As interest rates grow in the field of cryptocurrencies, more and more people are involved. It is clear that the market is gradually gaining dominance in currency. The number one position will be effort to completely change payment by crypto.

Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency. These figures are noteworthy, but if the value of a single Bitcoin goes up to $15,000, India’s currency Rupee will pass. Ethereum ranked 17th and Bitcoin Cash ranked 20th. Ripple is located just below 20.
How many years Bitcoin will need to become No.1 ?

I think only in one year Bitcoin is going to beat Indian rupees
And in three years Bitcoin is going to be no. 1 currency

This is a beautiful picture, but I don’t think that it corresponds to modern reality. Capitalization of bitcoin has very strongly fallen since April, 2018, therefore it now does not enter even in first ten currencies. But it's still a very good position.

I think this is just a start. Bitcoin is very immature comparing other currencies and it has a long road to go. Maybe next year we see a post as "bitcoin is the world's 3rd largest currency". Maybe it will take time but it'll happen eventually.

I would like to see references and statistics about this.
But I would give a for your effort on sharing such idea and thoughts about the rank of bitcoins as a currency.
Though I believe that everyone already assume that bitcoin is the leading currency ever used,
I would still want more statistical results for such conclusions.
I think data about this is worth researching for.............. Thanks

USD is the leading currency ever used. What makes you think it's bitcoin?

Check cointelegraph website. It's their research, as I know

first of all bitcoin is the number 1 and in fact the only decentralized currency in the whole world.
secondly these numbers are market capitalization so when you consider coins like ETH you should omit their premines from the market capitalization. for ETH 72.5% of its current supply is premined so its market cap drops by as much. the same goes for Ripple, all of it is released by a centralized authority and no one knows how much is really in circulation.

If this is not taken into account, then the data are approximate.
In fact, the exact volume is difficult to calculate because of high fluctuations in the rate. The calculations made today, may become irrelevant tomorrow.

Bitcoin can grow so quickly that it can very soon become the number one currency for capitalization. For this he only needs a few years.

I think it means a lot, at least it allows you to influence the economy of some countries that are loyal to the cryptocurrency

After checking the bitcoin history and it's trade and usage in the world showing that bitcoin is the 6th largest currency which is decentralized and it is helpful for every one and in the world it's usage is available every where and every currency is convertible to bitcoin and it's back and for me bitcoin is more than any other currency because it is the one which perform many activities. Bitcoin is the 6th so the International currency Dollar will soon follow bitcoin after it's entering in the global market.

The more the usage ,the more it will come to the mainstream...and in the last year after such an increase in the price of Bitcoins many people got crazy after it...So the usage of bitcoins increased and so it gained such position.

bitcoin is not about competing with other currencies so it is not going to become number 1, 2, etc. bitcoin is just a new form of currency here to offer different options. the options that people wanted for years and because of that it will continue to grow but it is not about competing or replacing anything.
I agree with you. but a company or whatever has a vision and mission. in my opinion, bitcoin also has a vision and mission to become the number 1 buying and selling transaction tool.
if a company does not have the vision and mission to make their standards higher, it is certain that the company cannot compete with other companies.

In my opinion. increase in currency rank not because of the expensive or not the currency. the increase is the number of people who use the currency in buying and selling everyday.
it's useless if bitcoin rises to $ 15,000 while bitcon enthusiasts are still few and bitcoin is still rarely used in the buying and selling tool in this world.
if bitcoin wants to be the number 1 currency, bitcoin must be able to compete as a buying and selling tool. and bitcoin must be able to invite people to use bitcoin as a means of buying and selling around the world.

Looking at the first 5 currencies they've really been in existence for long. BTC on the other hand is just nearly a decade old, what I would had love to see is the value of BTC if it had started with those currencies. I think BTC just need a decade to overtake those front liners.

If things do not change and bitcoin continues to grow. With the development of the internet now, I believe that over the next 10 years Bitcoin will be the number one in the world. But that is just looking positive.

It is impressive to hear that btc is in the sixth position in the list of the most used currencies in the world considering that it is not a legal currency and therefore is not guaranteed by itself. And I believe that bitcoin will go further than it could get at number one at some point.

I can say for sure that in the near future bitcoin will become the first currency in the world, and it will be a fully balanced coin and will be accepted in most countries.
I agree mate! Even Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Believes Bitcoin Will Become the World’s Most Valuable Currency! So everything could happen)

Most importantly several investors within the cryptocurrency space believe that Bitcoin price will reach $45,000 by the end of 2018. This will indeed accomplish milestone of achieving a $1 trillion market cap in terms of circulation.
