It's good to see Pacquiao back in the ring even though it's a promotion fight. It's obvious who will win in this match. I've seen a few videos of DK Yoo on youtube and had no idea he is a martial artist. As long as the fight's proceeds go somewhere else and it will benefit those who are in need it will be worth promoting. I am really not a fan of exhibition match since most boxer who does this do it for the money, take Mayweather and Logan Paul for instance. If you retire from boxing keep it as it is, stop for good and stop going back just to make some money. Not to mention most of it are scripted.

Well, even if he is a martial artist it will not help him to win because this exhibition fight is a boxing fight.

True, actually DK Yoo is at a disadvantage here because as a martial artist he is used to using different parts of the body like the elbow and knee.  He is also used to do stances like kicks, elbow attacks,  grappling, takedowns, etc.  In this boxing fight, DK Yoo is like a bird with clipped wings because he is forbidden to use the majority of his learned skills.  While Manny is able to use all his skill since he is a natural boxer by profession let alone a legendary boxer.

Somehow I have this picture in mind while I am talking about skill set between the two fighters in boxing.

Pacquiao retired because was already old but not old enough to dominate in this kind of exhibition fight. Admit it or not, this fight is only for the purpose of making money because if we really like to see an entertaining boxing fight, Pacman should only fight a retire professional boxer like him.

I also think that this exhibition fight is nowhere near a professional boxing fight.  They are here to entertain the viewers so it would be lame if they finish the bout as soon as the bell ring.  There might be an interesting exchange that may make the audience excited but I think it is part of the script.

A free taste that will last forever, do you guys remember how Hatton trash talk Pacquiao and when they meet inside the ring it just last for 2 rounds and Hatton got KO. Pacquiao got this attitude that can be triggered so even it's just an exhibition the so-called coach needs to choose words that he will going to throw to Pacquiao, else, he will experienced or he will know why Pacquiao became a legend in this sport..

Yeah, who wouldn't forget that trash talking him and Floyd Sr, making fun of Manny and then Pacquiao knocking him out called in the middle of the ring and that's it. He can't handle it mentally and so he quit, and went into depression. And speaking of him, he had a exhibition fight with Ricky Hatton.

As we have said already, many of these former champions are going into exhibitions, like Hatton vs Marco Antonio Barrera.

Pacquiao now will have DK Yoo and then his former sparring partner in Zayani next in Saudi, 2023.

This also reminds me of Antonio Margarito and Brandon Rios making fun of Manny Pacquiao.  Not only did Margarito trash talk Manny but somehow their action bully him and Roach even showed this image on their video making fun of Pacquiao

(Video link embedded)

Margarito and Rios made a lot of noise bullying and making fun of Pacquiao but in the end, it was a sweet revenge for Manny, not only he beats Margarito but he beat him to a pulp, and also he defeated Brandon Rios earning the respect of these two bullies.

Can't imagine how it will going to be like if Manny converts a solid combo with Yoo chin, might be a KO sleep for him..

That would happen if there's no script, but if there's a script that will be followed, Pacman is not gonna hurt Yoo in this fight for this to be exciting to watch. We know already who's gonna win, but for the sake of entertainment, they should make it a fight that is fun to watch, and that means no one will be seriously hurt.

Yes, certainly that won't happen at all because this is just a mere exhibition fight highlighting Manny Pacquiao's return on the limelight. If Pacquiao wants a pure challenge in the name of exhibition match and entertaining the audience, he would have seriously picked a more interesting fighter or boxer and not DK Yoo. This Korean coach or whatever he is, he should still be careful on choosing his words because Pacquiao might give him some free taste.

I also think the same,  I believe the fight is rigged and scripted.  I also think that they will do their expected job and do some staged exchange of punches.

This had me laughing! Grin I know that DK Yoo and Manny Pacquiao will do their respective jobs in marketing their future exhibition fight but this self-proclaimed Korean master of almost all martial arts should also know his boundaries and choose the right words because he surely doesn't want to be misinterpreted by Manny Pacquiao himself as that will bring embarrassment to him soon. I mean, seriously? Win with the jab? hehe.

Not bad for marketing hype purposes.  Looking at the boxing style of DK Yoo, I wonder how he can deliver a winning job against Manny Pacquiao.  This phrase "win with the jab" makes me imagine Manny getting KOed with DK Yoo's job  Grin.

Maybe this DK Yoo will get that taste too if he won't thread his words carefully because just like you said, even Pacquiao's friendly attitude got limits too. Hatton's frequent roasting of Pacquiao was a bit over the belt and way passed the boundaries at that time that's why we saw a much serious Manny Pacquiao who KO'd him in 2 rounds. I remember that it was dubbed as the knockout of the year Grin

Speaking of Ricky Hatton, saw a post earlier that he's facing Marco Antonio Barrera. Is that an exhibition fight too?

I do not think the trash talk things will escalate into a personal grudge.  Remember this is only an exhibition match,  probably DK Yoo is just hyping the match and he do that stuff to cater interest and attention from fans.  So that it won't suffer the same fate as the Silva-Paul exhibition match.

looking at the physique of the two fighters, I noticed a big difference, honestly I see Manny Pacquiao in this fight and I keep imagining a fight between a giant and a rat, I don't know how DK Yoo can be so convinced to the point of saying these things that only It's laughable, I and we all know that in the exhibition fight the fighters already have all the scripts, but I hope they're not fools to put DK Yoo as the winner of this fight, it would be the biggest absurdity. I personally would find it most absurd.

As this fight is a exhibition game then for both fighters will do their best to catch the attention of the audience and also the gamblers as well but in this fight I think that manny can still prove that once a legendary getting older the happier is he,, but Let's see in the fight time if he can win or not because as we all know that DK Yoo is one of the good boxer had a good strategies and movement as well.

DK Yoo doesn't need to be exaggerating in publicity, we know he wants to pay attention to buy tickets for the fight, but if he keeps talking exaggerations he can make people angry with him
This fight will be the famous fight with DKYoo as we all know that he will face the one and only 8 division champion in the world so for sure that DK yoo will do his best to maintain the audience keep supporting him and this fight because like you said that the more DK will keep talking more exaggerated words in the public then many audience will get angry for him and lead to unsupport the fight so  its better for DK too to keep silence and fight well in the final day.

Fighting out a legendary fighter even if this is the old Manny pacquiao but this guy do still have the speed and power which it doesnt mean that you could belittle him
or being too confident that you could beat up.

Well, this is an exhibition fight which it isnt really that surprising that matches been made is mostly on cross-sports.So it doesnt really give out that much interest on my part.

Pacquiao's last fight as a professional boxer was Aug 21, 2021. That is over a year now. I do not think that he still has the power and the speed that we used to know. Even in his last fight, he is already stiff and does not have the footwork that we used to see. This is just an exhibition match so I do not expect to see anything fancy or reminiscent of the previous glory of Pacquiao. I will watch this just for entertainment value and for being sentimental about seeing Manny Pacquiao in the ring again. But I do not expect very much because his opponent is not a real boxer.

Definitely true, the era of pacquiao was already over. It's been years when we saw him fight in his prime. I do not know also if Pacman has speed like before. I know that everything can happen and he is the only boxer who have eight division world champion. I know he can still fight but we should now expect that his agility, speed, footwork and power is still in his prime. Probably this will not be an aggressive fight and there is a high chance that we cannot see a knockout. Hoping to see his left hook and left uppercut again.

Exhibition that will give them decent amount of profits, I agree that he will just show some and even it's just some his opponent will still have a slim chance to win, though it's a scripted fight but might possible that they will allow some converted punches, just curious if Yoo are capable to take an accidental heavy punch from Manny.

Can't imagine how it will going to be like if Manny converts a solid combo with Yoo chin, might be a KO sleep for him..
Yes, that is the reason I still have the urge to watch this match. I want to see that accidental punch with Manny unable to control the power of it or DK's chin is just soft to handle it.  Cheesy
It doesn't matter if there's a need for payment in PPV, it's still entertainment and that's my only idea of how I can appreciate Manny with all the honor that he brought to the Filipino people.
DK should start preparing a strong abdomen and a thick face.
I heard stories that Manny's punches felt like stabs of a dagger.

It is normal to see Manny Pacquiao getting slower because he is already past his prime but even though he lost some speed, he is still quick on his feet.

Either way, if he's slow now or not, it doesn't matter on this exhibition match as they will just perform for entertainment. Speed or anything is not a factor since the output and result of this fight are already scripted at the beginning.

No way Manny Pacquiao will participate in exhibition matches that terms will be the same way as sanctioned real fights. If that's the case, then he should just comeback from retirement and continue his legacy.

Yes, but as fans, we are still in awe with Manny during his prime, that speed of his and the power and maybe there are still fans wanting to see the old Manny. But as you have said, this is a exhibition match, he could show his speed or not, but it doesn't matter. We should be entertain already just to see Manny again in the ring even if it is again a Youtuber that we know he can beat easily.

But let's see if this is scripted just like the rest of the exhibition matches that we have seen so far.

Most exhibition matches are indeed scripted from the very beginning. It's almost an open secret. Although not every exhibition match are really like that because professional boxers has still pride. Most of them still want to win by doing their usual ways in boxing as a refresher as form of relaxation as well from retirement.

The good thing here in their exhibition match is that there are people who will also benefit because the money Pacman would get will mostly go to charity. Despite his age, surely Pacquiao still has the moves. He may be past his prime, but the training and discipline instilled to him will surely remain despite being out of the ring.
