Bitcoin is not Gambling. It is a digital currency used in different ways. Just for example in this forum. Yes it is used in gambling but not a Game itself. It is used as incentive, used for investments and trading. It is converted into fiat or may be a payment directly through internet. In our country it is also used to directly retail or buy load. Very handy and convenient. Bitcoin is more than the concept of Gambling.

Bitcoin is used for several things, traded, investment, gambling, it looks a game to invest and wait till a moment to jump out when you are at trading, but we cant consider bitcoin as gamble, since its much more then those. Bitcoin is being used in big part to gamble purpose since some countries did banned some games at their countries now those people can keep playing with bitcoin.

Investing in anything is a gamble regardless of what it is. tomorrow bitcoin could crash. the likelyhood of this happening is so small but its still a possibility and that's the gamble you're taking

I agree whole heartily.  To gamble you must bet your money without any chance of increasing the probability of winning through an understanding of the medium in which you bet.  With bitcoin, the more you know about it the more you will profit from it.

There are people that believe it is gambling.  We must not laugh because they believe this.  Instead lets speak to them calmly explain why bitcoin is not gambling.

Thanku guys. So its proved that bitcoin is currency and even dealing with it is not gambling. Its your investment which may be sometimes positive or negative or even may be stable for sometime.

Everyone here conveniently leaves out the fact that 4% of Bitcoin holders own 96% of available Bitcoins and the other 96% that hold the remaining 4% of coins are fanatically and religiously hoping that their % of full coins reach $500,000 someday.  Almost no one is actually using Bitcoin as a currency....another fact that everyone here is leaving out.  The numbers of vendors accepting Bitcoin has fallen since 2014.  What does that leave?  A whole bunch of people that depend on getting their friends, family, coworkers, and everyone else they know to put their money into it in order since the price to go up so that they can cash out before everyone else cashes out.  Take your time and read what the long term posters admit....that Bitcoin is an "investment" and not really a currency since next to no one is using it as a currency and it is many years away from even being practical as a currency even in 1st world countries....that is, if it lasts that long.

Go to Wikipedia and look up how a Ponzi scheme works.  Where I live, I know them well since everyone I know has been involved in them at one point in their lives.  The only difference is that Bitcoin is a decentralized version of it.

Indeed, bitcoin is cash, and it can be utilized for such a significant number of things, perhaps some of them are terrible things or great ones, however I don't comprehend those individuals who utilize bitcoin just to gamble, it is brimming with them in this gathering. I have been in a mark crusade of a person that was a truly card shark, he payed every one of us for one week, since he lost the week2 cash since he played on the roulette and he lost.

bitcoin is not gambling, maybe people who say bitcoin is gambling, they do not know what bitcoin is, but bitcoin can be a capital to gamble, since many gamblers have received payments using bitcoins.

Maybe what other people means is on investing your money to bitcoin is going to be a gamble for us, but if they just know that investing on bitcoin is the most safe and legit investment then I guess they wouldn't say about bitcoin that it is just a gambling or what.

Maybe they think its gambling because you will gamble your money by investing in bitcoin but they don't see the bigger picture on what bitcoin really is. People like that are narrow minded kind of people and we should not entertain them.

Bitconi is investment and if you define investment as a gambling than it is. I would sad that you can't predict how the price will move and whether on short term you will loose or make profit, but every investment is connected with risk and that should be accepted. You just have to know what are you doing ans why are you investing for, similar like on stock market with the difference that bitcoin is more profitable.

Its gambling for some because compared to other asset classes the risk is still very high on whether or not it will be able to survive long term. I wouldnt personally call it gambling, but I agree the risk level is far outside of the zone that people near the end of their lives should be investing in. I wouldnt tell my grandmother or my great aunt to invest in bitcoin, simply because they have a greater use for that money and can simply put it in TIPs or bonds.
