Hello, how are you all?
I want to take out my cryptopia caps and pass them to a personal wallet.
they help me? from where I can download an updated wallet.
thanks, ray.

Cryptopia don't have any caps. They got stolen. There have been created new coins to reimburse cryptopia. They just need to update the wallet to the newest release and provide an caps adress, but no one seems to be able to get in touch with cryptopia.

i wonder what their next play, from the Cryptsy playbook, they're going to use...

Hi. Saw a branch about BottleCaps(CAP), a little studied past posts and did not understand what to do with coins? These old coins CAP they are now not suitable to trade? Was released updated coins or not?? To throw in the trash or is there a exchange for a new one? Cryptopia removes the CAP, then there is a solution, where you can learn about this? Thanks in advance for clarification.

There is no clarification right now.  Cryptopia doesn't not seem to want to keep the coin on their exchange but has not fully delisted it... so it's a waiting game to see what they will ultimately do.  As for any other exchange, TS is an option but they are not allowing new registrations and it's not a large exchange either... and has a couple complaints about it.  To be fair, so does Cryptopia.

Does anyone have an up-to-date snapshot that can run with the new wallet (version 2.3.0.0)? I can't seem to get it running using the copy from CryptoChainer. Sad

It doesn't take very long... just update your nodes with what presstab has there and you'll be fine... it'll take a few days but it's better to have a nice clean chain.

If we confirm with cryptopia that they are delisting they should at least let us withdrawl our coins to the old chain and then we can update to the new chain. Pretty soon regulation is going to step in and start coming down on exchanges that are not releasing “property” as the government calls crypto

Would not work.  The "old chain" ended at block 3.9 million.  Only way to withdraw is if they update to 2.3.x

I created a ticket asking nicley to unlock my wallet and let me withdraw my coins.  Stating the obvious  that I was not involved any any way with happened blah blah blah.
Lets see what they say.

Assuming they say yes. I can only assume that it will be to the old wallet.

What should, we as a group be ready to do?

Unfortunately I still think that Cryptopia isn't going to do anything and that the coins that are on the exchange will be ultimately lost when they delist and delete everything...

With that said, the other exchange still, IMO, is our best bet.  It does mean losing the coins on Cryptopia but it also means that we should have an exchange again.

EDIT:  And to top it off, they've removed the coin from the coin list.

EDIT2:  Also, there seems to be a small issue with their location... I've never met a brit that spoke like this:

And... registrations have been closed with no date for re-open... so anyone who doesn't have an account already isn't able to bump volume.

I am going in and making screen shots of my deposit history and balance.  If we are someday able to get on another exchange maybe justtttttt maybe Tranz would be able to give out some of the coins he is holding to give back to some of the accounts that were on Cryptopia.  Remember everything on there was frozen as of November.  That is just a thought.  The heck with Cryptopia if they don't want to help.  Keeping the coins is just plain robbery.  I have already move off most of my coins to local wallets.

Bottlecap may not have been worth much, they may not be going anywhere in the near future, but Sh*^%$%t they are still my coins!  Call it a sentimental value !!!!!
Confirmed Trade Satoshi is closed for registrations.  Maybe and offer to them to open to a specific list of dis-gruntled cryptopia account holders will allow them to listen.

I vote we move off and screw them.  Thoughts?

There are also users that can't withdraw coins from TS... so there's that as well...  Maybe just isolated complaints for good reason, or maybe the exchange isn't really a good idea...

just a mod like me. can't do anything.

He doesn't have to wait months for the cryptopia devs to read his pms. Maybe he could have a word with them. That could get results faster than waiting months for a reply to a support ticket.

Somebody should reach out to him.  There is allot to loose and whats the worse that can happen.  Maybe even give him the ticket numbers.

I have your money from the Double Spend Attack on CAPS. I need to know you are on version 2.3. Then please send me a wallet address and exact amount you are missing so I can send those coins over to you. Thank you, Tranz

Hello,
I know you are very busy. Just let me know an approximate time frame to when you might be able to do this? I would just like to let the other users know.

Thank you!

Hello. I have seen you intend to delist CAP. Please before you do will you upgrade to version 2.3 and allow me to give you the coins that were part of hack?

https://github.com/bottlecaps-foundation/bottlecaps

People deserve their coins. Plus I can give you an addition 10 million if you allow CAP to stay on.

Thank you!

He seems to be a spokesman for cryptopia in this cryptopia thread.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptopia-cryptocurrency-platform-services-and-development-1669443

Here's a sample of some of his posts.

Cryptopia will be going down for scheduled maintenance in a few minutes, we expect this to be complete in about 30 mins, thanks for your understanding and patience!

Lafu, are you an official representative of Cryptopia?

You call it so maybe , but i only a simple Mod for the Cryptopia site and on the forums and try to help but always busy so often are delays sry !

CAPP is Cappasity on Cryptopia.

Yeah, did a double take when I saw CAPP in the list on Cryptopia. It is not the same CAPP that is mentioned in this thread.
just thought I would bring it up in case devs want to come up with a different name (like BCAP)
