BA could NOT do in months what technobit did with BA chips in half the time but they have competent engineers lol . Who gets beat building something you have months of access to first ,BA needs to add a D to there name and call themselves BADS. You cant make this crap up its to easy to see just how inept this company is now .

Yes, Technobit pretty much proved how inept BA really is. Either that or BA never had any backplane issues and have been mining on their Minion chips for a couple months now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the X3 is seriously under performing. This is the only reason I can think of that they would ship them first then tell us about it, again, with absolutely no detail on final specs.

I asked for a refund this morning stating that I will give the go ahead for my lawyer in Shenzhen who will work with my lawyer in The Virgin Islands and continue discussions with Scotland Yard if I don't have shipping info by the end of the month as it's the last promise I'm prepared to take.

I will not sit quietly anymore after investing US$25K in this company and will happily spend more to regain that investment from them plus compensation if the lawyers do their job correctly.

I hope they actually don't send my X3s now because I will have a better chance of return through the legal system.  I'd love to see them produce the documents that made them decide they were ahead of schedule back in January let alone all the other documents they would need to produce to show why they have gone against almost everything they have told us.  i.e. documents to show the LCD orders from multiple companies and every document showing orders for each revision of board etc.  I don't believe they would be able to produce them so as my lawyer has stated... Should be a walk in the park.

This is the reply and if they are true to their word about their production capabilities (again, documents will be required) then it should only be a matter of days before they hit my order.  If I find that they've shipped to re sellers first then I'm not waiting for the end of month.

Dear customer,

We have started shipping X3s on Saturday. We apologize for not posting evidence on our website, unfortunately we did not have time for this. We are shipping in the order of payments.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Black Arrow Team

Just dont accept the delivery. Plain and simple.

Consider this scenario:

a. After months of cooling in oil the obsolete hash boards are removed and built into X3 miners for customers.

b. The miners are shipped to angry customers.

c. The customers plug in the units and start hashing in spite of the fact they'll never recover more than 10% of their investment.

d. The heat from the ASICs vaporizes the residue oil on the hash boards and quickly fills the room with an explosive vapor.

e. The capacitors that can't explode produce only sparks.

a) why waste their time and our money cooling in oil when they have nothing to lose, customer funded

b) they are only shipping to people who requested a refund

cde) nothing clever to say to those  Grin

Sad thing is everyone who bought BA's load of crap would of been able to buy bigger and better at least 2 months ago.

I wound up ordering antminers back in feb after the first delay. At the point in time it was painfully apparent we were going to be in the long haul run around as they had zero hardware in hand then, they weren't even at the testing stages. Low and behold. Even the miners they are shipping now are incomplete pieces of shit. You think they would at the very least, give refunds for the lcds we paid for, yet were not included in the order. So many things are beyond fucked about this situation. Karma is real though, screw enough people over in life and one day, you are gonna screw a person that doesn't take kindly to screwing.

I guess they are trying for the top spot in the worst hardware manufacturer category? Bfl, hashfast, BA? I would say tie for second at the moment. BFL, i dunno, didn't deal with them. Seems just as bad though.

People on their forums are reporting that their miners are being shipped, even though their orders have been canceled after they have requested refunds.

That actually makes sense as to why the orders in the 100s aren't being touched yet. Ship out the orders of the people requesting refunds first, so you don't have to refund them. Then ship out orders for people who don't say anything, as they have most likely given up.

That is what I think is happening. I ordered from Minersource and when I tried to get an exchange for an Antminer S3. My order seemed to magically ship. Could be a coincidence. Would still prefer the Antminer. I still want to know when compensation will be finalised.

Bobsag,

Can you tell me when order #1429 will ship? I spoke with you by phone on the 14th, and you said it should ship by Friday. I have seen no sign of any activity on my order.

thanks
BA haven't even moved on the #800-series orders yet, so don't hold your breath.

lol, they haven't even hit orders in the 100's yet, or at least is the assumption i can make as i am sitting on an order about halfway into 100's, and another in the 300s.

A little excitement today.

Go my 2nd X-1 in the mail.

Pulled it out of the box and set it up on my desk plugged the cable into the back of the unit and then into the powerstrip. There was a thunderous electrical crackle and spark and the room went dark.

Looks like the power supply died and popped the circuit breaker along with it.

This is the first piece of electrical equipment I have had die straight out of the box that I can remember. It sure does smell bad!
No surprise there. Probably the cheapest, shittiest power supplies from Lucky Golden Rabbit Electric Co., Ltd or whatever it was. Back in February they asked the PSU suppliers to reduce the physical size of the unit, trimming the safety margins on a unit that, like so much other turfed out from China, probably had no margins to start with.

Ordered in November, it's July. They're taking the piss to a whole new level.

they dump their old miners cause they've got the new ones to mine with

and then this will become the X3 's and the X2 product (when they have suck all of the out of this shit)
backplane was a shitty reason they found to delay the delivery of their boards while they hashing

Huh

I hope the whole building will collapse on them with a giant hearthquake
(just after they send all the orders  Grin )

Ain't that the truth! I personally have no issue buying a miner after it has been used for a while, as long as the company is transparent about things.

I am mostly curious about the black arrow boards the bitfury chips are on. When did they have the time to make those up? Was that during the time they should have been working on designing the machines they were taking preorders on?

^ Will code for Bitcoins
Is there something wrong with their pricing model?

It's the current market price (0.002 BTC / GHs).

Almost the same price has AntMiner S3 shipping in a week:
https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140704023505485N5SxDMkW0693
Actually, AntiMiner is 0.0015 BTC / GHs, but there's a possibility it may ship in two weeks, which makes for this 25% price difference. Both of these products are very robust and energy efficient.

Whoever pays more than 0.002 BTC / GHs for miner shipping today obviously haven't done his homework.

If Blackarrow wasn't a bullshit company, you would think they would ship out what ever http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/40ghash-16x-bitfury-hashing-board.html they have in stock to those that are waiting and willing. I am telling you, i can't fuckin prove it, but it is the ONLY logical solution. They went ahead and made those miners, figured they could mine with them and announce one delay, most people in the crypto world would accept that and not complain much, nature of the beast. Shit got out of hand for them, they dropped the ball, now they fucked over a bunch of people. I surely hope a fate worse than death befalls any scumbag who had their hands involved in this.

that's normal, they need to make the money come in

notice that the price is quite ok for this product
(that's normal, surely a lot of BTC has been mined with and it might cost them nothing)

it's not the same for our over priced X3s we payed looongtime ago

how a company can sell direct order cheaper than preorders ??

answer: the cheap direct order product cost them nothing and it already made a lot of BTC

welcome in the BA world ... Huh

this makes me sick... how they can do it just in front of us ?
they screwed us and they show us how well it was ...  Sad

Yeah, it is "normal" just like delaying a product for 6 months is "normal". These aren't normal circumstances we are under.

Just because it says 1000 bucks and it is down to 50 doesn't mean it is awesome pricing. You still need a few other pieces to get them to work. They simply will not sell if they charge more given what is out there right now.

My whole point is, people are waiting for hardware to hash with. They have hardware to hash with. If they cared at all, and weren't a fucking scam, they would offer something.

" However, we have done all preliminary calculations possible right now and due to our design focused on quality including:

-8 layer PCBs

-heatpipe heatsinks

-aluminium case

-included power supply

-long life 4 wire 5000 RPM fans

-genuine parts (capacitors, resistors, mosfets, inductors etc)

-capacitors that cannot not explode "

Do us a favour and open it up and see which of the massively high quality component that justify black arrow shafting us has failed within the psu/miner?
I think what I would do as well is check every other electrical item in your house and see if it has done any damage to other gear you own.
Also, I wouldn't open it up, id get a certified electrician to open it and give a detailed report in writing.
You might need that sort of proof if you want to claim anything from these assholes.
Just my opinion of course.

Right, because paying a certified electrician to make a detailed report on a now virtually worthless mining device makes a lot of sense?  Roll Eyes
