Is expecting a 10-20x return on XRP a dream though? I don't feel it is too outrageous a prediction if they win the case like they are expected to.

It's a dream but that may possibly come true once bitcoin will able to reach another ATH and so, you shall be patience waiting for bitcoin to go to the next ATH which is not having ETA about when that will be happening for sure.

Think about that. XRP ATH was around 6x times from the current price and that means thinking about the possibility for reaching the previous ATH is making more sense rather than aiming more ROI than was even surpassing old ATH.

Use your sense. Bitcoin is not possible anymore to increase around 10x -20x from the current price. All of money in the world need to go to the bitcoin to make it happen.

That's reasonable statement to say that if XRP is not having chance to go to the 10x -20x from the current price as it has not yet even surpassing the old ATH.

Bitcoin is the main option, XRP is too speculative. No one can predict how big XRP price in the next bullrun season, especially if the case with SEC isn't over yet. The current price of XRP is around $0,46, it is too far from $50 or $100. Even its ATH is only around $3,4. So, it is no sense if we expect to see XRP $50 or $100 in the next bullrun season. Anyway, we have many top altcoins, why we must choose XRP? XRP isn't so secure because of its case with SEC. Why don't to choose ETH, BNB, ADA, SOL, MATIC, or DOT? I think we are better to choose top altcoins that have no bad issues. It is too risky to invest in an altcoin that potentially drops its price whenever there is bad news related to its case.

There has been a lawsuit against XRP for many years anow and is the reason it didnt have a great bull run in 2021.

The case is likely to be over by the end of 2023 and is likely will go in XRP favour and if this happens then bull run 2024/25 will be great for XRP.

It is more risky going with XRP than Bitcoin but the rewards will be a lot higher.
Speaking of which, Ripple's SEC lawsuit.
But this doesn't signify that there shall be a quick bull run for XRP. The market is still dependent on its demand although for some fundamentals, it is also affecting it but sometimes not a lot.

Sound to me like you are looking to get rich quick, and we all know how that's end.
Not quick, but next bull run is possible in 2025. That will not happen if most of my portfolio is in Bitcoin.

Nothing against Bitcoin , I just plan to make profits with my alts and then put majority of the profits I make into Bitcoin for the long run.
2 years of waiting for the bull run is a long time but there is no problem for us who trust bitcoin the most. For you who likes quick and easy profit, you will choose coins other than bitcoin like you said earlier.

The more the bull run will happen if people are only holding bitcoin but what can we do, altcoins are already created and people are now dividing their funds to invest on them but bitcoin bull run can still occur and altcoins will still be pulled upwards because of it. If ever what you were saying is true that you will put your future profits in bitcoin, then that was great but why not have bitcoins with you right now? When the price is still cheap? Isn't it possible?

I have neither of the above but am leaning towards XRP.

I believe Bitcoin will reach $100k next bull run but that is less than a 4X from current price.

I have been researching more into XRP lately and have read price predictions ranging from $5 to $100 next bull run.

I dont believe XRP will reach $100 or even $50 next bull run but feel like it could reach $5 which sounds conservative compared to all the predictions I have heard but is still a 12X from current price.

I am leaning more towards XRP purely for the better possible returns. I do believe Bitcoin is here to stay but less than a 4X from current price doesn’t appeal to me.

This is my first bull run coming up and I want to put a lot of the profits I make into Bitcoin in the 2026/27 bear market to then possibly cash out in the 2028/29 bull run when Bitcoin should at least be around $200k.

Thoughts on this? Anyone more into XRP or is everyone here pro Bitcoin?
You should not take those predictions seriously at all, a quick look at the charts of both of those coins will tell you everything that you need to know, bitcoin surpassed the ATH that it reached during the 2017 bull run, while XRP failed to do so, meaning that anyone that invested on XRP at the peak is still losing money, while those that did so in bitcoin made a lot of money already, if that does not tell you everything you need to know about XRP and bitcoin then nothing will.

it may be less than x4 of the current price but it is only 32k away from the recent Bull run meaning if we will follow the trail , then we are not truly far from bitcoin reaching 100k.

Obviously Bitcoin. Bitcoin is father od All crypto currency. I think total market depen on Bitcoin. When Bitcoin price atart pump then all cryptocurrency will pump and when bitcoin price down then all cryptocurrency And quantity of bitcoin is very low. On the otherhand XRP is not bad but it quantity is huge and It's volume is low from Bitcoin. Its position is six and Bitcoin position is One in coinmarketcap and others market. So we can tell bitcoin is best from xrp.
You are right except for the volume. Xrp being the 6th ranked coin, means that its volume is also high. It is very liquid and easy to sell because every exchange has an xrp on them but this is not the reason why xrp is in-demand, but it is due to the fact that it is fast. I rarely experience delay when using an xrp but I notice lately that the fees in xrp is getting higher.

Now, I need to pay over 0.2xrp to make a transaction but before it was only 0.0xx. This didn't prevented me anyway to use it. It was still cheaper compared to other cryptos but when it comes to investment purposes, nothing beats the original, that is none other than bitcoin.

~

If you ask me, Bitcoin would be my topmost priority and there are tons of reasons as to why. But that doesn't mean that I'd also ignore and let myself miss out on the good potential profits that XRP has to offer.

What I'm trying to say is that you, OP should not let greed cloud your decisions. taking risks is good and all but taking risks that are calculated is even better. Just try to allocate your funds well and make sure that you don't over invest on XRP or any altcoin; just enough to give you some space or capital left for DCA-ing just in case. Hope this helps.

I wanna hope for you mate , since I can see in your total post about how you trusted Ripple this way.
but remember that it is always safe to diversify mate , so there is no need to only focus in single coin , though I understand that you only have limited funds to put in and yes you knew what you are entering , lets discuss this after the halving to what happened to our investments .

It all depends on you because its your money to be spend or invest. We do have different considerations on whatever coins which we do saw does have that kind of potential when it comes to price increase or shoot up
on upcoming bull run. If you do prefer on earning 10x or more then Bitcoin investment isnt for you but if you do like to stick into somewhat safer investment then Bitcoin would be the viable choice to make.
Honestly, we have tons of coins in the market which we could really make out some investment on which it would really be that normal that we do go after on something that could give us out some bigger profits.
So its up to you whether you would be touching some altcoins or not. For XRP then i dont know if their current case or issues had been solved out or not but on the time that it would be cleared up
then for sure it would be making up some pumps but im not into something which is centralized.  Smiley

Sure, altcoins have more room to grow with one bull market as they have lower marketcap. But why Ripple from all the altcoins? Imho it has no future, it had a purpose as moving coins cheaply between exchanges but now you can do that with L2, so ripple is kinda useless. If it's more gains you are looking for you most likely do that by going lower on top marketcap coins. Even midcaps can do fairly well if you choose the right one.

For me, Bitcoin is the best and most reliable option, but if you like adventure and risk, you should buy XRP.

Nobody knows exactly what the future of XRP is because the Ripple case is not over so there is a big risk, it could be 12X up and it could be 12X down, that's a big risk.

Not sure where you are getting these metrics and predictions but I hope you are not blindly following some influencer or social media scum who is trying to dump their bag and make money off you. This forum might be biased towards bitcoin but for XRP, I would be be skptical everytime. While you might make some quick gains and some cheap thrills, the long term value of XRP is way lower compared to Bitcoin.

In crypto currency we always go with the long term value and not short term gains.

Whether long term or short term I would choose BTC as the dominant portfolio in this market over any altcoin, not just XRP. More realistically looking at what XRP has been up to in recent years, getting caught up in the SEC controversy, it leaves me with a rather vague feeling about the future, either it could turn out to be hugely profitable or it could be. may again depreciate and cause the investment to be buried. So I prefer to take a more realistic stance, if you are willing to accept the risk or benefit factor, it will always be one of the altcoins that receive a lot of attention, but don't compare BTC. in terms of profitability, when our criteria for position and risk tolerance will be very different, like if you have a lot of money or very little money, your choice of bitcoin or altcoin is also very different.

Well I am not agreeing with you entirely but what you say is true. You will probably make much more money investing in Alts rather than Bitcoin because the market cap is lower.

This is why many people bought PePE recently because it did a 200x which is not possible now with Bitcoin. However keep in mind that the smaller the market cap the higher the risk. Bitcoin won’t go to 0 most likely but these altcoins and meme coins have a very good chance of heading to 0.

Actually, this doesn't need to be answered anymore, surely most people will be more prepared and pro towards Bictoin, no need to doubt it anymore. even though the increase you said was a little but more organized in my opinion
well this is why OP is asking here in Altcoins section because she/he wanted to earn support and not criticism from bitcoin supporters though he mate a comparison and enough for bitcoin supporters and XRP critics to take place.

Well, I support XRP in the past even holding this and joined the staking few years ago, but now? i abandoned this coin and focus in other altcoins for more safeties and of course possible increase next halving.

I don't think, your prediction on XRP will happen this year 2023 because whenever the price of Bitcoin is pumping other cryptocurrencies price will be pumping too to allow investors to prepare well so that they will not regret when the price hit $100,000 in the future. You can invest huge amount of money on Bitcoin and little on XRP, because sometimes altcoins price used to take some long time before the price will start rising in away those that invested in the past will start experiencing positive results from their investments. I think, the price of XRP is still low in the market, and it will be favourable if you can use this period to buy XRP and hold like 3 or 4 years before you can sell.
it is not about 2023 mate , instead about the growth in Bullrun (next bullrun i mean)

if you are truly believing in XRP then you must know about their case facing against SEC in USA and that is a very hard status why XRP is still having this problem.

PEPE - a meme coin done more in a few hours than Bitcoin has done in years.
Yes it is rubbish but it made people money and that is what I am here for to make money.
you are talking about short term profit mate , but remember that there will be bigger risk in this matter.
Quote
Yes Bitcoin is safe but it also has limited returns compared to other altcoins.

I will take my chances with XRP - it will do a 10x in no time once it comes out they have won the case.
Good luck then mate.
