Dash price dropped from $1200 to below $600 just within last month  Cry    With current difficulty of 124 mln, and 10 cents/kW cost, mining becomes unprofitable  Cry Undecided

Well stop mining dash directly and start looking for alternatives. Multipools are hot now. I'm currently on d3pool.eu (most profitable 24 hour atm.)

Clueless!
Seems Bitmain's monopoly comes to an end  Cheesy Cheesy

Well known Mining Conglomerates, Bitmain and Canaan Creative, are about to be given a run for their money as Samsung has announced it will join in the mining game.

Yesterday Samsung confirmed that it will begin manufacturing ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Chips) chips which will be used in cryptocurrency mining specific equipment.

I read somewhere that samsung was making chips also for baikal....just saying.....

Diff is 130M now  Huh,  and profit is NEGATIVE  Cry

We can be saved by only market increase.

not that bad with free electricity Smiley

Oh, average people are not connected to free electricity.   Sad

By the way, difficulty has decreased a little , so it is still worth to mine, but ROI is not on the horizont  Roll Eyes

Hello everyone, friends, I am new to this market and I found a situation that caught my attention, I found in a currency exchange a price is very low but its volume is 2 billion and big players with 20, 30, 40 , 50 bitcoins are on the bench. The logic with little variation in earnings will be great, the problem that this currency is stable for a few days does not change its price.

Does anyone have any opinion on this situation?

always calculate average difficulty not current one
Yeah, currently it's around 70mln.  Seems I looked into it during the night .

Indeed, if you look into average chart it looks more promising, though not good  Smiley

Say goodbye for DASH for time being except you want to hold (speculate) DASH until its rise again and you have to cover your electricity expenses first

my Beans can beat your Beans in a fight
I sold mine, got 200,000 Bitbeans, price went up and been sprouting them, got my ROI. life is great...

I had no idea what you were talking about so I checked this bean thing out.

I am happy for you that it works, but the website of bean team is already a reason for me to immediately forget it, let alone put money in it. How can you expect to build a community and trust in your project with such a shitty website?

I can't help but laugh when I see that funny looking bean thing on the website  Cheesy Cheesy

you know BeanMan is cute, he is a good way to introduce children into crypto, Bean is family-oriented

Clueless!
curious to know if a 4th chain can be connected to the D3 since there is a 4th socket on the controller board.
The S9 only got 3 sockets.

Well, looks like I have maybe another month mining these 2 D3's. Between the 2 of them I get 35gh at 10c kWh usd @2400 watts at the wall at 220 volts.

or $5.10 a day after electric.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/dash?HashingPower=35&HashingUnit=GH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=2400&CostPerkWh=0.10&MiningPoolFee=0

does not bode well, even if I bring them back home from the data hall and use as a basement space heater this rest of winter.

alas!

mate dont use cryptocompare calculator it's worst calculator, it says you mine 0.013 dash per day dash price is aroud 800 so 0.013*800=10 usd per day Smiley not 5

the calc likely is, as you say NOT correct, but I only mine 0.009 dash per day! 0.009x 800 is 7.20 usd ..but no way do I mine over 0.013 per day!

them days are gone....

what is a more LEGIT calculator? (more or less)

i usually use coinwarz calculator u can add difficulty by yourself there and also i check average block difficulty for 24 hours so i have a clue what number i should add it to it. this way i have some kind of clue how much i make per day it's usually -7% to -8% difference from that calc

i usually make around 0.008 dash per day with my D3 only 1

never really could figure that one out......i understand the add your own difficulty rate..just never have a clue...so I just use the snapshot method or KISS principle....

on a calc...but I guess the calc I picked sucked for that purpose..

not sure how you are getting 0.008 dash per day..I'm getting 0.009 per day for 2 das miners at 35gh?

I messed up my calcs ..(to be fair....I will never ROI on the 2 D3's but with all my x11's (counting the 300 Baikal cube..I will, however, ROI on X11 machines on a WHOLE ..it

is all in how you frame your decisions for the old 'ego') Smiley

So anyway, looking at ALL x11 machines (2 D3's and the 300 cube baikal since MAY 2017) and seeing I squeaked by 'barely' with ROI and still making more than I'm using

with electric for the 2 D3's kinda ignored stuff.....so MISSED the fact I'm getting TWO payments of DASH per day...so I"m really getting 0.018 dash per day for about

(at today's price of $780.50 Dash or at 0.018 dash per day that is = to $14.05 per day which is much better than the $7.03 (before electric) I previously thought with my 'wrong to use'

dash calculator pointed out and my plain mistake.

Sorry, for the confusion..nice to see I'm wrong for once in the correct direction  $14.05 per day (before electric) is considerably different than the $7.02 I thought I was getting!

So, anyway, duh.....looks like I can still run these for a couple more months...sometimes it is 'good' to be clueless...(if you catch it)

sorry for the confusion..thanks for the help in pointing out a better calculator and that forced me to re-look at my 'assumptions'
