Bounty hunting is really a challenging job, sometimes you can earn and sometimes you can loss, the best thong to do if you are a newbie is o research first the project and the background of the team who run the project to avoid falling into a scam project.
You can only choose good projects if you have experience and have been involved in bounty for a long time. For newbies it is very difficult for them to participate in good campaigns, I think it is good that they should follow the bounty of reputable managers.

Maybe it will even be good for newbies to participate in every campaign to build an image of a successful one and to get experience. I remember myself being a total noob. I have participated in every campaign that has a sound name and good idea behind the project. After a year of participating for nothing I became more selective to where I participate. But still I make mistakes and get nothing. Good is that at least one out of five campaigns I was in gets listed somewhere and I earn my beer-money.

I believe the best advice for a newbie nowdays is not to waste time on the bounty Smiley I didn't take part couple of years, I returned a couple months ago but I can't find something worth to participate. Just radix but it is also tricky with KYC and locks during 1 year

Well, you have missed several opportunities to get easy money. Oikos, Ferrum Network, Cartesi, yobit signature campaign, Minter, MiracleTele. You could have earned about 3,000-5,000 thousand dollars if you were lucky to be in these campaigns from beginning till end and sell tokens at most high price.

You think getting $3k+ just for posting on forum is a waste of time?
I see you still wearing signature - what for ?

hmph..
Here i want to give an additional,

1. The best way for newbie who want to join bounty is see how many participants who join in the campaign. Sometimes allocation looks good, when the BM choose a stake metode than fixed rates, the rewards for member will be not really good even the project was success.

2. Make a research, and see on scam accusation board.

3. Find tools to verifying team, see white paper and other additional information.

4. Don't join too many campaigns to prevent your Bitcointalk and Social Media getting banned.

5. Read and follow any rules

6. Don't acting as a 5 years old kid, don't ask about distribution every day, hours or even minutes. You can read and typing a text. Use search feature on telegram group, you will find the answer

Good tips, I must commend your post. I think scammers have seen beyond most of these things that you have mentioned, they are now operating at a different level. Most of the projects that are scam now does not always look like it any more, that is why I will advise anyone to always read reviews about projects, read what people are saying about project every time, it will help you a lot to escape scam project.
Apart from reviews from people it's good to go to scam sections on Bitcointalk, this section have saved me few times before, few scam projects will look good in your eye but not everyone, you can find few smart members of this forum exposing many new projects through scam accusation in this forum

Bitcointalk is a treasure trove of valuable information that can used by users, provided they know how to use it and they know how to research well. Many things can be found that are related to scams and bounties that we can use to our advantage. The only problem that many users face, I myself included, is the research skill and the time you need to allot to find the information you need. I always tell my crypto colleagues that if we can divide ourselves into two so that we can organize more our thoughts and get the information we need at the shortest amount of time. You will get through this. Patience is the key above all.

You can't predict which project will give good reward to bounty hunters that's why it's wrong to promote only a single project in a whole year, promoting more than 10 projects in a year isn't wrong if the projects are worth a try

Still see you participating in a campaign and you're hanging their signatures, so why would you want new people not to be involved in bounty? If you're lucky and choose the right campaign, I believe they will still get a lot of money from it

Participating in one campaign once in a year? Ok, let them wait for the reward, it's their choise.

3. If the team offering the bounty hunters to pay a small amount for the bounty hunters to process the rewards then pretty sure they are scam. They just trying to scam even the bounty hunters.

You mean they ask bounty hunters to send money to received their rewards?

If yes, this is most likely one of the old tricks, actually I have encountered this before, and yes, the project turn out to be a scam project. First thing to remember for bounty hunters, they should not produce any amount of money just to get their rewards. We should always remember that this is not how bounty campaign works, they are the one who's going to pay and not us.

The best advice I can give bounty hunters is never to rely on a ended Campaign, move into others unless no good bounties are available presently and do not always expect big rewards from bounties, most times rewards will be low because of many participants or token value
I don't think there is any harm in hoping more for the bounty campaign, just don't get too far because the hopes in the bounty campaign make someone frustrated and disappointed when their expectations are not what they want.

If the newbies have low experience about crypto and they have real intents to promote projects it's best to follow reputable bounty managers like bubbalex and arteezy or bounty detective
Arteezy seems resting for a while cause his last campaign is hybrix but its only a short period campaign. While bubbleAlex is good manager he only pick good campaigns and project to launch.

Those what OP listed are all true but we cant enforced this to some pushy hunters if they dont want to follow then its up to them. Some hunters are keep joining on new open campaign not even checking whether its legit or not. They are betting their chance on all. But is it effective? Once it becomes scam they will only waste effort and time. Not a wise move.

Use your time and energy on quality bounty projects, many bad bounties are on here and many bounty hunters aren't doing good research on bounties because they are lazy, example of quality bounty projects presently are oikos and DIA which are both DeFi projects
These are the 2 best projects at the moment, especially DIA. Their ICO price was $ 0.05 but now it has risen to $ 1 after listing in exchanges, and those bounty participants are getting rich because the budget is also increasing by 20 times.
How is the budget increased by 20 times? The whole bounty allocation for DIA is 100,000 tokens and after the BM update the token to 200k the team went against their words and the bounty allocation dropped back to 100,000k, I know the bounty manager is a reputable one but dropping allocation is wrong.

I never look for a bounty campaign on Google, because this is a regular search engine and it will give you whatever you want, including scam projects. I usually go to to managers at Telegram channels with whom I have already worked, and there are also special channels dedicated to bounties.
Of course searching for a Bounty campaign on Google is not the right way, it's better to find information in this forum. Personally, for now I will only join the Bounty campaign managed by the Bounty Detective. I see they often get good Bounty projects, so we always get rewards if joining with them.
Maybe that is the best way for you to choose a Bounty project managed by Detective, but in my opinion Detective has a poor project appraisal, they don't see details about the participants who join the project they hold, so with so many people cheating using take or copying someone else's Bitcointalk name or a link from someone else's article, maybe this is just my perception of Detective. I know everyone is free to join any project and whoever manages the prize. So basically, join a prize campaign that you think is very good and fair, because that way you will not be disappointed with what you have done by helping promote their projects in the future.

Good if you can find the good bounties project and works for you, as seen in the past that many might not be a successful one unless it is backed by good manager then chances increase to be a good project. So yes, always have your own study as well about the coin and how you think it will be in coming times, what are the chances of making it 5x - 10x etc and then invest accordingly.
You guys are right. It's hard to find a good project to join. The reputation of the bounty manager can ensure the project somehow. However, it's not all we need. Doing research is a critical step that is very important. It's not easy to do good research since there are many fake news and rumours that can affect our information. Scammers are getting smarter and ahead that we always have to be aware of them!

For me, I'll just join the bounty that is recommended by the professional bounty hunters and there is a list of good bounty campaigns that's safer to participate.
