Just writing some code
January 01, 2017, 12:10:45 PM
I used some times before and working like a charm. Unfortunately, today this project does not working anymore. I tried 4 or more times, I cleared the cache memory (I am using Firefox last version) but with no success. Does anybody faces same problem or is mine and something I have to do in order to fix it?

I get:

Quote
Share this estimate: https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=sdd40obj
Request Failed
This issue should be fixed now.

I added an indicator for SMAS blacklisting. If the account being priced is on the SMAS blacklist, it will be marked as so for both Normal and Merchant modes.

I have also fixed the posted address scanner so that it gets all posted addresses. Apparently it was not doing this before.

Is there any way to post the number of Wallet Addresses tallied up? I've posted 2,439 Wallet Addresses https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=6hvubrp8 and occasionally I use the list sorted alpha numerically to see if I've come across similar patterns of wallets eg starting 1BC9x 1Ui5M 1Rfyp 15yMq that sort of thing (all these were randomly generated as examples)

This is an issue on my server. It seems that it is unable to connect to Bitcointalk as the connection keeps timing out. My server may have been IP banned by the forum accidentally.

Personally love this site for everything it has helped me do, I'm kinda sad that the post quality thing was removed but I guess it was for the better.

Thanks for developing this man!

It looks like the order that addresses are posted in is kinda weird. It looks like the most recent addresses are posted at the top, then addresses are generally grouped together by month (with the months in a weird order), and the months are generally grouped by year, however sometimes there are one or two addresses that are in a seemingly wrong place.

I originally thought this might have something to do with edited posts, but I am not quite sure about this. Maybe it has something to do with when last an address was posted (even though the addresses are displayed as when an address was first posted)?
They are shown in order of most recent last post with the address. That is because the posts are read in order from most recent to oldest through the show posts page. However the date and link point to the oldest post containing the address.

It might be a good idea to designate some sections as "spam sections" (eg the ponzi section, games/rounds, off topic, possibly some of the local sections) and reduce the value of accounts when a certain percentage of posts are made in these types of sections.
I can make it such that posts in those sections are counted as bad quality posts which will affect the prices with the (now hidden) post quality multiplier.

I am tempted to suggest that you do the converse, and designate sections as "high quality" (eg development, technical support), and increase the value of accounts if they make a certain percentage of "very large" posts in these sections, however I don't want to give incentives to people to post useless crap in these sections, as they are generally free from spam now.
I think that is a bad idea for the same reasons that you said.

Yeah I saw the problem is now fixed and the site is working better like before. But there is another thing happening. When I put the UID and click on the button then immediately the UID disappear and the code appears in the search bar. Is that a problem or it is by the developer as a development in the site?
That is intentional. It redirects you to the Permalink so that you can find the estimation in your browser history.

Oh OK. I noticed that the link in my browser. It is then a brilliant development in your pricer. before that it was only the link of index in my browser and due to some reason when I tried to reload everything was not there. But now with that link change in case of any problem if we will reload the page then nothing will go to clear.

It was me and people need to have special hero accounts not just monkey accounts.  Besides, I'm done for now.  Just for the record .28 btc for a legendary account is a complete joke, this guy's algo needs to be fired.
If you think it is bad, then fix it. It is an open source project and service that I am providing to you free of charge. If you think something is broken, then you can fix it yourself.

Honestly, I don't care about the price estimation anymore so I don't care whether it is accurate or not. The site has much greater utility than just the price estimation

Indeed and I think most of the users aren't looking for the price of their accounts when they used it
Back to the start, the site was more accurate than now, i don't know if it is related only to the huge rise of the bitcoin price >2x or other factors have an effect
The accounts prices aren't similar from a seller to another even if we are talking about the same characteristics in theses accounts
So in my opinion to obtain a more accurate price better to have a fix price for every level +/- an interval (for example Jr member 0.001 +/- 0.0005)...then we need to adjust this price with BTC/USD (unfortunately)
I know achow101 that you already said that you don't care about the accuracy of the price from months but I just gave this idea if ever someone is interested

From a few minutes I am trying to check the UID of account but it do not show the result and show the message "Request Queuing failed. Please try again."
Is that problem to everyone or only me facing the problem.

.28 BTC?  Bahahahaaa.

Try 100 times that.  People were paying 10 BTC for hero accounts last year.

Really? Then buy my hero for 9 BTC. I'm ready for the deal right now.

I wasn't the one buying and I didn't wanna sell mine for only 10 BTC.

If i was to sell my account in the future i would like to be able to log it in an account sold thread.
Maybe if an account changes hands and this script can search that thread it would affect price?
That way if an account has been traded many times price should be negatively affected.

... Sure you go ahead and write up that code and I'm sure achow101 will get right on it Wink. Do you know how much work goes into finding out if one single account is sold? Now multiply that by 100,000. How would this script find out if the accounts were sold? Admins don't just give out IP information to anyone for any arbitrary reason.
