I think bitcoin is essentially a tokens (financial instruments), with the "anti-government" characteristics, bitcoin is also an investment that can bring you extra income, gambling without these two characteristics, gambling rely on luck.

It's not gambling for sure but some people think it has no different than gambling because the price is not predictable. For me, it's clearly different than the gambling and casino games.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
For me,bitcoin is not a gambling but it depends also in you or in other user on how will they take bitcoin,it is a job or source of income or gambling.Bitcoin is just a simply investment company that offers instant income just in easiest and simplest way of working.I suggest to all people that before they'll start here in bitcoin they must read some threads for they to be knowledgable.

I agree with you. Bitcoin is not gambling. Because it can be long term. You must learn and read the news to get the most information so as to make the right decision to start investing into bitcoin. Well actually there is gambling with bitcoin. There is a betting site where you will bet on a team using bitcoin. Then if you win its value will double. And there are many sites using bitcoin. Well others might think also and feel that bitcoin is like a gambling. It is because there is a risk involve. My special someone told me that it is as if he was gambling when he bought bitcoin.

Why is it gambling: Anyone has no idea when the prices will rise or drop. Prices have reduced by 30% or so in single day without any solid reason. However, only difference here I see is that if you wait for 7-8 months after investing, profit is guaranteed based on past performance.
I think Bitcoin is not a gambling because in Bitcoin if you want to invest, you have a sure money. While in gambling nothing will say if you win or lose, it is in the process of gambling.

No I would not say bitcoin is gambling, what I would say is

When you invest money in buying bitcoin you can't know what its price will be tomorrow so you dont know if you are going to lose or win. But bitcoin is not gambling because we spend a lot of time hard working to earn bitcoin.
