It seems Bitcoin did not dump this Christmas instead it tries to rally but instead go sideways.  It seems history of Bitcoin getting dumped on Christmas does not happen, I just hope that history of price of Bitcoin before and after halving wont break its tradition else it would be a disaster for those who are waiting for this event.  Though it would be a Bliss to those who wanted to buy Bitcoin.

I don't think it's all December though, 2017 was purely different.
Moreover, if you think it's affecting all December then it's because December is when most people close some of their investments for another for the coming year. Those who feel that Bitcoin is not giving them any return might want to reinvest the funds into something else.

In which case, we should have seen those people close it off even in November already dyring the sudden dip in that month.

The Christmas theory might have worked a couple of years ago even when the Americas and Western Europe psychologically felt the influence of the new year and Christmas.

But the Bitcoin world isn't as homogenous anymore. More people, owners and users coming from emerging economies, where Christmas isn't that big a deal, and where the calendar year doesn't end in December.

If there was any effect, this would be the last years to get a sniff of it.

That's just an hypothetical theory made before but I don't really think it's relevant to believe those words since we already seen that in every Christmas Eve there's either stability or pump happens but there's no decline maybe we saw those little dump on past few days maybe the reason of that is the hacking incident which involves with plus token.

And there's no supporting fact that needed to worry about cashing out and go crazy with this season.

breakout has been seen, bitcoin prices have tried hard to go up. For Christmas, I think it has no effect. it's just after this, I hope that bitcoin has a good year-end closing. at least able to break the price at $ 8000. because if bitcoin closes at that price, then the next is a new level for pumps.
Bitcoin failed to pump during Christmas and now let’s hope that we welcome a new year with a great price trend that will push the price to reach the top. Have a blessed new year for us and hoping that bitcoin will be great again, hoping that the halving will make a big difference on its price.

Isn't it we have a good pump around $7500 though? However, it seems that it was just a bull trap as the price simply went down to $7200. So let's see if we can go back to $7500 at least up to the end of the year. And then everyone should look forward as what 2020 will bring to us. Two years from $19k (all time high), let's hope for at least another five digit run next year.

I know about bitcoin since 3 years. And I have been continuously seeing that during Christmas [25 December] Crypto Markets dump hardly. So what do you think about this Christmas and BTC price movements? Dump is coming to near? Or we can a different scenario in this Xmas?

We already see Christmas is over, but the spirit is still there, and the bitcoin price is not moving to another price. I think bitcoin price movements might be starting to moves after the new year because people are now taking a long holiday so they will be back in the market after the new year. But I don't hope or expect we will see a dump that will come.

Breakouts have taken place, and few altcoins too have slowly recovered. This might be a beginning for the growth. Compared to the starting days of the year what we've got is a good year ending. In simple if there is no growth from the second quarter of the year now people might be in panic that there won't be any further growth. Now that isn't anymore in the minds, people always look forward with hope for a steady growth.

I remember a few years ago there's a lot of people that has the same opinion that people will cash out during holidays because of the tradition of giving gifts and the same goes for other events like Chinese New Year. But it's different now, we haven't seen a huge pump/dump during the Christmas day but before that we saw the market went through a huge dip. I think we're about to see different scenario from time to time, pumps and dumps are coming at different time intervals and occasions.

Maybe there is absolutely no correlation and maybe we are just forcing to find something that is not there. Sometimes the market needs to find someone to blame for the fall, for example in September when the price went down everyone blamed BAKKT for their horrible start, now I am not saying that drop wasn't because of BAKKT but we can't directly find the connection between the two, all we know there could be some rich person who sold thousands of bitcoin at the same time as a coincidence?

So, same goes for here, bitcoin went up like crazy just 2 years ago during the Christmas time and made the all time high, that means if there were people who always sell their coins during Christmas to cover the expenses, they didn't need money 2 years ago? There was no Christmas on 2017? Could it be regarding Christmas? It could be, but we can't say it was %100 because of that.

There is no relationship at all all pure market movements.
Not everyone who celebrates Christmas knows bitcoin.
Maybe it will be different if everyone already knows bitcoin then I'm sure will have a big impact on the price of bitcoin.

I'm not so convinced that there is direct link between Christmas and bitcoin price.
Some think that price is falling because many users exchange bitcoin for fiat because of excessive spending during December but still that can't influence the price so significant because that is not si large number of users. I don't even think that price will recover with beginning of the next year.

Christmas is already done and we are near to end the year and I didn't saw any big price movement yet, so I don't know that the price will lifted up in the end on december but I am sure that next year will be surprise and for sure the event will give a big impact to it. I couldn't imagine how far the price will up and how users are getting ready for it but also for sure we will experience a better scenario next year that we can't expect.
I will agree with you mean about the scenario next year 4 days we will enter the zone in question ,when many experts also consider it real and will also lead to people who will always be enthusiastic about raising prices ,this December still looks good not there is a big dump on the market

When Christmas is sure to have a holiday, when holidays the market volume will decrease, which means prices will not cause significant turmoil.
There will only be sideways until the holidays end, until waiting for the trading volume to start crowded again.
So enjoy your holiday over Christmas rather than being confused to monitor the current price of bitcoin because there is no significant price movement.
You can check the chart in tradingview or in your favorite exchange. Wink
Some people believed Christmas withdrawal or exchange of bitcoin to fiat does not have any impact on its price which I strongly disagree close watch of btc/usd chart in the last few days shows a minor decline in its price and market volume decreasing significantly, once the holidays ends market volume is going to increase invariably result into pumping of the price.

To be true this isn't the reason for any form of price dump by the days close to Christmas.

It could pump or dump at any day, Christmas is not a significant event in the market, true people might sell to get money for holidays but it should not result to a market dump, the only reason I can think of that will result to a market dump is when there is a bad news. THAT'S IT!

There is nothing as price dumping for every Christmas. Last year there wasn't big growth, and same is with the present year. During the year 2017 it gave good growth. As most users mentioned bitcoiners were found in large number in Western Countries than the rest of the world. This makes more selling of bitcoin during the Christmas season. And this increased sell off is misunderstood as reason for price drop. To be true this isn't the reason for any form of price dump by the days close to Christmas.

Christmas is over, and bitcoin is still in the support zone, it seems like December is not the season of bitcoin,
but the altcoin season, the altcoin season is still not 100%, we must wait until bitcoin dominance drop

What do you mean bitcoin dominance drop? btc will never go down to its dominance it will always be the top cryptocurrency for more years. The reason why the price are still hanging around the support level is that some investors have still a doubt over the market situation where it was supposed to be pumping right now because of the 2020 btc halving.

Additionally the scamming event of plus tokens add the doubt of the investor right now since they accumulate a huge volume of money which can contribute for the fear of new investors to come up right now maybe the season doesn't affect for now but let's think In good way that there's a great price change will happen next year.
