If the reputation is broken then nothing to came back since this is serious matter but in the case of bitvest or lightlord they can fix this up his problem here is all about the delay of campaign payments. He can hire people to do the job like monitoring the funds of thus platform and also in marketing to avoid issues, but also I think they have problem with capital since maybe the cause of that delays is they are not earning big the same as before that's why they decide to leave and let their platform operates without having any marketing. All are only assumptions and only lightlord knows the exact answer why they decide to became inactive here.
It all seems like BitVest is, or at least was, just some side project for LL and not his primary focus. That would explain neglecting campaign participants and customers.
But then again, people are different. Some just have a poor work ethic and/or poor communication skills. And some fall into depression or just procrastination and can't force themselves to do what needs to be done.
Either way, it's not like LL's, and the site's reputation is very low. They could still get active on bitcointalk, do things right and improve trust.
