do not be surprised if bitcoin becomes part of the world's largest currency because bitcoin can be a currency around the world. maybe 10 years in the future bitcoin could be the number one currency in the world because more and more users and more and more investors are interested in bitcoin.
Well that fact is bitcoin isn't a currency at all , bitcoin consider as asset just like gold.

I'll take a guess on this one. If bitcoin reaches the speculation of $250,000 and $1,000,000 I think bitcoin will become the no. 1 currency depending on the value of currency in the circulation.This is showing that its a currency for the future. This graph is really showing acceptance in near future. We need to buy more coins.

What measure of money supply is this using for the other currencies? Any measure of a total currencies worth will always be misleading as it is effectively the same as a market cap calculation. If all near 17m bitcoin were sold instantly on the market at the exact time then the total amount received would not be the $135bn that market cap suggests. This is the same for fiat currencies also.

Indeed, a very good place considering its time of existence. Sooner, it will become the top currency because many people would be acccepting bitcoin. Likewise, it will be the highest priced currency in the world. It's good to think and expect that these will possiblt happen so soon.
Day after day, statistics, proves and evidence keep coming out about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. This is showing that its a currency for the future. This graph is really showing acceptance in near future. We need to buy more coins.
Maybe a few years from now or maybe before or after 2026 the said the all bitcoins will be finish mine in 2026 so maybe at this year in the future bitcoin already be the number 1 currency around the world and probably that price is 50,000$ to 100,000$ each bitcoin.
We cant realy predict how long bitcoin will be the number 1 in crypto currency world and i dont think there is some new coins will be made in the future that can beat bitcoin. Even etherium also is a very popular crypto currency and tip 2 in the market he is still way too far on the bitcoin price.
That is such a big news for the users of bitcoin . For all other currencies that are fiat for a country , so many transactions takes place everyday . Despite of this fact bitcoin has managed to come up to 6th place . This surely tells that bitcoin is also making millions of transactions everyday or on daily basis . For the second largest country i.e India , there is only a small percentage of gap between Indian rupee and Bitcoin which is again a benchmark and I am sure bitcoin will be able to come up to 5th position pretty soon . For a currency that was made a decade ago , it is a great moment.
Not trying to spoil anything, but Bitcoin is a whole new and fresh alternative, it's something totally new, most currencies of the world are from developing countries that don't see many growth opportunities. So for a currency like Bitcoin that's not very surprising to be honest.

bitcoin is not about competing with other currencies so it is not going to become number 1, 2, etc. bitcoin is just a new form of currency here to offer different options. the options that people wanted for years and because of that it will continue to grow but it is not about competing or replacing anything.
Bitcoin is at the moment most searched,most discussed and most joining currency as investment in the world but due to some regulation and FUD news world is not spreading or displaying it. so be happy soon it will be No.01.
I was shook by this graphical chart and I would like to see references and statistics about this. But I would give A for your effort on sharing such idea and thoughts about the rank of bitcoins as a currency. though I believe that everyone already assume that bitcoin is the leading currency ever used, I would still want more statistical results for such conclusions. I think data about this is worth researching for.
It's really interesting to see bitcoin becoming the 6th largest currency in about 10 years. But for me its nice to see it amongst the top, but I don't think they are measureable is terms of fiat. It's crypto for one and the market is based on speculation, maybe some day it will jump to #1 but when it fall, it might as well go and rank #100.
But to answer the OP questions regarding it being #1 in the future, my best estimate is around 2020-2022, I think the current number of crypto enthusiast will be doubled by that time. And all other crypto will made their mark around the top 10 as well, (ETH and Ripple and BCH).

first of all bitcoin is the number 1 and in fact the only decentralized currency in the whole world.
secondly these numbers are market capitalization so when you consider coins like ETH you should omit their premines from the market capitalization. for ETH 72.5% of its current supply is premined so its market cap drops by as much. the same goes for Ripple, all of it is released by a centralized authority and no one knows how much is really in circulation.
