RCB blew KKR away as expected. Maxwell and ABD took the game away from them thanks to their spectacular knocks. Russell batted well after a long time until the last 2nd over where he messed up big-time.

He should have taken the singles and twos in order to decrease the pressure. Also, I have no idea why Karthik keeps getting more and more chances.

Never heard about it in cricket but it would be exciting to watch RCB,MI,CSK,SRH (as they have huge fan base) and more teams from other cricket leagues (BBL etc) touring MCG,Lords,Eden Garden,Motera, Capetown to compete.

One issue with this suggestion is the revenue distribution. For example, if RCB is touring Sydney Sixers, then the revenues will be shared between RCB and SS, with BCCI and CA losing out. Under such circumstances, the respective national boards won't be too interested in such tours. Also, the availability of national players can be a concern. Without players such as Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, the tours may not collect much revenue. And finally, there may be players who represent both the franchises.

I think BCCI-ICC should smoke pot together and then allow Mumbai Indian franchise to participate in the T-20 WC.  Wonder if they could beat everyone and become world champion too lol, well there is a good chance.  Cool

Guess Williamson is not match fit atm.

In football they have global franchise-level tournaments such as UEFA champions league, Europa Cup and the AFC champions league. The ICC tried with a similar tournament almost a decade ago, but it was a big failure. Back then, the franchises didn't had that much of fanbase. But such a tournament may become a success now, as the circumstances have changed drastically. International cricket is a joke now, with too many lopsided contests. There is a huge gap between the top 4 teams and the remaining 8 test playing nations.

Don't lose hope today. There is pattern in Chennai, game is getting slow after 10-12 overs in every game and runs are not coming easy for batters. Warner is already gone, 2 more wicket and Mumbai is fav after that.
In the current Mumbai team I see a shadow of the Australian team back in the days when Steve Waugh was their captain. Steve was a guy who never given up in any match. He always believed to win a match and until the last ball of the match he ensured that he is not losing. The Mumbai team does the same. Whatever they do, until the last ball they ensure everything to win the match and it works for them.

SRH needs a break. I think Warner needs to consider Williamson in the team. In fact to me Williamson is a better captain than him.

I can't believe that I'm not fixing any match  Grin I have won all 9 matches!!! Yesterday, I was so sure that I'm losing point for the first time but that doesn’t happen. SRH really need to work with their batsman. They lost the match against RCB in the same way and one match in last year too.

Currently, I feel that the ideal SRH team should include Warner, Williamson, Rashid, Bairstow, Saha, Pandey, Bhuvi, Natarajan, Jadhav and Sandeep. Warner or Williamson should be the captain.
I would be pretty good with Williamson IN & Warner out while having Bairstow, Rashid and Mujeeb both.

SRH messed up big-time once again. They could have easily won the last 2 matches, but they let themselves down by depending too much on newbies. All their experimenting has proven to be useless so far.

Currently, I feel that the ideal SRH team should include Warner, Williamson, Rashid, Bairstow, Saha, Pandey, Bhuvi, Natarajan, Jadhav and Sandeep. Warner or Williamson should be the captain.

They need to decrease their dependence on local talents and should focus on compiling a team full of experience like the one I suggested above.

Mumbai's Success primarily comes from their stagnant team. Ro, Pollard, Pandya Brothers, Bumrah. They have these players playing for them for ages now. More recently SKY, Kishan, De'cock, and Boult have been part of the team for 3-4 seasons now. This means 7-8 out of their 11 are almost fixed just 3-4 are rotating members. This means they don't have to find their Rhythm with the new combination every year which most of the teams have to do.

Moreover, I think Mumbai's Core Strength is its pace bowling & fielding and that comes with two big names Bumrah & Trent Boult. Most of the crucial and close matches if you remember where Mumbai won were actually won when MI was bowling. Obviously big credits to Rohit that how he manages bowling so well that even after 12 overs you will often find MI in a good situation with 3 overs of Bumrah still in hand. Those 3 extra overs of Bumrah always do the trick. He carries such a huge reputation that even the batsmen know that 2-3 overs of Bumrah are going to be silent and they try to target other bowlers and often lose wickets through this. Moreover, CSK's Jadeja and MI's Pandya Brother(and SKY too) are so good in the field that they have the capability of energizing the whole team with their energy and brilliant fielding.

Unpredictable IPL as usual. I bet on CSK primarily due to this reason though they were the underdogs against Punjab who seemed to be way stronger in all departments, but got screwed royally. However, I was surprised to see Raina and Rayudu throw away their wickets.

Advice: Temper your expectations when it comes to the IPL. Learnt this lesson a long time back myself.

Fully unpredictable IPL. I lost 4 bets in a row. KKR could have easily won the match against Mi, but they have lost. Punjab scored 221 runs in their first match. But against CSK, they scored only 106 runs in 20 overs. They lost the match and I lost the bet. In today's match too, I bet on MI. I think I will lose the bet today.

Oh my God, what a great collapse we are seeing today. CSK bowling line up which I used to think is the weakest in the league has actually burnt down the Best batting order in IPL. KXIP I felt had the best 5 players on the top and Deepak Chahar alone was enough to send all of them back to Pavillion. I don't know why KXIP always chokes in front of CSK. I remember this happening in their last season too when CSK chased the target without even losing a single wicket in front of them. Will KXIP reconsider their lower order now? Rahul, Mayank, Puran, Hooda, Universe Boss. I don't think they can add anyone better here or remove anyone here. Talking about lower-order Shahrukh Khan is still there in the middle. He has hit two sixes so far but let's see how far he can take the innings alone, I see him only as a pinch hitter, not an anchor.

^^My theory..

Last year they changed the venue and 95% game were unpredictable and same story going is in progress on this season as well, tbh this is actually good for IPL otherwise team like Mumbai and Chennai were almost unbeatable at their home turf but that's not the case this time as every team showing their vulnerability and i think this trend would continue as venue going to change again after 5 games.

Or may be, just may be we just suck at predicting haha.  Grin Tongue

Rapter and teosanru doing pretty good, royse is also doing okay. Some of us just glad that we're not at the bottom like BitcoinGirl.Club and Haunebu Grin Grin.
Guess time has come to take break from betting, if i continue to pick wrong horse in 2nd round then will stop.  Lips sealed
This is easily my worst performance in a single round among all pools so far. So many close matches recently and only one of them ended in my favour.

Yesterday's DC vs RR match was one of the wackiest matches so far. I thought DC won it after removing Miller and Tewatia, but it's not over until it's actually over. Bet on CSK today against Punjab.

Especially Chris Morris
I loved this part.  Chris Morris was clearly sending a message to Sanju Samson. Next time Sanju Samson will not send him back.

What a finishing by Chris Moris!!
I haven’t thought this could be achieved by RR as it was a bowling pitch. But the 2nd last over from Rabada was totally unexpected. This IPL have been so bad for me so far. Have lost few mBTC already  Cry

Am I leading the pool combine? It’s nice to get 2 points  Grin
I have really been impressed with KKR batting tonight; specially Nitish Rana and Tripathi. Did Rana play any t20 international from team India? I guess no. He is very consistent most times and deserves chance in team India.

Congratulations. You predicted all the three games correctly. I can see that Royse and Teosanru are also having 4 points, but they predicted only two out of the three matches correctly. Maintain the lead for another four matches, and you will be left with the reward for winning the first round!!! BTW, best of luck for today's match. I can see that we have made opposing choices for Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals.
With a narrow win by Rajasthan Royals today I can happily say that I have predicted all the matches correctly until now. Only lost one point and that too because I missed the initial match because I joined late. RR did a great job today. Especially Chris Morris, people had almost forgotten him as a pinch hitter but today he proved his huge price tag. But I think Delhi really had the best bowling lineup to defend such a total, but their execution was hopeless. I couldn't believe Rabada going for two sixes at very bad length balls. When you have the yorker in your armoury why are you even experimenting with different things? Even the last ball by Tom Curran was so lose as if it just left his hands by mistake.

Bet on DC today and looks like I might get screwed thanks to an abysmal batting performance by majority of the DC batsmen. So many batsmen fell prey to slow balls which surprised me completely.

This IPL season is turning out to be one of the most unpredictable seasons so far and this is the reason why I feel that MI won't win the cup this year.
