Anyone notice the balance on cryptopia for cap is no longer locked?  Trading still is "paused".  Wallet is still 2.2.x too.

Confirmed, the receive and send options are open.  Going to try and send 100 coins to my wallet.
Stay tuned

Update:  1,000 sent to my wallet been on processing status on Cryptopia for two hours.  My personal wallet is 2.3.0 is open and synced.  Nothing has left yet from Cryptopia.

Bottlecaps is a very creative name, is also a relatively old coin, the price is still relatively low, when to a qualitative leap?

I see we are listed here.

https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=CAP_BTC

I think we should try to get a bit of volume.

with caution, they can suddenly lock withdraws, or fall into hours of maint, etc

It actually happened already. Their wallet stuck on block 3389999. Deposits and withdrawals wouldn't work until they update the wallet and resync blockchain ~ 2 days.

May the force bit with you.
Thanks for the warnings.

Deposits of 808 and BOAT (from about two weeks ago) haven't made it there.  BOAT is having issues with Cryptopia for the same amount of time, the 808 I sent about 12 hours ago.   I would send only a little first.

Not sure why it says I have unmature coins now since 12/20.
I have coins even older without any weight. Was there any changes with the fork?

I started staking heavily a few days ago.

So I still haven't heard anythign back from Cryptopia, my ticket is not updated.

We can try to get listed elsewhere. I have coins we can use from the fork as a bounty. Say 10-15 million or so.

Anyone want to reach out and do some applications? Offer 10 million coins, but not to be touched for 3-6 months.

Let's assume we are fortunate enough to get on another exchange.  How do we get the wallets unlocked at Cryptopia so we can move off.  Is it safe to assume that they are not going to let the wallets go until they get their lost coins?

I don't know enough so any light on what could possibly happen would be helpful to know.
Thanks in advance

Well if provable I can potentially pay off the balances.

But I agree we should give them a bit more time.

Lets be patient with cryptopia. They have a lot to do, bottlecaps is a shitcoin and obviously not a top priority. It wont hurt us to be without exchange for a few more weeks.

Has anyone considered skipping on these centralised exchanges completely and using the bitshares platform?

It would be possible to run a decentralised organisation with collateralised CAP and a bitshares issued token.
Lets call it the CAP foundation
The CAP foundation account can be permissioned across several foundation members (vote for them if you like)

While CAP can happily stake on the CAPS blockchain the organisation can release tradeable CAP tokens with regular airdrops for holders
to distribute the stakes into the market.
When a user withdraws they receive CAPS to a caps address.(see open.btc open.ltc)

Best thing is minimal costs, the trading fees can be set by the foundation and it puts a POS coin on a next gen exchange.

If you are not familiar with bitshares go take a quick look at openledger or bitshares.org.

0.5BTC to get on an exchange for them to charge fees Huh?? GOOD GOD them days are over soon enough.

I keep forgetting about that blockchain size thing because there was talk about the Truckcoin wallet being recompiled to make it smaller.

Did anyone notice that we are not on coinmarketcap anymore?

cryptopia admins fighting enormous load lately, first priority, no time for anything

I figured as much as they've always had spectacular support. Cryptopia's experienced considerable growth since CAP was first listed.

I like the idea of reaching out to other exchanges with an offer, the team at Bittrex has always seemed very professional and above board. Alternatively, somewhere far from the shores of countries that want to tax every trade - Binance? https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/sections/115000106672-New-Listings.

If any of you get in touch with an exchange who's interested post here and I'll do the same.

It's great to have the new wallet and this coin still hanging on.  I love the way it stakes and the name/idea.  It's too bad this wallet can't get down to a smaller size.  I noticed the Cap+ wallet is tiny.   I wonder if there is any change in code that can be implemented and prioritized at a later date.

I'm assuming you mean the blockchain loaded into memory?  That's not the wallet.  You control the wallet size by the number of transactions that are in it.  The blockchain size is dependent on the number of blocks that exist.  Cap+ started with a genesis block and a completely new chain, not a fork.  Bottlecaps has block one from 2013.  That's a lot of blocks...
