It's also astounding how many D3s have been sold. And the current batch is still for sale at $1450 USD.
And that dude who was asking for 3000 something for early Nov batch? eastshore has them at $1999.

I've been doing a lot of reading/browsing recently, and lots of people says eastshore is legit.
The question is, who thinks they'll recoup that $549 before the end of Nov batch ships from Bitmain?
This is a fun one to watch. I'm glad I don't have the BTC to gamble on this. I think I'd lose.

Do yourself a favor: Go to support.bitmain.com and read any of the payment threads.
In the entire several years Bitmain previously existed, those threads had maybe two pages of orders with problems. Many of which seem to get resolved.
In the last two months, all of them now have at least half a dozen new pages all full of the same thing: "Bitmain took my money, won't confirm my order as paid, did not ship product".
That's exactly what happened to me.
Also, watch out for Bitmain employees paid to post on this forum and elsewhere talking about how trustworthy they are. Astro-turf is cheap in China.
greyworld, really sorry to hear about your troubles. Do you know that Bitmain intends to go public soon? Since reputation is very important for a successful IPO, it makes no sense for Bitmain to scam here and there on some orders. They will be losing money on their public offering many times more if they scam you for 1 or 2 bitcoins. Are you absolutely sure that you paid Bitmain and paid on its official site? There are a lot of scammers that use nearly identical addresses.
If you placed an order on Bitmain site, then you should immediately get an email asking for an exact payment amount. The email should be only from [email protected]
If it is from someone else, it is a scam.
If you placed your order on Bitmain and you have proof of payment, then no worries - you will get your miner and will profit many times more. Check your order history on Bitmain, and open a support ticket with the transaction ID from bitcoin blockchain. I hope this helps you. If not, reply, and we all will figure out how to help you.

Bitmain has jumped the shark. Maybe they used to be a reputable company but now they're just outright crooks. They take your money, do not ship product, and then alternate between ignoring you entirely and spamming you to buy other products from them.
You can try to buy a D3 on their site now, but they'll probably just take your money and laugh knowing you won't come to China to do anything about it..

was placing an order today,after I read here that it was sold like no stop 18,000 units- the diff will go to the moon.
there is other coins that can be mined with this x11 or you must work with vitamin pool which is just dash mining.
or any coins that use x11 can be mined with this machine.
sorry for the stupid question I'm just only in the gpu mining world.
its make sense that I can use this miner in any pool and any currency with x11 also,but how you do it if its not a computer

U can mine every X11 algo with D3, u manage D3 on php with IP on your subnet.
On past, some builder release firmware upgrade that let you mine other algo, future gona give us answer

There's plenty of supply on the Bitmain website. This batch of D3 is taking a long time to sell out.
Tough call without seeing network effects. 1st couple batches will be decent, next couple are up in the air. Its the x11 nuclear rise people are worried about

if there are genuine 18k units coming online the end of November, doesn't that mean we will have a HUGE increase in ROI?
No 18k units add almost 270 Th/s x11 to the network raising the network difficulty so what ends up happening is more miners are competing for the same piece of x11 coins reducing everyones profit only way you can ROI faster is if price of the coin increase is faster than network difficulty than the $ reward is Higher.

Only a jump in dash price worth to buy D3 for november and at this point if u believe in DASH and want to get some profit, just buy some right now and wait jump price. Buy dash for cost of D3, wait November and check DASH price for sell or keep. If dash up u alrdy win more them wath D3 bring to you, if DASH lower price, u gona loose less.
My next ASIC buy will be with new generation ASIC, or maybe SIA asic.
