Correct my, if I'm wrong - group buy members believed in your company as well, right? Smiley

We are not aware of any group buys for Lancelot.
We will continue our policy not to accept any group buys.

I'm selling some Black Arrow Lancelots:

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/59351-blackarrow-lancelot-fpga-miner-300-prospero-asic-trade-in

(Black Arrow, the trade-in program is open to anyone with a Black Arrow Lancelot, and is not restricted to just original purchasers, yes?)

This trade in program is for customers who believed in us from the beginnings and tho whom we've made the promise. Only the original purchasers will be able to trade in.

Doh.  De-listed.

As an original purchaser, I may use the trade-in program, but to use all my Lancelots I'd have to buy a lot more Prosperos than suits my budget.

It would be a nice benefit to original purchasers in my position to allow us to sell the Lancelots to other parties for trade-in use.  I guess that's a larger benefit than you wish to extend.

OK then, fair enough.

We'll be accepting: Bank Transfer, Western Union, Bitcoin.

Damn that's super risky!

Credit cards will also be accepted but it might take a while until we set up all details with our bank.

Maybe you can give an answer to the questions from PuertoLibre, post 2 in this thread ?

The answer was in the opening post and we've already answered him as well.

Are you sourcing the ASIC chip from Avalon? Or are you making your own ASIC chip?

We have no connection with Avalon. We're building our own ASIC.

Black Arrow has a proven record of successfully manufacturing and delivering Bitcoin mining hardware on schedule at competitive prices.

I would say that is not exactly true.

Are you sourcing the ASIC chip from Avalon? Or are you making your own ASIC chip?

Interested. I have 3 Lancelots to trade in.  BlackArrow can be trusted. Feb is a long way off though.

Lemme guess. Bitcoin payments only? Roll Eyes

The foundry only accepts USD but we'll accept Bitcoins as well :-)

But taking your marketing skills aside what payment options will you have? What other details can you provide about your chip?

We'll be accepting: Bank Transfer, Western Union, Bitcoin.

We're also looking to start accepting debit/credit cards.

The first orders are expected to be shipped at the end of February 2014.

---

At today’s Bitcoin price and network hashing rate, X-1 would return $682 in 15 days and X-3 would return $13845 in 15 days (1).

---

(1) As Bitcoin network is currently growing, we expect that the actual revenue by the time of shipment to be lower than this.

Yes. Very Very Very much lower than this. You're going to be delivering end of Feb (the target). By the time that date rolls around, your top of the line machine will be barely making $200-300 a month. Pitiful. 6 months away is just wayyyyy too far off.

And my post will probably be deleted but yeah, hopefully a few people may be able to see my message before it becomes so.

Sorry to disappoint you, we are only deleting off-topic posts.

Our view is that Bitcoin Mining is going to live more than the next 6 months.

Our promise to our customers is that we'll deliver the most efficient chip and will practice a minimal profit.

At the time of the actual shipment we'll make sure that we sell our chip at the market price or lower. All pre-orders will benefit of the same discount by the time that we start shipping. No longer you'll pre-order a hardware today just to discover 3 days later that others can pre-order it at 1/3 of the price you've paid.

The Minion will be 1500 times more efficient in Bitcoin Mining than today’s fastest video card and it will be capable of scanning 64Ghash every second (roughly equivalent is 416Gflops). This design has been chosen to offer highest reliability, lowest power consumption and cost. Black Arrow is not making the biggest chip in the industry but exactly this design ensures highest reliability in case of a Minion breakdown.

I really hate this cheap marketing trick. Wow 1500 times more efficient than a video card. Why didn't you said it's 432750349573745 times more efficient than a CPU? This is almost like Nigerian marketing. No offense.

But taking your marketing skills aside what payment options will you have? What other details can you provide about your chip?

Sounds like we'll be able to get an Avalon ASIC unit for 239 dollars next year.  Pretty impressive progress.
Thats what is crossing my mind as well. As well as the possibility that BlackArrow is leaking details on Avalons Gen 2.

Notice he is avoiding the question of whether these are Avalon ASIC chips in development?

Edit: Have to admit, I haven't run the numbers yet, but 3999$ for 1300Gh/s sounds like a good deal.

We're not avoiding, the answer to your question is in the original announcement.

It has been a while since we've joined forces with Verisilicon to design and produce our own ASIC, as we've promised to this community 4 months ago.
