only time will tell when will Bitcoin to become the main currency in the world because even the government in the world prevents it from happening. Even the central bank don't want it to happen and they will do in their power to prevent it.
A welcome development. By the time you factor in the time frame these coins have been in comparison to Bitcoin, you will know it has grown tremendously. Much still have to be done if it wants to be number one, which to me could be a harculen task considering the USA government wouldn't want this to usurp their currency.
in the near future I think we'll see a completely different picture where bitcoin will start moving to the first line of the world currency, this happens slowly but surely

Perhaps true, but it is not comparable to the real currencies that is governed and controlle by the government. Bitcoin is just like the new face of all these coins combined. Without the real money bitcoin could not exist because it has no physical structure like gold and it has only utility which exist in the digital world. So we cannot consider it as a comparison to fiat. But it is worth knowing that it has its place in that line-up in terms of value.

I feel pretty free with USD or EUR on my account and a mastercard to pay litterally anywhere for a small fee...
I think in value the bitcoin is the major currency but no body can calculate the exact amount and transaction s of crypto i believe that it is not transparent like dollars and pound etc so that's why it can not be judged accurately and for me it is the number 2nd currency after Dollar.
It is pretty hard to calculate the same for euros too. Countries mostly calculate what happens within their borders (GDP) but have a hard time calculating it globally. Only Us has a better idea since all US transactions go through US corresponding banks, but it is not the case for pounds or euros.

Interesting to see the Bitcoin in circulation than the Pounds Sterling. I will definitely have to dig further on this information. No doubt, the US dollar being a world currency would surely dominate, it is expected, what I am finding hard to believe is the position of the British Pounds Sterling. I am not going to say this is a fake one, however, if the aim is to draw or get people involved with Cryptocurrency, it is spot on. That is if it's not Dead On Arrival already because we have some intelligent folks who would fault this conclusion.
Please read my post (two over this one). It is not the case, there is confusion between Monetary Mass (or M0) and hard cash. M0 of the Pound Sterling is still much higher.

What were the yardstick use in giving the position, I the only condition that will deny bitcoin the first position is the level of adoption, usage, and circulation. Just give bitcoin time it will become number in the list.

Number sixth position is not appropriate for bitcoin because its popularity and its quality and features are meant to grab the number one position.
This is a great journey so far for bitcoin to be among the top 6 cryptocurrencies in the world. Among these top currencies, bitcoin has experienced the most objections by many. Notwithstanding all these hatred towards bitcoin, it continues to grow stronger. I believe bitcoin will be among the top 3 currencies in the world in a few years to come.
Step by step rank of bitcoin will rise same in coinmarketcap. Bitcoin become more popular and price will rise again. Possible in next 5 years Bitcoin will be the largest currency in the world. Lets wait and I believe price of bitcoin will double and even times 10 from the current price.
I think to 2020 it will become No1 and the most popular currency in Europe and Asia 
I am not sure of your predictions, 2020 will soon come soon. and I think 2 years won't be enough for bitcoin to become the biggest currency. even though it can happen but it takes a long time to achieve this Bitcoin can help us have a better future. In my opinion, Bitcoin is one of the highest in the world because of its volatility in the market and it also increases its time price over time. Bitcoin will be the highest value in the currency because it is also legalized and used.
I think the data about this is worth studying.
I was shaken by this graph and I want to see references and statistics about this. But I will give A for your efforts to share ideas and thoughts about ranking bitcoin as a currency. even though I believe that everyone has assumed that bitcoin is the main currency that has ever been used, I still want more statistical results for such conclusions.
