If anyone should ask for my financial investment advice I will gladly introduce Bitcoin to them, but that is if they are going for long-term holding Bitcoin price is low at the moment and any purchase below DCA of $20,000 is a good buy-in.
And if held for long or will definitely yield in price and thereby give good profits, and if the Bitcoin is bought bits by bits it will be less risky since there is the possibility of more Bitcoin price decline but if the price go otherwise it will affect your purchasing power unless you are ready to increase the capital per months.

It depends for the length of purpose holding your coin also its good if you have different assets and not just only for single coin if the market crashes you will not get nothing and also investing in crypto currency market volatility makes you think to invest on what coin with this current situation of the market ideal to accumulate token as much as you can so when the bull run comes you are not getting left behind.

This is even more true now when we see so many projects go bankrupt, even projects with a strong community, and many investors lose all their money. There is no need to increase risks by investing in altcoins. When bitcoin starts to grow it will bring good profit, maybe it will be a little less than some altcoins will do, but you don’t know which altcoin will grow and make a profit, and which one will go bankrupt.
That is because we have focused on making the project devs richer and not ourselves, that caused all of this.
If we keep giving more and more money to new projects, then people will create projects just to take our money and nothing more, that causes all the trouble we have right now.

I know that we could also focus on the old ones and not give our money but that doesn't sound like it would actually make any progress, we need new projects to provide us with new ideas and developments as well.

So, we need to just find the good ones and invest, and ignore the ones that are just copy of the others, and that way we could both make money and also not risk it.

Of course, investing in bitcoin is safer than altcoins but I wouldn't advise anyone if they are completely new to the market. Bitcoin is a good investment but it also becomes harmful to other people if they don't know anything about Bitcoin, don't know its volatility and unfortunately, they buy bitcoin at ATH then they will fail as usual. So educate them rather than advise them to invest in the first place.

-snip-

It is quite obvious that bitcoin is far more safe investment than altcoins but most retail investors failed to understand this reality.
Yes, the investment is everyone's personal and individual decision, and they are responsible for any loss or profit from investment in cryptocurrencies.

I think instead of remaining silent; it is better to guide our near and dear ones to invest in bitcoin and don't get greedy seeing the altcoins returns are more that the bitcoin investment. It is our duty to at least tell them the truth that altcoins investments can be risky (also give them examples of FTX and LUNA scams) and then let them decide where they want to invest.

Despite of the fact Bitcoin is more reliable that most of the altcoins, there is people who try to find the "next Bitcoin", they believe they missed out both Bitcoin and Ethereum, but they ignore this is not a matter of price but rather a matter of percentages.

I have read people who believe they should not buy Bitcoin (regardless of the bear market), because they assume crypto is only supposed to be bought at cents and sold for thousands. It is a sort of financial lack of education or awareness.

-snip-

You are correct, we should always teach people and allow them to make their choice. But for record purposes, I have never taught anyone about cryptocurrency and begin to mention alcoins. I don't even mention them individually. I will only say that there is bitcoin and there is altcoins which includes Eth, Bnb, dodge etc. That is the extent that I go.
If the person insist I should tell them where to invest, I'll tell them where I invested, which is in BTC.

Anyone I'm BTC should not have the mindset of getting rich overnight. If anyone has such mindset, let them invest in altcoins and shitcoins, they could become overnight millionaires.

In the end, it is also tempting not to talk about Bitcoin at all, so one can conceal one's satoshis holdings.
Funny enough, not even early adopters of Bitcoin became rich over night, they also had to hold for a while and resist the temptation to sell at prices like 100$ or 1000$ many sold and nowadays regret it.

Using the strong community as a lure is not enough to persuade everyone to invest in altcoins. Bitcoin is the real deal here; I would not recommend any altcoin. Altcoins with a large community are now mostly centralized by individuals or investors. Why not invest in a coin that does not require a third party to own ownership? Irrespective of my sentiments, I would advise the person to go with bitcoin.

This question is too general, so the answer also still depends on several things:
1. What coin is compared to Bitcoin. Because someone will definitely go straight to one or two altcoin names.
2. The goal or target of that person to make an investment.
For me this is easy enough to answer. When talking about bitcoin, what people always describe is a fairly promising investment, because the long process it has gone through has had a significant impact on protecting investment value. So far there is not a single relevant coin to compare with bitcoin, both directly related to price and market capitalization that affect it.
Bitcoin is an alternative in investment, while altcoins still give a question mark about its future.

Quote
You cannot apply the same answer to everyone with different coins/tokens and missions.

Example:
Some people say buying Doge is better for getting money faster and more than buying BTC. Me and others say, Doge is shit.
Generally people will definitely choose bitcoin, although this answer cannot be given in general to everyone, the advantages of bitcoin are far greater than altcoins and almost many people know this.
Likewise the other way around, some people say buying Bitcoin is faster to get profit and that is much more true in my understanding. Especially when people can buy Bitcoin at the right time, but the amount of profit depends on the amount of investment people take. Finally we can conclude that bitcoin is far better than altcoins in any capacity and comparison.

I personally believe that one should not tell others where to put their money, but rather guide them and help them to do their own research. I think investments are quite a personal think.

In that order of ideas, if someone asked me where to invest then I would likely present the pros and cons of those altcoins in the top 10 and also the things one needs to keep in mind while holding Bitcoin. In the end, it is better when people invest in something their actually believe in and not only because someone gave them unprofessional advice.

Yes, of course I may suggest or prefer someone to invest in bitcoin.
Just suggesting and sharing what I know.

Because I prefer not to have any full influence on a person as to where they will put their money to invest.
I better explain what and how the risks are in investing in bitcoin or altcoins.
By explaining it like that, of course they will know more about the risks and they will be better prepared for any possibilities that will be faced.
I prefer to share what I know and let them decide where to invest their money.

I think it's wiser for the person to take responsibility for their own investment with their own knowledge and research.
If they are successful with their investment it will definitely be more enjoyable because of their own efforts and decisions.
If they are not profitable with their investment of course it will be an experience for him.
I think we will be better off if we stand by our own experience right?.

There are a lot of different approaches to investing into the crypto space. I’ve tried different moves over the last few years but I’ve had the best gains on BTC more then altcoins.

In fact, at the moment I’m basically all in on Bitcoin. BTC just always preforms, I mean when you look at the history of consistent gains I think I’m in a great position. I don’t even look at my wallet these days, I’m all about the long hold.

The reason for which Bitcoins always perform is just due to the huge marketcap of the coin. As Bitcoins are way too popular that, whenever it comes down in price, the next moment it hints that it will grow up. Bitcoins historically moves also made him quite popular for which many people along with me are more interested than any other altcoins. I am not saying altcoins are bad, the fact is that, the risk involved in it is high. For safe and secure long term investments, Bitcoins are a great choice.

Leaving sentiments asides, will you advise someone to still buy some Bitcoins (Not up to the value of 1)  if they have an amount of money that will be okay to purchase the equivalent of 1 of a good altcoin with a strong community? Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?
I will choose Bitcoin always. Especially during these times like now. For me, it is much better to accumulate more Bitcoin than altcoin, I'm not telling altcoin is really not worth it, but maybe a small percentage is good. Because for me, Bitcoin is always the largest percentage on my bag.

Whether still in a state of sentiment or not, bitcoin is much better than altcoins, I believe you do not mean to compare bitcoins with altcoins, but rather try to speculate about the advantages of both. In more distant cases, Bitcoin is more reliable as a promising asset compared to Altcoins. That's why people will keep on suggesting bitcoin as the best investment, altcoins have found a worse path, Luna being the smallest part of the bad examples that altcoins have produced or there are many other examples you can find.

Bitcoin and Altcoin both are best in their own perform. But when you have to compare them then i choose to prefer Bitcoin. Bitcoin is king of all coin and most valuable coin then altcoin. I think people always start to investing with their own choice or someone's advice by their total amount for invest.Don't be panic in bitcoin price. Bitcoin price always surprised us so i believe bitcoin price will be recover again. So you can hold long time, you will be benefited from your holding coin.

Actually, I also feel that things like this are too much because if indeed we compare things like this, there are continuing to exist, even as time goes by, about bitcoin and altcon or maybe one altcoin with another.
Is it true that this difference will eventually become a benchmark because I think of course not because in this case we have our own selection for that.
Apart from that we know a lot of people's absolute answer is "bitcoin" nothing else on this subject.

I agree with your statements! It seems to me that it is not necessary to divide bitcoin and alternative cryptocurrencies into categories so much, because all this refers to financial instruments! Each tool has its own distinctive features. For example, bitcoin has a much larger capitalization and it is much more difficult to raise the price for it, and alternative cryptocurrencies have a smaller capitalization and it is much easier to raise their price!!! It's just that, of course, a huge role is played by the fact that bitcoin originally appeared, and only then alternative cryptocurrencies went, and only because of this more attention is paid to Bitcoin, but according to their idea these are all financial instruments.

I won't advise anyone to buy BTC or altcoins, both are risky investments. He/she will blame me if I advise him/her to invest. However, if someone asks for help, I only want to explain the advantages and disadvantages of investing in each Bitcoin and altcoins. Then, he must decide himself to choose which coin he desires. The basic thing is to invest in crypto with our own intention/own will, don't invest in BTC or altcoins because of others' advice.

By the way, BTC may be a safer coin to invest in. But altcoins sometimes can be more profitable than Bitcoin. Because each has its own advantages and disadvantages, people prefer to diversify their assets by investing in both.

DWYOR

The best decision, should not give any investment advice to anyone, especially those who do not have any knowledge of the market. Cryptocurrencies are extremely risky investments, and many people are unwilling to endure market volatility and accept losses. If anyone asks me, I will also give them the knowledge and the most basic things to be able to enter the market. We invest in crypto but we also cannot guarantee that we will make a profit in this market so it makes no sense to give financial advice to others.
