Is Devdutt Padikkal available for todays match? If he is included in the Royal Challengers Bangalore playing XI, then definitely it is going to be a big boost for them. On the other hand, there are rumors that RCB will also include Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson. These two being overseas players, it will be interesting to see who will be dropped. One possibility is that Kyle Jamieson and Dan Christian will be dropped. But it is going to be harsh on Jamieson who bowled well during the last match (nabbed the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav).

^^ I still don't know what happened there lol. Guess neutral venue concept turning out to be a good for IPL overall. This year team like Mumbai Indian also seems vulnerable in the Chennai and wicket there producing some fine low scoring thrillers and wankede high scorning games.

One bad news for Rajasthan Royals. Ben Stokes is ruled out from the tournament due to finger injury. He's still staying with the team tho.

Stokes was one of the crucial members of the team and his absence will devastate their middle order (although in the match against Punjab he batted as an opener). Now there is a lot of pressure on the Rajasthan middle order, which includes players such as Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia. Only Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler have enough experience in the RR batting lineup. Also his absence will be felt in bowling as well.

The Rajasthan Royals squad has fewer experienced bowlers. If Ben Stokes can't play in the upcoming matches then it is bad news for Rajasthan Royals. In the previous match, I saw that the Panjab team collected a huge run against RR. Although he did not bat well in the first match, but he is a great batsman in T20 format. If Ben Stokes is not in the squad, RR will have to face more problems to win the next matches.

Bet on KKR and chose easy win and was pretty confident after seeing MI post an average target and KKR were off to a blistering start thanks to Rana and Gill. Turned off the TV thinking that the match was over.

Checked the score later and was shocked to see MI beat KKR by 10 freaking runs and KKR had 3 wickets remaining. I feel like Karthik and Russell need to retire after this season.

Krunal bowled like crap in the first match, but he bounced back in this one. KKR need to make some serious changes if they want to get their hands on the cup this year.

LOL.. I take back my words. In the end, it was Boult who won the game for MI, in combination with Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya. I don't know what happened to Andre Russell. He completely failed with bat. If he had scored at least a run per ball, then Kolkata Knight Riders would have won the game. But he and Dinesh Karthik were just wasting balls towards the end. And also, Boult took an amazing catch (of his own bowling) to dismiss Russell. That was like the last nail in the coffin of KKR.

🤣? Mumbai Indians are going to lose today (hopefully), will that open my diary?
But but match isn’t finished yet. It seems MI is coming back into the match and it won't easier for KKR. MI still has chance to win the match.
Fun fact- Rohit is in bowling and he is injured before going for his first bowl.
What a match! Outstanding performance from MI bowlers at the end. There are a lot to take for KKR team. This should be an easy one for them but Karthik and Rus made everything harder for KKR. Rus has two life but still he was too uneasy on the pitch. Every delivery was pushing him his limit. It seemed he had his hardest 15 balls an inning. Same with Karthik too. Both played 26 balls and was able to contribute only 17 runs! This does not add up.

At some point KKR needed 22 runs from only 18 balls. Easy target for any team, but KKR found a way to ruin everything for them. Hitman an his team is back.

On the pool three of us still with same point and leading the pool LOL. Also managed to get the margin point tonight was a miracle, we all are lucky who got comfortable win for MI :-D

Hehe
MI won the match, 5 winning streak.
I didn’t bet today earlier because the odd was too low. I was able to get 2.86 for MI when KKR was in good position. It’s a huge gain at the end. Probably it’s my biggest odd in cricket lol.
Anyway, it was a very exciting match; had a great fun.

Hahaha Big lol

Don't know what to make out of this game. I lost all my hope after first 35 overs but boy o boy, they proved every one wrong in the last 5 overs.

Boult, Bumrah, Krunal are heroes for sure.

Wow! Finally we are having our first real IPL-flavored game. Samson's resistance against Punjab was commendable too but this is the type of game we watch IPL for! Bowler taking 5 wickets in just 12 deliveries but the opposition taking the game out when they just needed 31 of 30 balls with 6 wickets in hand! What just happened in Chennai, lol. My third wrong prediction in a row.

All teams have played at least a game and I still can't say if any team in particular is superior or inferior than the rest. IPL is easily the most entertaining league in the world with every team equally poised. Same can't be said for football leagues.

LOL.. this is turning out to be such an exciting match. All of a sudden, Mumbai Indians came back with some quick wickets. But for heaven's sake please keep Trent Boult away from bowling now. On previous occasions, he had completely failed to bowl under such pressure situations. Jasprit Bumrah has one over remaining and Marco Jansen has two. These two should bowl the 19th and 20th overs. Even Kieron Pollard would be fine. But please keep Trent Boult at least 30 yards away from the bowling end.

Out of 5 matches including today's one I have zero point. Did I focus on choosing the losing side instead of winners  🤣? Mumbai Indians are going to lose today (hopefully), will that open my diary? It's is obvious now that my encyclopedia of cricket is an empty hole LOL

I need tips from the guys who had 5 points. How do you do that?

I understand its tough for selectors but would be good if he gets 10-15 games without interruption. Selectors and Virat gave enough game to Rahul-Pandaya too. If not in high profile series then try with SL-Ban-WI-SA or may be against Kiwis too. He can also play as pure batsmen similar to KL Rahul. Give Rohit-Virat enough rest and try Rahul-Sanju at the top order.

Pant got so many opportunities because the slot of wicket keeper batsman was vacant at that time. He performed well and became the regular of the squad. On top of that, he got the support from Virat Kohli and damaadji. Samson doesn't enjoy the same level of support. He plays for a minor domestic side (unlike Pant, who plays for Delhi) and he couldn't make use of the limited opportunities he got so far. But right now, I don't see an opening for Samson. Pant seems to have cemented his place in the playing XI.

I'm thinking what if selectors support Sanju like they did with KL Rahul and Pandaya, i mean long rope despite his consistency drama? Would be ideal if he can produce 4-5 more innings in this IPL, then he could cement his place in the upcoming T-20 WC squad for sure.

For the wicket keeper batsman role, already KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant is there and Sanju is the third choice. And although he has performed well in the IPL, his performance in the international scene is not up to the mark. Also, a number of competitors are in reckoning, such as Ishan Kishan. So unless Samson performs exceptionally well for the remainder of this year's IPL, I don't think that the selectors will include him in the squad for the T20 World Cup.

Amazing match overall. My losing streak finally ended thanks Punjab narrowly winning this one. Samson scored more than half the runs by himself. What a player! However, I enjoyed Hooda's knock the most.

Also, I feel Samson made the right call sending back Morris since he almost scored a six on the final ball and was in much better form when compared to Morris.

Biggest takeaway from this match is that both RR and Punjab bowlers sucked big-time due to which their prospects of winning the cup this season fall sharply in my opinion.

You think Samson did the right thing? I would disagree.. he should have taken the single and given the strike to Morris. Or even tried for the second run. Bowlers were not that bad. Riley Meredith bowled an excellent 19th over, which swung the momentum back to Punjab Kings. And then Arshdeep Singh was impressive in the final over. And for Rajasthan, Chetan Sakariya was sort of a revelation (and this is the first time I am hearing about him).
His strike rate was 190+ at that time, he was set for good. On the other hand Morris only faced 4 balls and scored only 2 runs with 2 dot balls. so it was set batsman responsibility to play all the balls in the end and get his team out of the line and that's what Sanju did. He failed but he tried his best, no complain from my side.

Holy cow!! Last ball finish always a treat to watch.

This was fine game and almost perfect chase, feed bad for Sanju Samson. He batted so beautifully throughout his inning, although he did got 2 lifeline but still impressive knock. Let's see his consistency now. Don't know if denying single on 5th ball was right call or not? Some would say that Chris Morris could very well hit a boundary and that's true but at that moment Sanju was in good touch and striking the ball cleanly.

Pretty disappointing fielding so far in IPL. Players dropping sitter everywhere.
