Well...not as bad as it could be....(or has been) Sad

Price of Dash mined today by a 17.5gh Bitmain X11 miner at 1100 electric and 12c kwh is:

$6.10/day (not as bad as it has been)

Still, the only way my ego can survive the 2 D3's I have (ave speed 35gh) is by adding my May 2017 300 Baikal cube.....with that making around 2k over cost

I 'might' just crawl my way out to ROI (w/o counting electric..that is a loss)

IN other words, all of my X11 units as an experiment and ego protection......(bitmain not really pulling its load in that senario thou)

hey.....its all about ego protection at this point

Have not done the math, but not even sure if DASH were to double, using math, and electric, I could talk my way out of this ROI hole anyway...

Try to lower the freq and reboot your miner. I hope its works
Try to downgrade your firmware, i have notice that Nov firmware is not as good as previous one (sept/august)

I fixed that issue by resetting the machine by pressing the reset button, only inconvenience is that it resets the settings, but it does fix it as I think it loads the old firmware on it.

I seem to have another issue on the original firmware where after a little bit of time the chips will go to XXXX, but not all of them. (there is a o between some of the x's)

I cut my losses with my D3's - sold for a 50% loss, found out about a new coin just launched called Phore gone all in, great project, even better community, they just burned 40%+ too, maybe worth a look if anybody else is thinking of a different tactic to ROI price of D3's!

One of my hashboard's chip temp varies between 20-30 or 110-120 after restart and never normalizes. Either it's randomly very low or very high. Pcb temp is normal though. Faulty sensor?

I would like it if they can achive what they say, but as much as I know, ASIC is hardcoded chipset.

it's not hardcoded, there is another kind of problem tho, trying to do other algos with asic miner is same thing as u try to pick up something with your leg instead of hand

basically if they even manage to get other algos work on D3 it wont be as efficient.

purely speculation but if they manage to do it they will be lucky to get even 150mh instead of 15gh on other algos and that depends on algo too it may wary algo to algo, expect lower speeds. it just not worth a sweat

hands are designed to pick up things and legs designed to walk basically to do specific tasks, same goes to asics D3 designed to work on x11 and s9 designed to work sha-256
