I guess Bitcoin will be able to overtake Indian Rupee sometime this year. But getting on par with the big four fiat currencies (United States Dollar, Euro, Chinese Yuan and Japanese Yen) will be a huge task. So BTC will remain as the 5th largest currency for sometime.
The task and the truth is not an easy one, but any large company can easily increase the bitcoin price. Thus, capitalization will swell.
I think Bitcoin already overcomes the Chinese Yuan and Japanese Yen already because the market cap of Bitcoin is the way much more larger than those currency.
Haven't passed USD and Euro yet but i think it's just the matter of time.

I think it can come up as it has the capability and potential to do that.It is the topmost cryptocurrency. In the coming future it can also compete with the fiat currency as people have now started to use bitcoin more.It is very easy to use.Transactions through bitcoin are also very smooth and faster than the normal ones. You can store any amount of bitcoins in your bitcoin wallet. No taxes are also implied on it so the user gets full amounts of profits. It is also expanding in the market more and more.

I really don't know how long bitcoin needed to be the number 1 because of bitcoin and cryptocurrency still a new technology which still develops by the dev and the team and it will a time to see it's accepted by all country. but it's possible to bitcoin and another coin to reach a good position in the future but still, no one will know the answer. I think if bitcoin is accepted in half of the country in the world especially the big country then the other country will think about this and they will adopt bitcoin and they will suggest their citizen use bitcoin too. and at that moment, I think bitcoin will rise and will get a higher position.

For me , I don't have any idea of currency largest than bitcoin because all I know among all the currency around the world digital or traditional only bitcoin is number one with the highest value.

all of those in the chart is centralized except bitcoin, when talking to the value even dollar can't be on the same level of bitcoin, 1 dollar is equivalent to 50 pesos only (in philippines) but 1 bitcoin is almost half million, let's say 500,000 peso ( philippine money), i think The title of the thread should not be 6th largest currency but "bitcoin is one of the valuable currency". all over the virtual and real money industry.

I do not understand how to compare this, BTC is a digital currency, can not be compared to the paper money, because they do not have a common measure to calculate. So I find this comparison not authentic. If you can convert to a common currency and compare it to be true.

not surprisingly bitcoin can grow into the world's famous coin and become the most famous crypto coin. this happens because bitcoin is a revolutionary coin with sophisticated blockchain technology. I predict bitcoin will be the number one coin in a few years.

I think to 2020 it will become No1 and the most popular currency in Europe and Asia  Wink

No, that is too optimistic. It can become the number 1 currency in the world but it will take at least 30-40 years.

At present, BTC has not been fully developed, and some countries in the world also prohibit BTC!

The trend of BTC to become the world's first currency is irreversible.

Will get the approval of most people in the world!

The BTC belongs to the Internet currency, and its value lies in its quantitative limit and liquidity. The future value will only get higher and higher.

If this trend could be continued then it will be the largest currency within 2020 for sure. In recent time, Bitcoin has been flourished around the world so people have become familiar with this platform in recent years. I hope Bitcoin will be most valuable currency very soon and It will be the largest currency also in the future.

In other words, bitcoin has exceeded the total amount of money in more than a hundred small and medium-sized countries.

The most critical positioning of bitcoin is the value notarization system of all mankind, and it is eternal!

I concur, much the same as what whatever is left of the folks are stating, its not equivalent as bitcoin resembles a contrasting option to those fiats, its like contrasting oranges and apples so with talk. dollar and euro will even now be the number cash as I would like to think, essentially on the grounds that its the most unmistakable and the most generally money being exchanged far and wide, while Bitcoin will remain and keep the best stop in crypto circle. In any case, it's extremely magnificent to see Bitcoin going up against the best money, yet I wouldn't put to much weight on it. Be that as it may, this is a decent diagram to counter those FUD that bitcoin is futile and has no esteem.

I think the bitcoin chart can not be juxtaposed with a currency chart of viat or banknote. ...
I was shook by this graphical chart and I would like to see references and statistics about this. ...
What measure of money supply is this using for the other currencies? ...
All I can say is that these figures are very misleading. ...

The chart in the original post is bogus, and of the more than 100 replies, only four other people have questioned it.
