double my hashing power or refund my money. this is not acceptable. we need to let them know this.

Won't be enough at current difficulty increase rate: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/186d0816-5955-4188-9dbc-c7db10f779ec/435c091cf4428dd1473cd9fc92d88eec

They need to TRIPLE it and even then we break even (after 6 months).

A 32% difficulty increase to infinity is a little extreme,  no?  The network hashrate has to approach linear growth eventually.

Even then it won't be competitive versus AM chips based on efficiency.  IMHO, BA needs to halt production ASAP, offer to refund what they can and offer customers a chance to recoup via investing in a farm using AM chips.  BA chips are not going to be here on time or be adequately efficient.

When does the 25% rental hashrate start?

Do people who ordered from resellers get the same offer?

bobsag - any thoughts?  It would be interesting to see if this sort of deal (and/or the refunds) can be filtered down through Minersource as well...

I do believe BA were the ones who jacked up the Drillbit boards on Barntech's project.

better everyday ♥
So disappointed, thought Black Arrow was one of the "Good Guys" in the mining business.  We are "ahead" of schedule, we're "on target"....

All Lies!

No wonder they danced around all questions, and remained mute for last month or so.

Guess no Asic manufacturer nowadays can keep their word, promises, or truly remain transparent to the customer.

Overpromise, underdeliver is the mantra of the mining world...

They've cited W/Ghash & user experience as the delays.  I don't think many of the customers will be as concerned with the features regarding the user experience or the power consumption but moreso the feature of mining crypto currencies at the rate specified on the date specified.  It is unfortunate that that date is not able to be made because the new date doesn't allow one to make a return on the investment.  This is unfortunate, and this news will very negatively effect my life.

This is a great deal of money I've invested in this company and this miner.  I've only done so after spending literally days convincing myself that as risky as it was it was worth it given my estimates.  The biggest gamble was being able to trust the company's word on their release date.  Now that I feel like I have no hope of returning this money I can't describe how frustrated and sad I am at knowing how many hours of my life I worked to make money I'll never see again, because I put trust in black arrows confident production statements.

I don't believe W/Ghash & user experience were the reasons. I believe they just could not do it and were buying for time.

Wow, just wow.  May?HuhHuhHuh?  25% for 4 months??#$!%

I had 3 miner pre-orders that I deem likely to ship by 1Q - the Prospero 3 batch 1, BFL Monarch batch 2 (late but cheap), and AMT's 1.2 Th/s unit.  If you had asked me a month ago, I would have said BA 90% by March, BFL 50% by March and AMT 25% by March.  My how the world has changed!!  AMT shipping in a couple of weeks (maybe already started), BFL on tape-out looking likely to delivery within a month on first batch (!?) if they aren't lying, and BA?  Well, sorry.  BA just got BFL'd.  And KNC?  They might as well not even show up to the party.  So much for reputation in this industry; it looks like success is a one night stand in ASICland.

Or they could host bitfurries for everyone starting March 1 until we get the Prospero
Do they have enough to host to compensate everyone for the amount of THs each person ordered?
If they host the bitfuries there will be no money for prosperos.

And WHY did they wait until NOW to tell us that they will be late when they knew that they would be late early January?

Because they had to draw in enough preorders to be able to pay for the chip manufacturing. Note they now say it is all paid for. Guess it wasn't until now. Good luck getting a lot of refunds out of them, they have probably spent most of their free capital at this point. Expect a lot of foot dragging.
Agree.  BA should halt chip production asap.  The world doesn't need anymore inefficient chips.  Redirect funds to compo people plus invest in FCs chips at AM.

25% doesn't amount to a pinch of coon shit when you've lost 2 months of mining. Difficulty will be 6-8 billion by then, and you only get 4 months worth. 50% more hashrate for 4 months maybe...
I suggest that BA drop their chips and do a deal with FC at AM ASAP.  At the end of the day, all we want is hashpower to generate BTCs.  Even if BA manages to get these chips out, they will be noncompetitive from day one versus AM chips at 0.35 watts/ghs at normal voltage, expected delivery late March.

Doubling 2 TH/s probably might not cut it with the other TH/s ASIC around for 2+ months.

I hope they beat the Neptunes to shipping.  At least now I don't have to check their website every ten minutes.  I really hope they consider more compensation.
Could someone explain to me the tech-speak?
What is 120 ghs at the TT, and 100 at the ss corner?  Does that mean 220 x 4 chips=880 ghs?
