Heard it continues it's decent because of tether causing more losses in the crypto confidence in the market.
This I don't know because I don't have an account on bitfinex so don't have any of that USDT either. Undecided

MAybe in few months / years somebody will read this, and think it was a very good time to buy...Or to exit. Can't tell right now. I stay on the boat with my noisy heaters !

If you invested at high levels $15000 or so, there is no point in selling in loss with fear. Wait for 3 months and sell when it reaches at least $20000.

As a pretty new crypto investor, I try to be a long time investor. I put in about 8 months pay in September/October and have had a 5x turn into a 2x. Today’s 2x is still an amazing roi. But days like we have had last week/month or so is somewhat stressing. But, I did go into the market with money I thought I was ready to ‘risk away’. But to this day, I am not considering selling out. I just kick myself for not investing many years ago...

Time and time again day traders talk about removing emotions from the equation. Although it hard not to be euphoric when bitcoin goes up 30% you need to be especially calm when it goes down. Thus create different situations out outcomes to reduce the panic. For instance:

If crypto drops, how will I react? Will I hold? Will I buy more? Can I buy more? Do I have fiat on the guidelines ready?
If crypto goes up, how will I react? Will I sell? Will I hold? At what level will I sell?

There is a youtube channel called Cryptoinvestor where the guy talks a lot about his thoughts when he invests. Irregardless of if you think they are good or not it is a great practice to see how others do it:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTKyJALgd09WxZBuWVbZzXQ

Also a podcast called Let's talk Crypto just released a good episode on the subject:
Episode 013 - Market crash lessons learned
https://schoolofcrypto.com/

So to answer the question: Never panic! Always stay calm. Do your best to keep emotions out of the equation and prepare for every situation. And if you still can't stay calm and start panicking, maybe you should consider scaling down the position.

Good watch and good read.
IMO
The crypto world is so vast that we lost track on what's happening now (and there are lot of things that an individual mind can't comprehend) and ended up selling some coins. LLast year bitcoins price is predicted to be at least 10k $ and a lot of people sell at 2-5k$, if you can't handle the rise of tides then how can you handle the drawbacks? There are thousands of other factors there, why BTC is falling and rising but never ever forget that this is in the name of money, the basic rule is "invest what you can afford to risk". Long time holders don't bother about this and short time holders are grinding their teeth. Those who are knowledgeable enough can control themselves, so where will you stand?

The falling and rising of the bitcoin's value shouldn't be worried because it happens a lot.
Every single minute the value can suddenly change. It can be low or high. Who knows?
If everybody knew when the bitcoin's value is falling and rising,  then they all will become rich men.
Just calm down and keep it mind that it often happens in the crypto world.
yes we do not need to panic with market conditions now because it is commonplace in the market sometimes rise and sometimes down. we just need to bear the coins we have and wait for the price to stabilize again. than we sell now because of panic and regret in the future because it did not think with the rise in the price of bitcoin is so high.

Bitcoin's price is not stable , that's a fact known by all the community almost, but there is no need to panic because even if the price decrease for some time it will increase again after a while and maybe reach highest level. We just need to be patients.
as long as the bitcoin price is still up and down, I think it will never stabilize. well, in my opinion, the decline in bitcoin prices that occur today is commonplace. in fact, I think this is a natural thing when bitcoin prices go up in 2017.

Well we can not stop or prevent a time like this from coming or bitcoin price from falling time to time because volatility is the number one characteristic of bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrencies, when there is a deep fall it always a panic time where investors who are not granded with the knowledge on how the bitcoin price chart work rush to sell they bitcoin at a cheap price and at the end run into lost.the best thing to do at a time like this is to hold.

Let's all panic sell on the 200MA line a day before the SEC meeting on crypto currencies  Roll Eyes
All the big players are waiting for what will come out of tomorrows meeting. They know it's not going to be anything horrendous and in fact it'll probably be great news for institutional investors and hedge funds and the set up will be perfect to buy in such largely oversold conditions.

My guess is bitcoin will fall to $7.5k but it falls lower than I anticipated, so now I panic with the fall of bitcoin price, but I will still to hodl bitcoin and will not sell it. If I sell bitcoin now, I feel like a fool, so it's better to hodling it in spite of panic.

No, do not worry yet, it is normal that during these first months of the year occur situations that make it seem that the bitcoin will finally be finished by governments and laws, the important thing is to endure and not abandon the business that has provided so many benefits to many of us. That is, take care of your investments, do not invest if it is not the right time, you have a plan B.

The year of 2018 does not seems to start well for bitcoin and all altcoins, all of the crypto-currencies prices are in deep red on the trading market chart, I wonder how many new crypto-currencies investors got hit really hard by this waves of price dropping everyday without any sign of price recovery at this short period of time.

My opinion is that the big investors are going to fall because of the trap that Bitcoin makes to collect and the small investors who fall into this trap. If we consider panic sales beside whale sales, this decline is extremely normal.

Nope its time to buy more, silly
there are some people that panic everytime bitcoin is falling but there's no reason for me to get panic even the price is getting low but  rather i will take this oppurtunity to buy more bitcoin and keep and wait until bitcoin price increases.

Exactly, I think its normal to see that people sells during panic. There's a lot of psychology involved, You going to hold ever if the price is going down? or would rather sell it today to minimizes losses? But what if the coins suddenly goes up and surge back again? There's so many intangibles that we need to ask ourselves before selling it. But eventually all weak hands are the first to push the sell button thinking that bitcoin will not recover, but they are all wrong.

We might be in the crisis that long unexpectedly, but if you are here long enough to witness all the ups and downs of the current market, you would worried that much because history tells us that bitcoin will bounce back because its resilient. This is just another roadblock we need to overcome.

Think positive when the Bitcoin price drops for me, I do not really panic when the price goes down,
I just think of the positive side, Like I can buy some while the price is low or I know this price will go up. because there will be many investors who will take this opportunity to buy while the price is down.
