Forget-about-it
Bter has a notice at the top of their BTC/PTS page that they will be honoring the upgrade and to make sure to send coins in by 13th the latest to be sure they are confirmed before the snapshot. with the network being so slow who knows how long..
I did confirm with the Poloniex mod Oldmankidd that deposits of PTS to poloniex only take 3 confirms, and Bter only requires 2.

Goodluck all!

Are other exchanges on-board, especially Bter and BTC38?

Poloniex is onboard.  We will honor the Dec 14 PTS snapshot.

Can someone explain how the price pegging works making a stable price?

To get the gist of it try these analogies, http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares/Market_Peg#Analogies

Hey all

Have not followed PTS or BitsharesX happenings since last year.  I have some PTS, but what exactly do I have?  Does each PTS hold more value than just the going rate on the exchanges? Does it somehow entitle me to shares of DACs? If so, how/where do I view these holdings?

Thanks in advance for any info

You can check what you have at http://www1.agsexplorer.com (at balance menu enter your PTS address).
To redeem your BitShares BTSX read info here: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares-x-how-to
To redeem your LottoShares LTS read instruction here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lottoshares-dice-0-edge-80lts-airdrop-to-all-doge-owners-694341

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if I actually have to do anything at this time. I have a wallet called 'BitShares-PTS' with PTS in it. When I plug the address into agsexplorer.com I see a green highlighted entry of 0 AGS, and a number of blue entries for what seem to be other coins. The only one I recognise is Lottoshares (LTS), the others are BTSX, VOTE, DNS and NOTE. If I understand correctly all of these are going to be converted to a new thing called 'BTS'. The newsletter says "The hard fork from BTSX to BTS will happen later in the month. This will require nothing but a normal wallet update." So how do Angelshares come into this?

I note that the PTS snapshot was a few days ago, so what can I do with my PTS now? Also I note that Lottoshares development is dead, so can I do anything with them?

Do I just wait for the new BTS wallet to be released, or do I have to do the redeeming of BTSX (do I have any?) and LTS first?

Is there a really simple guide anywhere?

Is this coin still minible? non of the pools are working?Huh

YPool still works.  Your a little late to the party and all the dev's attention is being placed on BitShares.
