May Bitcoin be touched by his Noodly Appendage
June 08, 2014, 06:13:20 PM
I didn't receive anything from github, gonna check why I didn't get an email alert.
Well, I'm back now! So please tell me everything that broke since I left (in this thread please, not in PMs). First of all I'll repair that.
I will reupload to greasyfork. I'm afraid that would break updates for Firefox users though. I'll see what I can do.

Welcome back and thanks a lot.

(even though I am -2 haha)
-2 doesn't mean much Wink

Yeah I changed the OP
I can't reproduce your settings problem, it seems it loads as it should here. The ticker source is ok for example.
What OS/browser?
Alright, nice nice.
Hmmm, weird. Could be me failing, but I did everything right as far as I know. Windows 7/Chrome Versie 35.0.1916.114m.
Chrome 35 on W7 works for me... I'll finish the important things before looking at that.

It might be smart to update the OP to reflect the current changes. Also, you should remove the "DiscussBitcoin" part from your script and I have the feeling that loading settings doesn't work currently/fully. I saved my current settings, removed the script, added the script again, filled in my password, pressed load settings. After that it seemed like some settings where imported and others didn't (like the Price ticker. It was set to Mt.Gox instead of BitcoinAverage).

Updating should be OK now.

You MUST update to 0.2.89+ to be sure your version will auto-update.
Now the code will be hosted on github. I guess it's a bit more reliable. I would like to host it on the BT++ server but I'd need an https licence.

how do firefox users update since userscript is dead?
Where's the link?

That's the problem: you must update by hand once.
It's here: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/btpp/raw/master/btpp.user.js

thanks

Awesome, thanks! Lets all go party in the chat Cheesy
AFAICS the party seems quite empty!

The thread ignore function isn't working on firefox anymore.
Also the rating feature isnt showing all the time.
I can't register for the rating feature too.
OS? Version of Firefox?

The rating feature now works, but it still doesn't show up all the time.
Ignore is still broken.

Win 7 professional 64 bit. FF 29.0.1
I'll check that and keep you updated.

How dare you go off and enjoy your life! Don't you know you only exist to please us now?

Welcome back!

BTW: What license are you using, just in case one of us wants to continue on with your great work when you die?
I don't know yet, I'll keep you updated once I have the time to look at that.

Welcome back JackJack!

Offtopic: I randomly decided to go to pywallet.tk (in your signature), and it displays a white page.
It works for me but I guess it's time for me to make a proper page on a server I own anyway.

Could you add/change that in the script as well? Having both options is nice Cheesy
Yeah I will add that!

Finally, I've been waiting for you to re-upload it.
For some reason the userscripts link isn't resolving... :/
Read the topic my dear friend. Userscripts died Tongue It was accessible at http://userscripts.org:8080/scripts/show/174546, but it's totally dead now.

I don't see anything about it in the topic Cheesy
Is there any alternative way I can run/access the code?
On Github: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/btpp/raw/master/btpp.user.js

What version do you have (don't ask me how to check that, because I don't know).
Top of the BT++ settings page.

But the BT++ SETTINGS* has a asterix that says it is out of date....
Not anymore. 0.2.86 is marked as the last version again. (it might take some refreshs to realize it's up-to-date)

my greasemonkey script has this in the header:

"
// ==UserScript==
// @name          BitcoinTalk++
// @version       0.2.86
"

But the BT++ SETTINGS* has a asterix that says it is out of date....
That seems to be correct, I have the same. The asterisk can be ignored, since it's incorrect. JackJack hasn't worked on it for ages. Tongue

I did set this password up and saved it in my profile.

Still I can't vote.

Where would the vote buttons even be?
-snip-
This is some weirdass behavior. The vote buttons should be next to the +5 and it should look like this:
