If you want to exchange Bitcoin to Ethereum, that is your right. But why don't you think that Bitcoin is still the direction of all altcoins? In my opinion, staying in bitcoin will be the right step for you.

Hello, like lot of people, i'm thinking that crytpo market will pump one day, (maybe this year, maybe next, but it will). actually ETH dump more than BTC, and so my question is : It is better to exchange my btc in eth ? If price increase and reach their past prices, have ETH more potential (in %age) ?

Ethereum is one of the best cryptocurrency whose future as an existing smart contract transaction is great but exchanging ethereum to bitcoin is  something I can regard as a mistake in this current market fluctuations because even if ethereum increases later in the market bitcoin will also increase tremendously, so I will suggest that you can exchange little of your bitcoin to ethereum in order to make ethereum alive but I will prefer 40% of your bitcoin to ethereum and keep the 60% of bitcoin.

Don't do it. BTC has a limited circulation = 21M of bitcoins. While the ETH in circulation is growing every 15 sec (up to 18M new eth every year) = 10-17% inflation rate during next 5-7 years. So what do you want to have smth limited or smth that is not? I will not be surprised to see ETH for 13 USD at the end of this year.

If you exchanged your BTC to ETH what will be your situation now?

You're in lost. Don't convert your bitcoin to any altcoin though this is my opinion, its going to depend on your choice of crypto's.

potentially, ETH fell more in price than bitcoin and therefore has a greater potential for growth...but I think the main growth will begin precisely with Bikin and only then will rise basic coin.

Bitcoin is always king, even if ETH has potential, it can only rank second, and with the increase of competitors, the location of Ethereum may change!

You are right, if the market will start to recover, Eth will probably do even better than Bitcoin. It is just quite uncertain, when it will happen.

The index of dominance of bitcoin this week has updated a maximum of 2018. At present, this indicator is already 57.8%, although only yesterday it was 56.3%.

It would be better if you continue to hold Bitcoin Bro, because all the altcoins in the crypto world follow the Bitcoin price movement, but it all depends on each of us in investing.

We can not be sure what will happen. If the market is still going down, there is a chance that Eth will lose even more compared to Bitcoin IMO.

very good your idea, but don't all of you exchange to ETH coin, leave it for bitcoin, because the prediction about the price increase is quite long, for this month only eth movement is still down.
bitcoin still remains the top coin in all markets. Good luck!

Bitcoin will remain the number one coin in crypto currencies until competing coins appear that have more efficient features than bitcoin.

Here no one will give you advice having 100% probability. Think for yourself and make a decision. In favor of your idea says that now a very good ratio of BTC to ETH and it is very profitable to buy Ethereum for Bitcoins.

No do not do it. Ethereum is not to be trusted to rise like bitcoin will do. I advise you do not convert your bitcoin to it. Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency too certain to getbup back after a crash.

ETH dumps so much! I am also worrying about ny ethereum in my wallet. Maybe, this is not the time for ethereum and it may goes down more. However, I am tempted to buy more ethereum specially it is really cheap today. I hope it will move high when October goes on!

I'm holding similar amounts of both but buying more ETH at the moment, below $200 for ETH is a great price to me.

It is logical, what you are writing, in case of a bull market, I have no doubt Eth will overperform Bitcoin. It has more room to grow now for sure. But in the same time, we have no idea when this bull market will come, and what will happen until than. There are sometimes just bigger drops in the market, than what we could imagine.

now I would choose bitcoin. Why? because it is much more stable and less vulnerable. We observe how the etherium falls, but bitcoin holds positions and volumes of capitalization.

I have made a computation before that during the all time high, if you got more ETH you're more profitable than a person that has an average bitcoin.

But when we are in the bear market, its more profitable to have bitcoin than to have ETH. Why not just buy ETH with your free money so you won't be able to move any single satoshi's you have?

If you have eth, I think you should sell them as soon as possible, If you haven’t already done so.  The price will much likely keep falling the next many months.
