^ Yes, very good point, I think pro boxers getting into exhibitions match are not allowed to have their 5-10 lbs  boxing gloves because it will be fatal for their opponent as they are not pro.

And if I'm not mistaken, Manny during his prime as a pro is using Cleto made boxing gloves which is more of punching glove, meaning impact is big as Manny punch so hard. So just imagine if DK Yoo will take the full force of Manny having his Cleto, that will punishment.

Exactly! Exhibition fights are just pure entertainment with no meant harm to the boxers who will be participating the said fight and in this case, just like any other exhibition fights, judges will not be around because they have no purpose to record anything what's going on in the ring. Even if we turn upside down, the fight is 99.9% scripted, no matter what will they say to each other. They are just there to market the fight, no harm meant.

BUT, there's a but. A knockout is completely legal, so there's still a chance that we might see a much entertaining fight because the other camp will somehow retaliate because of that action.
People do not really realize how hard boxers can hit since we watch fights which last 12 rounds almost every week, however they hit so hard that a single punch would be all what it would be needed for most professional fighters to KO a regular person, and there are some boxers which are so strong that they can even KO during a sparring match even when their partner is using gear to protect themselves, so even if it is an exhibition match if Manny does not reduce the strength of his punches he could still KO his opponent even if that is not his intent, now it is unlikely this outcome would occur but it is still a possibility.

Recently, I've read an article about the rules whenever there's an exhibition fight and I've found out that boxers or fighters who will participate that said exhibition fight will have to wear a much bigger gloves so that the impact will be reduced and it won't give any marks on the boxers whenever they will be receiving some punches on their temple or face. But even with that rules, real professional boxers are still dangerous to someone like DK Yoo because they can still knock them out even if the gloves are different. Just a single blow, DK Yoo will be sleeping in the canvass if Manny Pacquiao will want it.

That's right apart from this the exhibition fight is for charity purposes.
I am a Pacman fan and I miss seeing him box again, for me seeing Pacman back in the ring is entertainment in itself.
After Pacman retires, Pacman fans will surely miss seeing him in the ring and in action again.
And I think for DK this fight will definitely boost his popularity on social media.
And what's more, this is a very rare opportunity for DK to fight one of the Pacman boxing legends.
I'm interested and can't wait to see how Pacman and DK will provide entertainment during this match.
I've missed him getting into the ring as well and that's why seeing him go back to his major craft in his early days is a good thing. After the presidential election, a lot have said that he should focus on his current post as a government official but then he just can't resist doing other things that he's done before and one of them is boxing. For DK, it's an advantage to him that he's able to have time and even box with Manny Pacquiao on this charity match.

Not just an advantage but it is an honor too to fight the one and only 8-Division World Champion and the legendary Manny Pacquiao, not all famous fighters and boxers can have the chance to box with a legendary boxer in the ring. Which also made me curious about DK Yoo, out of all famous fighters or boxers in South Korea, why him? Is he really that famous to attract audience apart from Manny Pacquiao himself?

I speculate that he is really famous in South Korea, or at least a lot of followers in his social media that Manny readily accepts to fight him this December. Or maybe he is connected that he has somewhat known Manny or at least very close to the Pacquiao to be able to secure a fight with him in his first exhibition match.

So yeah, take it as a honor and opportunity to be with in the ring with the legendary boxer. Not al have the privilege during Manny's professional career.

Promoters of the fight know for sure what they are doing, we might not know the reason but they won't make this fight happen if they will not make a lot of money. I have to admit that I don't know his opponent until this fight was announce, so I just hope it will not disappoint the fans as it's the first exhibition fight of Pacman after retirement.

This is an advantage for everybody except perhaps those who bought the ticket expecting that they are going to see the old fighter in Manny Pacquiao that is both hungry and ruthless. This is not a professional match. If one is thinking of Manny Pacquiao going after a knockout or a punishment of his opponent, he is probably wrong. This is as being said a charity match, just an exhibition to raise money and have fun. They are definitely not training very hard to hurt each other as badly as possible.

Not to hurt that much but who knows they will add some spice and allow free-fight exchange of punches, though I doubt because an accident may take place and knowing how deadly Pacquiao's punches if those solid punches will land in Yoo's face or in his critical area it might damage him a lot.

This fight is for the charity and expect that they will be more on sharing the ring to entertain and not to have a serious fight.

Fans will be happy seeing Pacquiao's presence, but better not to expect that much in terms of skill-sets it might not be practiced here.

If they wanted to truly entertain people then they must act as professional boxer above the ring and give everything they can like regular game because this is what people really wants.

This is interesting- so exhibition matches are 99% scripted? I always thought that exhibition matches show the prowess and skill of the boxer given that they are against amateurs who have little-to-no boxing skills at all. But then again, watching Manny Pacquiao on the ring again is definitely a privilege to see. His footwork and speed are just unmatchable compared to any boxer that I have seen!

Regardless whether this fight is scripted or not, I just want to witness again the art of boxing like what Pacquiao trademarked for. Getting him on the ring with someone would be an honor and watching him fight is just a feat that cannot be missed!

This would really be hard for his part which it is true that he would need to hold his punches and dont let his opponent be knocked out in first few seconds of 1st round. It would really be not worth for the money spent on
tickets for the fans who do love to see a boxing legend which he would be thinking on how to make his fans happy and contented or satisfied on what they do paid out.It would really be getting lots of criticisms
if this fight would only just last for a few seconds just because he had been hit up by a solid punch which a boxer could really made on.Its true that average or normal person cant really be able
to withstand on punches on where these boxers do made off specially on someone who had been known as a solid puncher.

But regardless, it was really good to see Manny and DK being chosen as his first exhibition opponent. So that's already a big money coming for him and maybe DK will still continue to fight in exhibition matches in the future, at least to earn some good money for him.
This will make him popular because he is fighting the only 8th time division world champion. Winning the fight is not necessary, but at least he just have to give his best to make it an entertaining one, it's just an exhibition game but it needs to be a clean fight where we will see a clear winner.

Or how they would be simply dancing inside the ring?  Cheesy

Exhibition matches are really that intended to bring up some entertainment into boxing fans and its true that this one would really be a good opportunity for Yoo
on boosting up his popularity which it would really be a win situation for him not inside the ring but getting or hooking up people to know about him.
Im not even hearing up his name until Pacquiao did really decide to have some exhibition match against him.
Im not really that having doubts on whose gonna win.Just wondering on how long he would be lasting out?

Are judges on this fight will be a celebrity? Not an actual official boxing judge?

If that so, this will really be a pure entertainment and that will make fans to enjoy more the show.

But if those are celebrities, I can't imagine how they will able to score a certain round hehe.
The referees hasn't been announced, so we don't know which will be the judges. But it must be from South Korea since the fight will happen here, they might biased to DK Yoo, but I think they will give a respect to Pacquiao. I think it's kind of humiliating if Pacquiao loss this match since this is the first match when he want to comeback in boxing scene. However there's no odds for this match, I'm just curious how much the odds for Pacquiao.

Yes, there are no referees being announced or who will be the judges in this fight. For sure, judges should be from South Korea, whether their celebrities as we all know that K-Pop is making headlines and taking the world, or probably ex-boxers or someone known in the boxing scene.

No odds as well, maybe they will released it once the fight is near or weeks before the actual fight.

And we all for now is that Manny will be the odds favorite.

That is the only two I've found after a few min of googling. I dont think any one big is going to add this fight in his boxing betting table. As the result is rather predictable and the fight, frankly speaking, isnt interesting at all. This looks more like a fun fight for locals, a sparring, or just a an event for raising funds for charity.

I think it's just for entertainment and obviously, Pacquiao still can execute powerful punches because he is not that old anyway, remember how he knockdown Algeiri? that one is really2x bad. I hope this is just mere entertainment, I cannot imagine if he does the same for this guy. I mean, he will wish that he has not approved this fight. Anyway, fighters like this dude already know the possible outcome if he actually gonna fight Pacquiao in real, he has all the necessary time to practice how to avoid those powerful punches and outspeed Pacquiao's jobs.
