I dug a little bit more on his background and an article have just made regarding his background because I bet there's a lot of people that are curious about him and his name keeps on popping on the search engines just to know his record because why would the legendary Manny Pacquiao will choose him if he's not that skillful to fight on. I found out that DK YOO is famous in South Korea as he used to do a lot of exhibition fights against known fighters in their country and surely this will be streamed by PPV, no doubt.

And this is DK Yoo's words against the Filipino champ as way to sell the fight more, usual words to market the fight but I do hope he can back his words Grin
Quote
DK Yoo has a bold prediction ahead of his exhibition fight with Manny Pacquiao in December. The Korean believes that he will ‘win with the jab’ against the experienced Filipino southpaw.
The Korean has been working on his jab in the Los Angeles gym and thinks Pacquiao will have no answer for this weapon.

Pacquiao will give a good lesson for DK Yoo that would make DK Yoo cry and regret what he done before, we're don't see any boxing skill from DK Yoo, IMO he's an amateur even though he's an martial art coach. Not all coach are have a good skills when he jump into a real fight, some people only can teach and share their knowledge.

Expect that because Manny Pacquiao will likely show no mercy against DK Yoo as he also wanted to have an explosive fight in his return in the ring. I reckon that the latter will not last long if Pacquiao will let him taste the true punch of a legendary boxer and to be honest, I think we will see a stoppage on this one because I really don't think that DK Yoo have some talent that can keep up with Manny Pacquiao's skills.

I like your point mate. Not all coaches can apply that same knowledge during the fight and besides, martial art is a way far from boxing. Though for a good exposures and ticket sales, Yoo as YouTube celeb can bring viewers and ticket buyers good enough to accomplish the reason why exhibition has been made, more about the money that both sides will collect.

We will see if the event will turn into an entertaining one. It will be a good basis if Pacquiao will gain more interest from his supporters and fans all over the world.

For sure we will see DK Yoo doing some weird moves because he is not that accustomed yet when it comes to fight in the boxing ring as first of all he is not a boxer, we may see some weird lifting of legs and feet because that is what he used to do and it's hard to remove that habit as it is already etched in their muscle memory.

Pacquiao promised a good entertaining fight that the people will likely forget it is just an exhibition fight, brace yourself folks because Pacman will be returning in the ring to make some action.

I'm assuming that Yoo is well-prepared accepting Manny's punches, I'm not sure if how it will be look like in terms of good entertainment, just wanted to quote it here that Manny aside from being a politics also enter movie industry, are we going to expect him to perform as a fighter or as actor that will provide entertainment here?

As fighter, oh well, not sure if Yoo can handle those solid combos of Manny, maybe 1-2 rounds if it's a real punch from Manny is enough for Yoo.

Let see if how these upcoming fights will be looking like, still aiming to see Manny to make some unexpected punches that will surprise Yoo..

Pacquiao will return as a boxer and that is for sure, and not as an actor even if this is just an exhibition fight. In fact, he already stated that it will be real fight that is why they are both training hard for this fight and we know that Pacquiao loves to entertain his fans in the boxing world that is why we can trust his words. Who wouldn't want an action fight, right? Seeing Pacquiao in the ring again will be a good sight that we shouldn't miss.

Anyway, to back-up my words that Pacquiao will return as a boxer, here's an article that I would like to share.

Manny Pacquiao vows ‘real fight’ vs DK Yoo

While Pacquiao and Yoo signed up for an exhibition on December 11 at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang, South Korea, the Filipino boxing legend promised a fight just like old times.

I doubt he will be prepared for Pacquiao's punches if Pacquiao actually put power into his punches. I saw a video of him fighting Bradley Scott(former MMA champ) on his youtube channel and people are mocking him for editing the video so much just to make him not look so bad in the fight. judging from that I doubt he can handle Pacquiao if Pacquiao made an effort to actually fight him seriously even at his age.

I think even pro boxers at 147 lbs can't handle Pacquaio's power even if he is no longer fighting pro. Pacquiao is different, he was really gifted that's why he brought up his power when he moves up to different division.

So yeah, DK Yoo, won't handle it for sure and Manny knows that. So he might hold something so as not to hurt the Korean. And obviously this is for entertainment purposes so we don't want someone to get hurt along the way. DK Yoo though is very lucky that Manny chooses him to be his dancing partner in Pacquiao's first exhibition match.

Its' not that Manny has retired for many years now, it just been like 2 years or less from his last fight. So definitely there is still some power left in him.

I followed him on his one social media account and yes he is very much active. The good thing is that him and Jinky are sort of training together, LOL. So both of them are trying to be active, the fight is still in December but Manny might have started his training his light training with Jinky herself.

Power its given he is known to that and he can still K.O his opponent but for sure we cannot see an intense fight since this is only an exhibition match. Maybe we can see slight action and for sure many fans expect that also many already predict that Pacman gonna win this fight since maybe the organizer design that one to be on his side since he has a legacy to protect.

Probably the last thing that a boxer losses is their punching power, they can lose their ability to take punishment, their psychical condition, their ability to avoid punches and their reflexes, but as long as they keep themselves in shape the punching power will always be there, as such I do not have any doubts that if Manny really wanted to make things difficult for Yoo he could do it by simply punching him with his full power.

Even Pacquiao is old and had been retired then i dont really believe that Yoo would really be giving a good damn fight.Of course MP would definitely be holding back his full power punches just to make

the show a little bit longer. He wont really be intending on finishing it out even though he had retired but we cant really still deny nor that ignore on Pacquiaos punching power which he's been known for.

They do really need up to dance inside the canvass and give out entertainment into those who had paid tickets and PPV's for the said fight or on that exhibition.

I still don't find any mixed martial fighter or boxer who want to challenge against Xu Xiaodong who's a Chinese MMA, he's really strong even though he's quite old. I think he's kind a fighter who doesn't want to accept exhibition fight, since he's doesn't like a rigged match.

I am surprised no one is talking about this here yet, I guess it's probably because no one really knows who DK Yoo is(even I don't know who he is).

Same as you, I don't even know who that DK Yoo is or what is his preferred sport. What I only know is this is just an exhibition fight that will be hold in the boxing ring. Also, I really don't find this match interesting at all because Manny Pacquiao's foe is not that known, it's just like Mayweather's opponents. But I will watch this fight because it's been a while since the last time I saw Pacquiao step foot on the ring to fight, hopefully, Pacquiao will fight someone veteran that is near his caliber. Hopefully!

For us, he is not popular, but since the fight will be held in DK Yoo's home country of South Korea then expect that it will be a sell out crowd locally for them. Not sure if this is going to be stream around the world as most of Manny's fight. But if it is, then there could be some fans that are willing to watch this fight because they missed Manny inside the ring and this is the second opportunity for us to see him once again, although this is just a exhibition fight. So good choice of opponent for Manny and good place to start his career in the exhibition world.

I dug a little bit more on his background and an article have just made regarding his background because I bet there's a lot of people that are curious about him and his name keeps on popping on the search engines just to know his record because why would the legendary Manny Pacquiao will choose him if he's not that skillful to fight on. Can't believe there are analysis involved in this match lol. Seriously?

It's really something that makes me laugh, but it's a good opportunity to make people laugh these guys who are doing analysis for this game they're having fun

It's 100% obvious that this is all about entertainment and both camps are surely talking with each other about how they will behave in the ring. Not reading the whole terms yet but this fight won't even have a declared winner at the end, or anyone can correct me on that. Regardless, the winner of this match is not that important.

I hope they at least have a serious fight where they strive and that the best fighter wins, now they agree on what type of punch, positions and techniques so they don't hurt me in the ring and the public who paid tickets to watch it, they in the ring they will be insulted, I think they don't want that, so at least they need to put in the effort in order to see a good fight. they don't need to get that big anger that all fighters have when they fight, because it's an exhibition fight, but they have to make an effort in the fight

As long as they fulfill their promise that part of their profit on this exhibition match will be for charity purposes, then it's good. That might be just the big reason for people to support and pay for tickets to this fight.

 Grin

I doubt most people are paying tickets because they are taking the money to charity, people like fights and are paying to watch fights even if it's exhibition fights

Mayweather already earning millions just by doing exhibition, I'm pretty sure that Manny sees that same opportunities to earn a lot even in his retired status.

It's easy for Manny to make millions through exhibition fights because he has the name, maybe the possibility of Pacman vs Conor McGregor will happen because I'm pretty sure Manny will agree since Conor McGregor is a big market, if Mayweather vs McGregor made huge money, that could happen to Manny too.
Any fight of exhibition is now possible. All of these legends are still marketable and promoters would want to focus on that too since there's a huge market that has been made from these type of matches.
Maybe after the next match of Pacquiao, not from DK Yoo but the other one next this match on February, IIRC and CMIIW. There could be some arrangements that Pacquiao could be for another exhibition match for the third time.

I wish Manny to stand in the ring again as Title Holder and will defend His title once again and not this kind of bout that only about exhibition and for benefits of need, I don;t mean tha the must not help others but  he is still young to fight for title.

and also this will bring DK Yoo into mainstream as he will be backed by the popularity of manny.

It won't gonna happen again because the guy had already reached his limit to fight a real boxer in the ring and I'm sure Manny already felt some lack of strength and speed due to his old age. He only can afford to fight the like of DK Yoo right now and maintain his popularity with these exhibition matches. It's not that bad because I'm sure in the future, if he won't take this fight right now, he will be ask to fight in the future.

As far as I know DK Yoo is already a popular figure in South Korean as evident of him being a youtube influencer and that is the main reason why Manny chooses him in the first place. So both of them will benefit in this fight, as the saying goes, it takes two to tango.

As for the belt, obviously, there is no title on the line, everything is for pure fun and entertainment. Manny is the pro boxer here and could win in this fight.

An exhibition match that will give entertainment to the fans, there's no belt that in stake logically because it's just for fun and both figure are not an active boxer, Manny will earn a lot here but if I'm not mistaken, he will bring portions of his earnings to his supported charity and so with Yoo. Fans that will watch this know that they will pay to see Pacquiao inside the ring once again, if this will succeed expect more from Pacquiao.

Mayweather already earning millions just by doing exhibition, I'm pretty sure that Manny sees that same opportunities to earn a lot even in his retired status.

I didn't know about this too. No ads or news came out on my social media or in my notifications yet. I guess that's because it is still far from the fight date.

Surely, they will let Manny win here to avoid defiling his protected career and reputation but I doubt the bookies will give a good amount for those who will take a bet for him.
The money will go for good so paying for PPV should be enough.

The news about this is not huge as last fights made by Pacquaio but there are several news outlet raising some updates about it and I don't expect to much on this since it's just exhibition match witch both of the fighters will not give 100% since there's nothing to lose with them. Although its good for DK Yoo to be the winner since this will add huge exposure to him but I don't think he can win between this match.

Or because this fight has no value. Besides sponsors and true fans, this fight does not attract anyone. Or because Manny (as he is the main star in this fight) is only doing it for the money. Like Floyd Mayweather exhibition fights - only few people know about it. Like his next fight against Deji Olatunji. I bet few people here knows who he is (25 y.o., a British digital content creator, actor, rapper, musician, and social media star from Watford, London). Because boxing fans does not care much about Floyd's or Manny's opponent.
