Need slush to take priority over all other pools including deepbit .. I just manually had to disable deepbit, because it stole from slush at 3% ... luckily, I was quick enouigh to catch slush's amazingly fast 3minute block =).
This change needs to be made to default scheduler ASAP!

Quick heads up, I think the BTCPool24 url is wrong in the stats page.  Takes you to their JSON stats (and takes forever to load).  The main site seems much quicker.

@joulesbeef you have dbit working there ? seems like it jumped before reaching 40%

@boss cat you could be having troubles with openssl, try reinstalling the package

After wrestling with linux I got it running again.
I'm getting a bunch of api errors for rfc, btcmonkey, mtred, nofeemining, ozco, bmunion, and polmine. Anyone else? I used the same config on my localhost machine but I just moved it to a vps.

moved back db to backup_latehop, and it works better than setting it to mine_deepbit, lol.
om are you one deepbit pps or prop?

cause that makes zero sense.

you know backup_latehop tries to go to the back up with the most shares right? which is the exact opposite strat you want with hopping props.

So, Im curious, since deepbit will be mined a majority of the time w/ BH...what is the importance of the other pools? Should, we stick w/ mining deepbit even when another pool got a fresh round? Or should we slice between all eligible pools? hrm.....

Im confused....dont we need more pools set to info to be able to tell who requested the first LP?

I have nearly all pools set to info, currently mine: triplemining, rcfpool, ozco, mtred, bitcoinpool, bitcoinmonkey, slush (mine_slush), deepbit (mine_deepbit) and BTCguild (mine_deepbit)

I am using bitpit as my backup

All other pools w/ valid stats (afaik) are set to info.

@gentarkin / HOW DOES IT WORK
We assume if the LP response from deepbit is first then deepbit owns it. We actually reset the owner to take into account if another pool drops but currently we don't reset deepbits starts due to that.

It looks like efficiency is good. Parai got about 168% and magnet got about 559% efficiency. I just did the calculations for you guys.

EDIT:However I haven't actually gotten my server to mine on deepbit. Only my dev machine. So there may still be errors.

But, I hardly ever see the "owned by" stat in the window = deepbit. Its usually someone else. But it still switches to mine deepbit in that case anyways.

This seems to work Tongue

09.08 20:19:29 0h 03m   144 270595   0.02580979
09.08 20:15:55 0h 01m   64 125063   0.02481949
09.08 20:14:11 0h 07m   288 608030   0.02297255

I now put Deepbit on Penalty 2.5 with Threshold 60, so it stops mining at 25% and see what it does for the same roundlengths...

here too  Wink

lots of questions today... bH philosophy: trust me and I will repay you

So, I got a question...are we just assuming when a LP is thrown...deepbit owns it and we are hopping to it regardless(cuz they are so huge)? Cuz it seems w/ every LP event, it mines deepbit.

that seems more than high to me.. we are only sending small strings of text back and forth.. even blocks are normally in the kb range.

chek to see if you got a virus.. make sure wifi is secure

I am going to monitor the miner and hopper and see what I come up with.. but there is no way it is that much i wouldnt think.
I'm on linux, there is not possible a virus
I think the miner really sends only small strings (I have had it running last month without bithopper and the end of my limit/month was 3 days before the month) but I think the constantly monitoring of the pool stats makes much traffic (my speculation)
As first step I have now connected my 2. PC to this (the main) PC's bithopper.
- but if there is some problems or rebooting necessary the connection to this PC is over because it has a new ip!
The second PC has no Monitor and I have always to plug the cables from one to another  Angry
Therefore I am looking for a working solution.
I have tried with vnc, but there is the ip problem after rebooting and it is very slow.
Has anybody eperience with nomachine nx server?
http://www.nomachine.com/download.php
I have tried it, but was not able to establish a connection with ssl and have not found much help on the net...
I'm very glad to hear from you how much traffic you have and how it is possible to decrease it  Smiley
TIA

so you could have generated a bit more traffic remote controlling the bH machine with VNC type software ?

you can use no-ip services and their dns auto-updating client for linux to solve the dynamic ip issue
try using "screen" over ssh shell to remote control linux without headaches

These are my most recent deepbit stats:

Block   Shares
Time/Link   Found in   Your   Total   Reward
09.08 10:19:29   0h 03m    25   270595     0.00448087
09.08 10:15:55   0h 01m    7   125063     0.00271463
09.08 10:14:11   0h 07m    0   608030     None
09.08 10:06:16   0h 44m    76   3392096     0.00108664
09.08 09:21:52   0h 20m    0   1586080     None

Oh, and it seems because deepbit doesnt use slicing method on default slicer... Because of this the fresh block on slush was skipped entirely... =/ I dont know if this is the desired behaviour, just some feedback!
