OP says forum user Teek handles Canada, but i don't see any group buy thread or similar thread started by such a user so not sure how to proceed...

If you bought 950 at 1.99 and now 50 at 0.99 they will pay the difference 50 x 0.1 = 5 BTC

950*1.99 = 1890.50 BTC  ,  50*0.99 = 49.50 BTC

1890.50 +49.50 = 1940 - 5 = 1935

1000*0.99 = 990 BTC , 1000*0.1 = 100 BTC

990 - 100 = 890BTC

890*2 = 1780 BTC for 2000 USB Block Erupter... 1935 BTC for 1000 early adopters.

Early adopter get's Scammed... And community still says friedcat u done well... Cheesy

So you should at least tell it is 120W at 13Gh/s in your table, not 100W

- I may agree with this statement, so corresponding value in the table was modified.

Thank you.

It is too optimistic to expect block erupter blade yield 13Gh/s

- It's overclocked with a voltmod.

Yes overclocked yields 12+Gh/s. One can see 13Gh/s ocasionally in blade web interface. But it is not something you should expect. Speed reported by pool and stratum proxy is lower anyway (I have no idea why).

my blade consumes 150 Watt. I recall someone posted his numbers and they were close to mine, not 100 Watt

- Look here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/asicminer-blade-sales-temporarily-out-of-stock-204030

citation:

Hashrate: baseline 10 GHash/s, rated 10.752 GHash/s, maximum 12.829 GHash/s with overclocking and proper cooling
Power Consumption: 70 - 75 W on 1.03 - 1.05 V, 83 W on 1.1 V, 100 W on 1.2 V, 120 W on 1.2 V and overclocking

So you should at least tell it is 120W at 13Gh/s in your table, not 100W. Again I have the blade and can tell the consumption is higher:

Take that 1 Bitcoin and invest it into something which might make a return.
ASICMiner shares?
It's at 3 Bitcoin per share and look at their dividend payouts...terrible.

Terrible?  Go to Vegas and put it all on red then, man.  You won't find a much better investment anywhere in the world right now.

Make a poll or something

Apologies for my previous post (since removed) - friedcat gets enough emails/PMs. I took your advice and created a poll. Please check it out when you have time and answer so ASICM and other manufacturers know what you value when making your hardware purchase: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2565390

within the EU there is no need for a GB

you can buy directly, no GB, no minimum
they will be in stock within the EU.
shipping will be from Germany with DHL
oder registered priority mail

But friedcats update was a little bit surprising for me.
Because there are still a few things to clarify.
Must first talk to him and my business partner

I fail to see how future prices have any effect on your opinion of a product that you previously purchased after thoroughly researching it.

Future price has zero effect on my opinion of a product. I'm just grumbling a bit is all. Sorry. Tempted to get another 50 of these to add to my farm Tongue

EDIT: And thanks for your anecdotes as a reseller. Appreciate your perspective.

It's the point of a 50% price drop in such a short time that is disconcerting and hurts a little bit in the gluteus maximus area  Undecided

It's my understanding, based on discussions with friedcat, that the recent price drop is the result of new larger manufacturing runs of this product (economy of scale).

Just like when you print magazines ... printing 100 may cost you $200. ($2 each)

But come back the next day (because you realized there was incredible demand and need a lot more) and ask for 300 magazines and you might be surprised that it only costs you slightly more ... $300 total. ($1 each - 50% off!)

As a re-seller who has been in constant contact with friedcat, I can tell you that I've told him time and time again that demand was crazy and he'd better get more made fast. He ramped up production and now is not only able to meet demand, but he's able to do so at half the cost because his re-sellers have given him a better idea of the true quantity needed (rather than a rough low-ball first guess).

I'm speaking both as a re-seller and as a customer who owns block erupters as a personal mining venture: we buy items based on their perceived value at the time of purchase. It's our responsibility to evaluate their value and make an appropriate offer if we deem fit. I fail to see how future prices have any effect on your opinion of a product that you previously purchased after thoroughly researching it. I was satisfied with my purchase back then, and I'm satisfied with my purchase now.

I just finished typing up this same thing to a customer who has been demanding a partial refund from me due to price drops, etc. - it just doesn't work that way. Pay what you think a product is worth (not a satoshi more) and don't think twice about it, both for your mental health and mine  Wink

I don't understand all these people who complain about them "overpriced" and "robbery".

Being "overpriced" or "robbery" doesn't enter the equation really. We all bought at the initial price for our own reasons. It's the point of a 50% price drop in such a short time that is disconcerting and hurts a little bit in the gluteus maximus area  Undecided

Even for those of us that made 50 stick purchases @ 1.99, it would be nice to be able to have the option to purchase another 50 @ 0.89 instead of 0.99 (although I'm really more excited to see what happens with the new blades).

If you don't like the price then simply don't buy. There is no lack of demand even at this price, so nobody cares about your complaints. Obviously AM reaps the benefits of no competition, and that's okay, because the price is determined by market, not production costs. You don't expect friedcat to be marxist even though he is from "communist" China. Smiley

Sorry for the original ambiguation before that misled some customers that the price difference we pay back is 1.0BTC. What we expected to say is for the price difference based on both new prices.

Thanks for the clarification. I had hoped to receive a credit for previous sales, as the original wording implied, so I could pass refunds/credits onto my most recent customers who may feel a little sting with today's price cuts  Undecided That sure would have done a lot for maintaining goodwill throughout the transition.

As it was originally worded, I imagine there would have been some interesting incentives for re-sellers such as myself to keep selling ASICM products. Next week's divis would have been record breaking!!

OP Updated

If you reach the total volume of 1,000 USB sticks, price is dropped to 0.89 each. We will also pay back the price difference of all your historic transaction (timeline started from the 0.99 pricing) of USB sticks. For example, if you bought more than 1,000 sticks, 500 for 1.99 and 500 for 0.99, the new price will be 0.89, and we will pay you the price difference for the 0.99 USB sticks, that is (0.99-0.89)*500=50BTC.

Sorry for the original ambiguation before that misled some customers that the price difference we pay back is 1.0BTC. What we expected to say is for the price difference based on both new prices.

Clear as mud, boss!

Can I purchase USB miners directly from you if I order more than 50 units?
I am in the first 3 regions, not rest of the world... Smiley
