So far only one other person has noticed that the graph is bogus. The graph is showing amounts of coin and paper currency and bitcoin has no coin or paper currency.

This demonstrates what signature campaigns have done to this site. 90% of the posts and replies on this site are clueless people posting nonsense.

I think to 2020 it will become No1 and the most popular currency in Europe and Asia  Wink

If that happens all the banks will collapse and governments will never let that happen. They will start banning bitcoins everywhere.

The real question is not how many years or how long will it take bitcoin to reach the number one spot in terms of currencies, the real question would be how bitcoin will achieve that, the reason why bitcoin hasn't reached the top yet is because it is still not legalized, governments and countries are not accepting it as a way for paying for things so people prefer not to use it, and major investors don't want to put money into it in fear of its instability, i think that if bitcoin gets accepted by all the big countries in the world it would defiantly reach the top and be used by everyone in the world for it is a currency full of advantages and benefits.

Wow, this is a great news about Bitcoin. I'm a Bitcoin lover and this news really motivates me and others who like and love Bitcoin as well. I think within another 5 years from now Bitcoin would pass each and every currency and would lead the world, Ethereum follows Bitcoin path and this is also a motivation for altcoin lovers I believe.

Day by day bitcoin adding value. It gets some years to pass the Fiat currency value. Because normal people still have doubt on bitcoin, cryptocurrency and its technology. We need more successful project to achieve this market capital. Rules and regulations are the biggest obstacles for the cryptocurrency.

There is no comparison at all because top fiat currencies have got a strong back on which economy of countries is based but while considering all the characteristics of bitcoin and by comparing it with all other currencies including fiat currencies it can be clearly seen that no currency comes even closer to bitcoin, that means bitcoin is still the number 1 currency of the world with purely decentralized network and volatile price.

I didn't know that. Very interesting. I do know that it consumes more electricity than allot of countries! its in the top 40 for energy consumption, beating off countries as big as Ireland! Im not saying this as a negative. I actually think its think huge expenditure of resources that make bitcoin what it is. POW all the way for me.

Bitcoin is never named in competition with other currencies. So it's 1,2 ... the number is not something like that. Bitcoin and many expensive coins such as gold coins, silver, dollars, altcoin, blockchain etc. are many coins. But the price of Bitcoin is increasing now than other coins. The use of day by day is increasing in the world. This number 1 or number 6 depends on its demand and price. Currently it is the 6th highest currency in the world, but it will soon improve its rank.

Bitcoin has significant differences from all other currencies. It's kind of unique. And it is the only decentralized currency in the world.I think that now it can be called a leader. Despite the fluctuations it still has the largest stomost.

This is surprising that bitcoin is included and got compared to the main currencies that we are using across the globe. Indeed, bitcoin has already been recognized all around the world and it is the stepping stone of the bitcoin that it will be top or second world’s largest currency.
Yes I think that bitcoin will be popular than USD. So we need to wait i think to 2020 if goverments dont ban btc. Time will show us the result!

This is a significant statistic, we all see that the new Bitcoin was popular recently, but it has gone through so many other potential currencies, and it is like a traditional currency. Bitcoin is becoming more popular and more anticipated by investors, I think it is possible Bitcoin will be able to surpass India's rupee next year.
As BTC will become more popular the other cryptocurrencies will become popular too. But for now I cant see any crypto that can be No1 instead bitcoin.

And in December 2017, it was the world's 5th largest currency. The problem is that the alts are leaching off a lot of market cap from Bitcoin. Else, Bitcoin would have overtaken the Japanese Yen in terms of market cap by now.

Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency. These figures are noteworthy, but if the value of a single Bitcoin goes up to $15,000, India’s currency Rupee will pass. Ethereum ranked 17th and Bitcoin Cash ranked 20th. Ripple is located just below 20.
How many years Bitcoin will need to become No.1 ?

It is ranked number 6, this is a big news for all Bitcoin users and believers. But sadly, even if Bitcoin is the world's number 6 currency, it is not actually utilized much as a currency. Yes, there are so many Bitcoin holders around the world, but only a smaller portion of these Bitcoin owners actually use Bitcoin as a currency. Many of them only hodl Bitcoin because they believe that Bitcoin would grow more expensive in the years to come.

I am very happy to see bitcoin in the sixth place, and I believe that with the promotion of blockchain technology, people will accept the cryptocurrency, and bitcoin will be the first place in the future.

im little bit late but I would give A for your effort on sharing such idea and thoughts about the rank of bitcoins as a currency. though I believe that everyone already assume that bitcoin is the leading currency ever used, I would still want more statistical results for such conclusions. I think data about this is worth researching for.
