Hey guys i got an offer to buy d3 for 1623 with  14 days delivery do you think i get roi?
By my own calculations, the current earnings, before expenses, is 86$/day. Do your math.
This is by doing the math on the block chain and not by using online calculators.

Earnings are closer to $30 per day by my calculations.

generalt is correct, earnings are very low compared to the ones we used when we first bought these. GPU mining profitability isn't that bad in comparison despite slightly more upfront cost. I can't imagine how low it's going to be in November at this point expect not to break even on electric.

You're either a time-traveller from the distant past or you mis-configured some vlaues on the profit-calculators online.
In the first release-days you could have that (and more) but these days have passed.

What he said.  $30/day is current earnings/day.  It bounces between about $27 and $35 USD.

Make sure you use escrow.  Scammers are abundant here.

If this continues dash should change its mining rewards. ~40 % block rewards go to miners, that's not enough and with a block halving in two years or so I'd hate to think what profits will be then unless dash skyrockets. Dash devs and master nodes get paid too well..

that won't change the dev of dashcoin likely holds half the coins and i heard he has half the nodes....they won't change imho.

(should probably research this ..what I was told anyway about dash)

That 10% dash budget is huge, every month they rake in millions to spend on salaries of a few employees and in developing dash. Only 30% of that goes to dash core. They are self funding unlike other coins. They won't change true just saying it would be nice if they did. Anything can change even if it has to fork. It's happened before.

Anyone knows where to find information about expected payout for finding a block, block time and other metrics needed to calculate dash expected mining earnigs based on hash rate ?

I would like to verify the numbers that online calculators give.

i ordered 2 d3 november 20-30 batch each costs 1800$
iam little bit worried that i cant get my roi 3600$
but i have free electricity what do you guys think about it?
In early December you will be making $15.00 - $20.00 per day. You'll be fine. Not the Money river so many were looking for but that was never real anyway unless you got the first ones. The only people who are gonna get Digitally raped by big square ASIC, are the morons that bought from resellers.
That's for both miners in total and considering the free electrocity Smiley

and the one other thing that remains unknown is dash price  Grin
i already ordered so whats done is done i only hope that d3 units wont have any error

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
By the way, at the product page there is Antminer L3+ in the picture when you download it and look it closely.
I guess they don't have a prototype for the D3 yet or they just haven't took a picture of it yet.
Why are you spam posting my old post?

Don't deny it, I remember what I wrote.

After 5 days of D3 mining, I noticed that sometimes one of boards just turn of (this happens on different D3 devices, not just one), temperatures are ok, boards temps are max 70-71-72-73C. After

If they are really that temp in C, they have probably melted into a puddle!

M

my boards run as hot at 81c O_O I have the same issue where every couple days the 3rd board will kick off and I have to restart the miner, it's happened twice now

Is that really possible??

Maybe I'm behind times.

Your temps are too high. I found that the D3 has more HW errors running 70c+ and a card will stop hashing then miner has to be reset. To fix this problem I down clocked to 456m and fan at 70% results where 16000 mhs average almost 0 errors and stable hashing no resets needed anymore. I also found you can set miner to 80% fan speed and miner will stay cooler ,but loud. Factory default fan speed control sucks. see below

Factory settings: Frequency (default gh/s 17000) Fan speed: changes depending on temp (not great)

Optimal settings: Frequency (default gh/s 17000) Fan speed: 100% Miner runs cooler ,but very very loud

Medium  Settings: Frequency (default gh/s 17000) Fan speed: 80%  Miner runs cooler and somewhat loud less errors cooler temp.

Low     Settings: Frequency (456M    gh/s 16000) Fan speed: 70%  not too noisy very stable.

But you void your warranty as you are touching the frequency...

It seems that the airflow inside the asic is not balanced optimum. Board 1 is lowest temp and 3 highest temp. Maybe it helps keeping the side of hashboard 3 at the most coolest side of the rack. Or turn the asic on its side so hashboard 3 is below (at own risk offcourse).
