Nope.

I have previously repaired my Antminers in the only official place that deals with out-of-warranty repairs.
It is BitmainWarranty / Myrig.com , located in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Note: this is not Bitmain company, but a separate company.

I would ask them about the paid repair service for the R4.

https://bitmainwarranty.com/
https://bitmainwarranty.com/contact/
https://myrig.com/

So they/he are/is the same people/man?

Yes, they are the same one company.

Myrig.com is just a new brand they have.

Interesting on the top board thing...  I've been running my R4 vertically since day one with no issues so far (knock on wood, fingers crossed, etc...)

Damn!
Now it was my turn to loose the upper board =(
It doesn't light up the red led on the board =(
Tried to change control cables but didn't help.
Is this one doomed forever?

EDIT: Tried the IP report trick too...

Is it me, or is it always the top board that goes on these things?

Bitmain has said they will not manufacture anymore R4's.  Too bad, I really like the one good one I got!

Bitcoin FTW!
Will there be new R4s for sale?
Probably not. The R4s were plagued with issues and they likely didn’t sell as well as the T9/S9 models. Bitmain have stopped selling them for quite some time and they probably won’t be bringing anything like it back.

No zuo no die why you try, u zuo u die dont be shy
Worked like a charm! Much appreciated.

And what's better was it seemed to "overclock" my rig which was 7.5TH at stock to 8.5TH/s now Grin

My R4 stopped working today. Currently if I power it on, I will see its Ethernet LED in solid yellow with blinking green. Miner does not appear on router table. Has anyone encountered similar experience with R4 or other Antminer models?

Thanks.

I had exactly the same problem and the IP report button reset method helped me to fix it.  Smiley

Well, this is an interesting find and I thought I'll share it with you. Smiley

I had a problem booting my Antminer R4 8.0 Th/s, batch 2, autotune-model.

So I went looking in here:
Bitmain.com: Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9)
https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957

I used the last option in the list, IP Reporter button restore.
Quote from: Bitmain
Usage: Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner.
Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings.

My miner restored with firmware Aug. 9 2016 and autotune settings were gone.
I am now suddenly able to control frequency and custom fan settings.  Cheesy

This was not my original problem, but I'm happy with it.
My original problem was that the miner jammed somehow in the booting process and didn't even show up in my router ip list.

I just have to ask.  Is the APW5 that they are talking about here the same one that they have had for awhile?  Because if it's the same as the one I have then it is far from silent.

APW5 is a different psu series than the APW3.

Are you talking about the APW3 series?
Here is the forum thread for the original APW3 psu https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitmain-antminer-apw3-12-1600-psu-series-1060439

Does anyone has R4 antminer's firmware without autotune?, i already tried the ip report reset method but still stuck with latest firmware, i remember my miners came with manual freq from factory, but i upgraded (my bad) to the last firmware and problems started.

If anyone could be so kind to share those firmware i'm sure many R4 owners like me will be pleased.

So we're now way past the date my replacement S9 should have been shipped for the crappy R4 that I shipped back to BiteMe twice on my dime.  They promised it would be shipped in October, so I've been politely asking where it is, where is any update, and it's been TOTAL SILENCE.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the last straw. Bad enough you can't buy a BTC miner with BTC, now they're just ignoring their own warranty promises.

Keep shoveling your money to these jackasses!  They SO deserve it!!  Tongue

Maybe it is a quality issue, I dunno. What I do now know is:

The original Factory Firmware defaults to 600 frequency. Later autotune Firmware runs at 560-ish.

My connectors died within a week of resetting to factory, thus unknowingly running @600. Previously had been running fine for c. 12months.

In short - the connectors in mine pretty definitely died as a result of the factory reset which upped the frequency.

If anyone else does use the factory reset option, I'd suggest manually underclocking immediately, unless upgrading burned connectors is your jam...
