Recenetly I created a Bittrex exchange account and began doing trading there.

Now that I want to do withdrawals, I have prompt saying that I need to wait 24 hours due to limits and asking me to verified. Is this how Bittrex works? In other exchanges there is a thing called Level 1 stage where people can withdraw even they are not verified as long as not reaching the limit.

The amount involved is only around $40 so I don't get it why they have restriction for that kind of amount. Thanks for those who will respond.

I will based on the word "recently". I don't know when it was started in Bittrex (ok the date was given above by one of the posters) but you need to verified at least the Basic Verification and submit your phone number (also confirmed it) before you will get rid of that withdrawal error. Believe me, it will now work and you don't need to submit any documents for this or enable 2FA.

IMPORTANT THING: If you will do enhanced verification in the future, you must fill up your basic verification the same with the information on the ID's you will provided in the future.

Ok so I created the account on March 2016 and hence I've never faced this issue. It's weird that they are letting a user withdraw just 0.025 BTC with the fee still renaming the same while other exchanges have no such restrictions such as liqui. I never knew about that article as well. To verify an account with an exchange when you can't even use it for bank withdrawals is highly risky. I have verified my accounts with PayPal and Payza earlier as they allow bank withdrawals. What's the point of bittrex asking this?
After lots of withdrawal issues in polo many traders might have migrated towards bittrex and they are also registered trading platform so they are now implementing strict KYC policy to not get into any legal problem later on due to insane number of new migrated users in their platform.

It is kinda weird but as a regulated and centralized exchange platform they don't have any choice. This is why we need decentralized trading platform as soon as possible.

As it has been said these changes were set up due to their lack of security previously, as you can read on their website

Due to the large number of leaked username and password databases, we are making changes to withdrawals to limit the damage of unauthorized access to your account.

Nowhere they are relating these last changes with something about KYC

I don't know if that apply only on new accounts, because I still can withdraw any amount without verification. I can't see the limit you are talking about.

You can check the limits that apply to your account on the "settings" page. Then you are redirected to your account informations. Check between "margin trading" and "user activity" you can see "daily withdrawal limit" and a link redirecting you to a page explaining how you can increase your limit. You can't miss it

New bittrex rules are fucked up to shits. Not only they dont allow withdrawals for unverified accounts but also they added wire transfers and this fucking tether being nothing else but a fractional reserve fart token. Who on earth in their right mind would agree to submit a new request each time they need to deposit fiat? Their psa starts like this: "If you have an account created after October 30th, 2016". What if I have accounts created during 2014-2015, what limits will I have then? They say they are KYC compliant now. Why they chose this exact number - 100 btc / daily for max tier accounts. Tier1 gets u 3 btc while the enhanced tier lifts this figure 33 fold. Bittrex is a honeypot at its finest. If u trade there u ask for trouble.

Where do you guys check the limit? I have made couple of withdrawal in the beginning of this month and the amount was thousands of dollars worth in altcoin, it went smooth and without any issue. Yes I have the 2FA activated. It says DAILY WITHDRAWAL LIMIT  1337 BTC (not sure if this is true)

Please read this info:
If your password has been changed, you cannot make a withdrawal for 24 hours
If your account does not have 2FA, you are limited to withdrawing up to 1 BTC (or equivalent) per day
If you have an account created after October 30th, 2016, your withdrawal limits are:
Unverified Accounts created before 08/01/17: 0.025 BTC (or equivalent) per day
Unverified Accounts created on or after 08/01/17: 0 BTC (or equivalent) per day
Basic Accounts: 3 BTC (or equivalent) per day with two-factor enabled.
Enhanced Accounts: 100 (or equivalent) BTC per day with two-factor enabled

If you don't want enable 2FA?
Can you withdraw with basic accounts without 2FA? (new account)

You just have to withdraw slowly thats what im doing right now. The 0.025 limit is pretty crazy low though.  They went from a withdraw limit of nothing, to 1btc, then right down from 1btc to 0.025 within 1 month.  It makes it very hard to trade there right now, if they could up the limit to 0.25 would be a big difference.

The US government sticking its dirty fingers in every pie will do that. After the darknet market takedowns and the BTC-e seizure, exchanges are scrambling to cover themselves from an AML/KYC standpoint. I just hope that people are able to get their money out. Apparently if they can't verify you through public records, you need to do their enhanced verification -- sending documents, etc.

I wouldn't send sensitive documents to unregulated or unlicensed exchangers. Proper exchangers have state of the art privacy and information protection systems in place. Others... well, let's just say you need to be nervous every time you go through passport control at borders and airports. You never know what the immigration officer might see on the computer's screen. If your passport is misused and flagged for criminal activity by Interpol, it will take a lifetime of stress and mental pain to rebuild your life.

What's stopping their document verifiers from selling your documents to people with nefarious intentions? If your docs end up being misused, proving and linking the exchanger to the misuse is difficult. You will be left on your own to defend yourself and this is not easy in a world where bitcoin is often seen as the currency of criminals.

So i guess bittrex is tightening up on their AML/KYC. Their rules are quite confusing imo, because i've actually withdrawn much more than what they said on their site they would allow per day. See here for their guidlines for withdrawal limits and verification: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/231701788-Verification-Withdraw-Limits-and-Troubleshooting

Maybe your account was new because they seem to not allow withdrawals at all for newer accounts until they get verified. This is quite shit in my opinion.

I had no idea the limits were this low. I was considering setting up Bittrex account for throwing small amounts at low market cap altcoins. Given that I apparently can't withdraw anything without verification... what is the first tier of verification? Do you need to submit documents to be able to withdraw anything at all?

Given the timing of these changes on Bittrex, the new terms on Poloniex and Bitfinex pulling out of the US market, it's pretty clear that unlicensed exchanges are scrambling to cover their asses after BTC-e got taken down...

DO NOT send any documents to unlicensed exchangers.  who are the people who are verifying your documents? are you sure they won't sell your documents on the black market? Smiley   where do they store your IDs?

That's my primary concern. It feels shitty enough sending my confidential personal info and ID to Coinbase or Gemini, because I don't really trust them to store the data properly. So I especially don't want to send them to unregulated exchanges.

a licensed exchanger have strict rules imposed by the law. they are verified from time to time by authorities.  Poloniex, Kraken, Bitfinex, Bittrex  and many others are illegal companies which can be seized anytime.

I understand the risks and they are factored into the decision. Sending ID, utility bill and personal info that could be used to steal my identity is crossing the line with these types of businesses. Risking a small amount when the exchange could disappear or get seized is of less concern to me.

No, from what I understand you need to enable 2FA to start, but after this, I don't know what limit you will get.
My account (created before their new rule) has a limit of 0.025BTC daily and I have never give any document, phone, etc. S I guess once you enable 2FA this is what you get.

Funny thing is when you read their support.bittrex.com talking about this, they start with:
"Due to the large number of leaked username and password databases, we are making changes ..."

Bittrex isn't the same as it used to be back in the days. The entire crypto industry has evolved into something much more serious now. As newbie, you won't be allowed to trade/withdraw anything. If you walk yourself through the basic verification level, you'll be able to trade and withdraw crypto currencies only. Max withdrawal limit is 3BTC. The highest level of verification allows you to start trading fiat, and your withdrawal limit gets lifted to 100BTC per day. The downside of this is that you are required to send in high res documents and a picture of your face. Bye bye privacy.

I've had a bittrex account since early last year and have never encountered this problem. But it seems to me that in recent days a lot of users are encountering it.

Or have you changed your password recently or disabled 2fa? If that's the case that might be the problem.

Either way, try submitting your docs or if you are not willing to just leave the coins in there. It's not a big amount anyways.
