Did this coin have a pre-mine or ICO?

No premine or ICO, it was launched and I mined like everyone else

How long was the PoW mining period?

It started out as an X11 PoW coin, block 1 was generated on 1st March 2015 and the last PoW block was 100,000 on 3rd April 2015. So about 1 month

This all checks out on the block explorer.

The white paper is pretty nice.

This forum is too toxic. People enjoy ctitisizing and bashing others... That's partly the reason no one wants to list his identity here: even though I have nothing to hide, I don't want idiots to play with my name and post bullshit using my personal details. So I understand you very well, Bitz Dev.

For the others I would like to mention that this Dev is more legit than 98% of all the devs on BCT, even without doing POD.
I've read enough of his posts here on the thread to analyse his behaviour and come to this conclusion. Didn't read his posts on other threads (don't have enough time), but don't think he is much different there. You can see a real person, with his strengths and weaknesses, unlike some Devs who play superhero, so you never know what game they will play next... And yes I mean one specific dev whom all of recent FUD-ers of this thread seem to worship Smiley

This Dev is one of those guys that goes around and post SHIT on other threads -- i would be happy to post it here from the many other coins he bashes---

The BITZ Dev has zero class and is a troll-- if you want to have a respectable coin stop fucking with other coins

Ok, so I don't mind a factual discussion bensam12345 (if you feel the need to swear, go ahead, we are free to express ourselves here). This is a list of coins that I may have posted negative comments about (or coins that I bash as you so eloquently put it). I got nothing to hide:

Coins I believe to be a Scam (I might be proved wrong, we'll see):
BitStone [BST] - dev abandoned project before ICO ends.
CryptoCircuits [CIRC] - ICO ongoing, wait and see what happens.
Browncoin - where are they and what happened. Abandoned.
QOINTUM - Where are they now? Abandoned.
Alliance Tokens (12 week trading course) - Abandoned.
Twelve [TWLV] - Not online since 7th June - 3500 Sats. ICO - now 27 Sats. - Where are they now?
StealthCash [STX] - Not online since 30th May - 7000 Sats. ICO - now 124 Sats. - where are they now?
Browse [BRO] - Not online since 13th May - where are they now?
HazmatCoin [HZT] - Not online since 27th April. Where are they now?
256 Coin [256] - dev not online since 25th March. Where are they now?

I am critical to the following (if i am wrong then I'll admit it, I'll check again in 6 months time):
Sphere [SPHR] - I posted one question re. the value of a video. No trolling.
Arbit [ARB] - I posted one question re. the value of a video. No trolling.
ParkByte [PKB] - I posted a question around the tech. promised by the coin. No trolling.
Gambit [GAM] - I am critical to this one, although it’s still going. I question the motive of the dev. No trolling.

With XDECoin [XDE] - I posted some comments as I got tired of endless updates and forks. I never suggested that this was a scam.

On the other hand, I fully support a range of other cryptos, like BitcoinDark, Orbit, Clams, Neutron, Diamond, Opal, Florincoin, Boolberry, Dash, Unobtainium, Noblecoin, Potcoin, DNotes, Vericoin, Fibre, Kobocoin, Reddcoin and the list goes on. All of these and others are genuine cryptos as opposed to the ones in the list above. Do you see the difference?

And, maybe you are right, I should just stay on this thread, but I sometimes feel I have to make people aware, maybe yourself. Did you invest in any of the coins above from the scam list? I hope not....

I see you are continuing to make false claims about BitStone - I want to comment on how you like to mislead people and make accusations that are unfounded.

1- The Founder (me) did not abandon the project, it was put on hold for a variety of reasons. The assumption that you made above about it being abandon is incorrect - but the tactic you used to make it look like you were justified is common.

2- Cutting and pasting quotes from other Threads without any evidence in an Unmoderated thread was nothing more than an attempt at character assassination - And correct me if I am wrong, but Topix does not count for a reliable source.

3- You are correct about multiple coins you posted FUD on above- the only problem with the list is that you COULD be wrong.  If I go out and shoot people that I think are rapist, is it ok if I am wrong 1 out of 10 times?

Lastly- posting a bunch of SCAM accusations, personal attacks and fudding threads with your BS - and then going back 6 months later to see if you were correct is not OK.

I could also pick out 10 random new coins and troll them like you, I would most likely end up being correct as frequently as you have been.  So please do not go patting yourself on the back to hard.  You paint a pretty picture of what you are doing but it is not honorable at all.  Somehow you think collateral damage is ok as long as you hit the target "sometimes".

Good Luck

Also, that 98% legit leaves that 2% -- and it is that 2% that makes him such a fuck

A Wound in Eternity
Here is a Sunday update again:

C-Cex de-listing:
I am fully aware that C-Cex has marked Bitz for de-listing on 02/07/2015 due to low volume. I am trying to get the volume up and will continue to do so in the next few days to make sure the average is 0.2BTC per day for the last 30 days. This will keep Bitz on C-Cex for another round I guess. I have to say that being on C-Cex is not essential and if Bitz is marked for de-listing again I will let it run out. You can trade Bitz at Cryptopia (will never de-list) and YoBit. C-Cex is mainly a pump-n-dump exchange and has a bad reputation amongst some people and I know from feedback that many people don't like trading there. I will keep working to get Bitz onto as many exchanges as possible and I keep contacting people around the crypto community and I keep searching for opportunities.

Coinsource Verification:
I had plans to get verified through Coinsource as this will help to get listed on Bittrex but money has been tight. After the recent controversy over Bitstone and some baseless allegations that Bitz is fraud has pushed this ahead I guess. So, on Friday 19/06/2015 I paid my $50,- to Coinsource and sent over all my documents. As it was Friday night and I am in London and I was working late and they are in LA we were unable to do the interview. In the interest of transparency I have copied in the initial conversation I had with Coinsource. They are not doing verifications over the weekend and I will do the interview tomorrow and post the verification.

I also want Earlz to review the code to get an independent view and see if there are any issues that needs to be fixed. This will have to wait a bit due to little money.

2FA wallets:
I want to make the Bitz wallets super secure and I want to have 2-factor-authentication for transfers as an option. It seems that at the moment there are mainly Google authenticator and Authy and neither are very good to implement. The whole issue around 2FA for wallets is tricky and maybe this is why nobody has done it yet. So, I am drawing up some different concepts for 2FA that does not require a third party. This is on the drawing board at the moment. It's a tricky task.

Block Explorers:
For a second Block Explorer I have considered Coinplorer or Presstab. Both are really good and I will decide in the next few days. This will mean that in addition to the master seed node, there will be two other permanent nodes and two sources to make sure the network is healthy.

White paper:
I know there was some critique of the white paper in some posts by members who clearly didn't understand the paragraph about anonymity. In the white paper I talk about network anonymity and anonymous transactions on the network and whether Bitz should implement anonymous transactions like say, Boolberry or Dash. There is nothing about the anonymity or not, of BCT members or anyone else. BCT user "charlieSeen" raised some questions which I answered and he then did not comment again.

We are also doing some work in the background around getting an Android wallet out. There are a few options available and we'll decide soon on how to do it.

I know that we are one of the smallest communities in crypto but rest assured that we are working towards our aims. I have a full time day job (I work shifts) and work on Bitz is sometimes in bursts of activity and sometimes there is some downtime due to other commitments.

Watch out for the Coinsource verification and stay with us.

I do not believe in thread censorship like some others do and again I welcome any questions and I will try my best to answer. FUD and hate-speech is what it is and most people will see through it.
