I was thinking just like that. Napoli won the title and I expected them to be off and maybe loose the game but I was sure they will show up and play super attacking football. Of course I played both to score and was super happy when Monza scored first just for Napoli to loose 2:0.

There will heaps of strange results in Serie A before the end. Perfect time for you to catch some of those 10+ odds Smiley

Yeah, I'm def looking at Serie A again these last few games. Problem is the bookies are getting wise. Next Match Day I only see 1 10+ odds... and that's Sampdoria vs Milan heh heh. But hey, Milan's been throwing games away left and right. Lost to Spezia, before that, drew with Cremonese, who're just above Sampdoria by almost nothing.

Man, I gotta stick to my guns and keep backing the top 4 NOT to win, really. Everyone seems too comfortable now in their places, even with things to fight for, both Milans probably just going to keep their backs to the wall in UCL, while Napoli is already in honeymoon mode, Monza took advantage.

3 more game rounds to go, theoretically I should still have a chance at Top 10 but it's looking farther away each round... especially if I keep backing the Top 4/5s.

Lazio saving a point in 94th minute, in a game with 10 yellow cards, seems like I missed quite a spectacle. And of course this was the one game where I decided to go for Lazio ML instead of my usual both to score. Was thinking Lazio as one of the best defenses should keep a clean sheet today. Don't forget to make picks guys I see a lot of you without picks for tomorrow.

Sampdoria will be the first team to be relegated, and it is likely that to happen tomorrow if they do not pick up 3 points.  The club's terrible financial state this year set the way for the unavoidable. The irony is that relegation to Serie B is arguably the best outcome their fans could hope for because the club also risks administrative relegation if they don't pay player salaries, taxes, registration fees, etc.  I believe they have a month or so to clear those things up, else it's Serie D.

...and while Samp's uncertain future hangs in the air, their city rivals just won Serie A promotion earlier this week:

On a not-so-important note, still hoping the Milanos pip Juve to UCL!

in a north/south derbies, Milano 2 - Rome 0, since both teams from Milano got their wins against Rome counterparties, TBH expected different outcomes, especially with Lazio, but Milan and Inter didn't think about CL matches that come ahead and deserved wins during game week

last match seeing Spezia heading for another loss, and letting Verona in for the battle, in last 15 matches in Serie A, Spezia has only one win, and it is over Inter at home, remarkable

Yeah, I thought betting against them was a good strategy but lately I think since their semifinal berths were secured, they found a way to win again, made the right picks but both far off from the results (3-2 was my prediction for both but went far away).

Atalanta-Juve a bit disappointing for me. Home team showered Old Lady with 16 attempts but couldn't score, and fell victim to Juve's traditional winning scoreline and even gifted them a last one from a counter. Any other outcome would have made my day but still plenty to watch.

Missed your bet, morvillz7z but I think the party will last long anyway, and that's still something big however you see it. Liverpool also waited 30 years, unfortunate it was Covid to keep everyone home but I think Naples parties long and hard. Well deserved.

Does seem like we can't spam them for bets anymore though.

Also, I don't think we see the same team march out next season, shame, but I hope I'm wrong.

I've locked a small bet on Napoli, i think they win the Scudetto in style (even though they only need a point) with a couple of goals. They should have done it over the weekend, but Ochoa had other plans, dude made some excellent saves. Napoli has a good record in Udine, with five wins in their last six visits. The last defeat dates back to the 15/16 season when Bruno Fernandes was still playing in Serie A. Plus, Udinese is in their annual don't give a fuck mode, too good to be in the relegation mix, and too inconsistent to attack Europe, so they coast the final few months of the season.

Hot damn...i just realized our pool has 4 players ranked inside the top 100 (global rankings). Shocked  Not sure that's happened before, at least not in the previous two editions. Big Props!
Napoli has dropped the form in worse part of the season, good thing thing they have such big cushion to fall to  Grin Will be great party in Southern parts of Italy.

All our pools on Bitcointalk are ultra competitive, I am usually doing very good on those other soft pools and world rankings and can't get over middle table positions in our pools.

Sort of a reflection of how closely I'm not following Serie A, when I saw scores and I though "oh no, why did I pick Udinese?" only to check on Superbru that I had, in fact, picked Lecce.

Great start to the week with a close score, but our resident league topper Saint-loup was the only one to guess an exact score. I'm only in 13th so it seems possible to fight for a place but it's a small pool so the gap deceives.

England and Spain aren't serving up much tomorrow but Roma Milan should be a cracker!

Really ridiculous to see stuff like this happening in the top leagues. I thought decisions like this have been well thought out before acting in the first place. And not changed depending on who is judging the situation.

Anyway new match day starts today so make your picks.

Since the case moved into the area of legal squabbles, such cases were expected. As you know, any decision of the court can be challenged in the highest instance, and then in an even higher one (as far as I know, in most countries this is the case). And what happened at the moment is also not the final decision - I read that the likelihood of punishment for Juventus is still high and it can be applied both in the summer and next year.

Yes but still ridiculous, and also you have plenty of reason in how the legal works, but here its the football association, and also in term of law, Juventus and his management are in av ery big trouble because they have in the counterpart big guys like the SEC and other big players, because they are publicly traded so they fake his balance.... they can be in jail

Man, how did this news escape me? Juventus won appeal? So we're teaching everyone again, hey it's okay. Use money and break the rules, and if you get caught, use money to overturn shit.

Shame on them, really, if this stays the same.

Anyone else spamming Inter to lose? Empoli was only 58/10 but I still took it. They already have more chances on target vs nil chances from the away team.

Juventus won appeal and got returned their 15 points. It changes situation in table a lot. Juve move to 3rd place, just 2 points behind Lazion and Milan now is out of Champions league spot. But it's not final decision, penalty still can be returned:

Tell me what scenario could more crazy right now, I can't imagine what would have happened if the 15 points reinstated for Juventus put them right above Napoli on the table or puts them just one point behind them on the table, it would have been such a drama to behold, honestly.

and we are not talking here about some small league, where something like this could happen easily
we are speaking about Calcio, with two teams in CL SF, two teams in Europa league SF and one team in Conference league SF

they are far better from EPL at this moment in European competition, and Inter/Milan are now almost out from CL competition next year, if they don't win CL, which make competition far more interesting, IMO

Damn it!  Grin

I don't think Pioli will play bench/second unit guys anytime soon, even if we reach the CL final...heck, we're only four points off of 7th place Atalanta. Conference League vibes...😭

Locked this earlier in the day, Inter 1 goal off 8.23 xG (last three), talk about underperformance, they're going to smash Empoli over the weekend. Lecce has only drawn us once in the last 20+ years at San Siro, this Milan parlay better hit.

The battle for the top spots in our pool is heating up, 1-2-3 within 2 points of each other. Might be the most competitive Serie A pool we've ever had, don't you think?  The final few rounds should be fun (and probably very stressful for some). Lol

But the rest of the teams certainly look like clowns (maybe except for Lazio). Inter have 11 (!!!) losses in 30 games, do they deserve a place in the Champions League next year? Don't even know  Cheesy

pitty for Juventus, they lost important match against Sassuolo, win would give them chance to fight for position 4, and they have -15 points
that is enough to know, and you can realize Milan and Inter play this season

Lazio was my pick from beginning, playing good, but Napoli was really dominant this season (looking at odds in the beginning, Napoli was around 10 to win title, I have played Lazio @51), so would not complain about picking that one
