I'm rooting for Donaire as a fellow Pinoy fan but whatever the result, he should hang his gloves now after the fight.

I hope he is just waiting for another win so that he will have a good exit.

I read somewhere before, back in the supposed fight on him last December that got postponed, that he just need at least 1-2 match before retirement. If he will able to upset Oubaali here, I'm sure he wants another fight again.

Here is John Riel Casimero's take on this fight:

Lol, funny interview on Casimero, but that's real talk, look at that arms though.  Grin

I know that most of us are really stun to see that huge gap in the odds and Donaire as the underdog. This is a true test for Donaire, retirement or chase for more glory if he wins. And we all know that when elite boxers faces against the wall, most of the time, they can still dig in and pull one more good fight in them.

Nonito is the underdog, ML:
Oubaali - 1.33
Donaire - 3.25

I somehow agree with the odds. Let's face the fact here.

But I'm sure Nonito still has it. We see how fierce he turned to on his last fight despite the talks that he's now past his prime. His training is non-stop even amid pandemic so he should stay in his shape even after contracting the virus (which he is asymptomatic).

We might never see an odds like that for a Pinoy boxer so I might disregard the Tale of the Tape between these two and risks some money for Donaire.

^^ Indeed, Donaire's left hook was the best in this division during his prime and even if he lost to Inoue, we can still see that money left hook that he possesses even if critics are discounting him against the Inoue that time.

Might bet early on Donaire because of that huge odds, unless he really grows old overnight, he can still go make an upset and create another ripple in this division. Inoue and Casimero could be in the horizon for him if he win and take the championship belt from Nordine  Oubaali.
That’s the strength of Donaire that makes him more worth it as an opponent, unfortunately we didn’t see some of his anticipated matches. Anyway, this match could be a big deal for Donaire as he is trying to gain back some titles and this could be the way for him to match good boxers soon, Oubaali has a clean record but I don’t see so much strength on this guy compare to Donaire, this will be an epic match though I hope its not too late to place some bet.

This match took me by surprise. I really though Donaire already retired on his boxing career but again, we are privilege to see the Filipino Flash perform once again in the boxing ring.

I honestly have no clue about his opponent but I think Donaire can seized the victory due to his combined speed and power. Although he is past his prime now, I think he still has the fighting spirit that can yield him this victory.

His opponent does have 17 wins and 12 of it is KO which means this boxer is a power puncher so he should really be careful with that. Also got surprised that Donaire have upcoming  fight

and same as you precept that he's already retiring but we're wrong and now this one is a bit interesting but im still seeing for Donaire to win up this one.

putting some satoshis on donaire here. rooting for him to win on this match even if his opponent is younger than him. if he can KO Oubaali, that would be great. this is somewhat a redemption fight for him so i think he's prepared for this fight. if not, i don't know what will happen next to his career. maybe retirement if he can't win on this one.
If he cant win this one after the lost fight he had with Inoue then its just right that he would consider on retiring and stop and pursue other things but we cant be sure if he would do that after he lost this one
because if he does have the passion for boxing then consecutive loss wont be an enough thing for him to convinced on retiring. He's not really that old same as Pacquiao
but boxers arent getting younger and he had already proven out his greatness even though not as good as well known boxers out there but still considerable.

Betting for Nonito Donaire here <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Many got disappointed with Donaire considering his losing records but I still believe on this guy skills and I know he'll deliver the win this time. This can be an exciting match, they both have the skills and there's no huge age gap though Oubaali have a few matches compare to Donaire, I don't think this can affect his performance. I'm also rooting for Donaire on this match, its good to see him back on the boxing ring.

No more talks, no more technical analysis, - I should be biased here and "forget" the reason why the odd providers gave that odds.

I will put a stake for Nonito Donaire. This might be his last fight whatever the result.

In this fight, I will rely purely on Donaire's experience.

Oubaali's record is not even half of Nonito Donaire's record, he is a veteran and he has fought some of the tough names in the industry and if we are going to base it on their last fights, Donaire has a better one because he fights and lasted 12 rounds against the monster Inoue.
I'll go for Donaire here, he has the experience to beat Oubaali and I know he still don't want to retire now and believes he still has it.

In terms of age, there's no big difference but on experience, I guess Donaire has the edge here.

Oubaali is not as good as Inoue IMO, so Donaire has a huge chance here to pull an upset.

Maybe he can also work out some strategy on how to win without knocking out his opponent.
I mean, he should not always go for KO all the time, I understand it's his signature but he is not getting any younger, his power has reduced due to age.

Donaire here as well. I like the betting odds for him as it's very attractive.

I have confirmed with my sportsbook and Donaire is 3.05 at the moment.

So this one is worth to bet on Donaire if he wins. I hope he will show the same power when he fought Inoue. We don't know how they are prepared for this fight up until they are already inside the ring. Sometimes, it is the preparation that matters even if we say the opponent has very good record like Oubaali who has no loss yet.
Oubaali also fought as a co-main event of the Inoue - Donaire match, if Donaire can come out a performance like what he did in the Inoue match he has a good chance to defeat Oubaali is also a slugger but not to the class of Inoue, even though Donaire is the underdog here he has a good chance to win if he losses then it's time for him to think of retirement.

It will surely be a tough fight yet my bet goes to Donaire. Despite his previous fight result, I could still see his dedication for this and he's too determined to win this time. I've seen how he handled his matches and it wasn't easy for his opponents to knock him down. His punches are too strong and he also prepared well for this match despite being infected with the virus.

Oubaali must be good seeing he has no loss and impressive KO rate.

have no idea of him though. since i only knew donIre, i'd also bet for him. i like the way he box, and keeps distance between his opponent which viewer could really enjoy watching how he counterpunch. i didnt hear a commentator saying pacquaio is a knockout artist but i heard live a sports commentator donaire called being a knockout artist.

Yeah right, I'm also curios how this two fighter be affected by the virus and how it will reflect with the way they'll going to fight.

I go with Doniare as experienced wise he got a lot and giving him an opening he will knock you down as soon as possible, Oubaali needs
to throw solid punch and be more aggressive, for sure Donaire is aiming for something before he'll retire.
Rematch with Inoue is more possible if he win this fight, he's camp may attempt to call for another fight between them.

Donaire still has a lot left in him based on his last fight, he almost beat Inoue and he can still take big punches, Oubaali is a slugger but not as strong as Inoue, I'm sure this fight will end in knock out or stoppage as both fighters are not hesitant to engage and willing to go toe to toe, Donaire's counter-punching will give him a big edge.

Long overdue fight, makes me wonder again, we are more affected by the covid-19 virus? We have seen boxer affected by the virus and then losing the fight. i.e. Berchelt losing to Valdez and then Povetkin against Whyte.

So it will be interesting is more damage because of the virus since both of them have and then recovered. Oubaali is not a knock out artist, and then Donaire is the taller of the two, so height and reach for him as well. But Oubaali has good turtle like defense, and I would say awkward as well and then throws a lot of punches. But in any case, I can see Donaire pulling an early knock down, en route to a majority decision win.

Nordine Oubaali is one tough mofo, he be beat Inoue's brother if I'm not mistaken, good fight.

Yes he is the one and i think they are in the undercard for Inoue vs Donaire fight if my memory serves me right.

Yes, the odds is very attractive for Nonito Donaire, maybe the bookies forgot that he can still box with the best and can beat them so it's a easy call for boxing gamblers to really throw and slip a bet on Nonito, even though he is old, he can still pull that trigger, specially his left hook that drop a lot of fighters during his prime.

Very attractive and tempting indeed to be for the Filipino Flash as i think he still have some few tricks left in his bag lol. Considering the age gap which is not so far, there's a high probability that Donaire would upset Oubaali here. That left hook of Donaire have dropped many big names in the fast and almost cost Inoue his belt so Oubaali should watch out for that one.
