at his age, thinking about going back to fighting even if it's an exhibition fight and fundraising for donations is a very high risk, I wonder if people will really be watching this fight or if they will simply have little attention from people, how did they say that the money will be donated to ukraine will people just watch it because they believe it's a noble cause or because they thought the fight was really good? however this kind of exhibition fight only makes punters lose bets, does anyone know if the bookmakers will be putting this fight up for people to bet on? I personally wouldn't bet on this fight. but my guess would be that DK Yoo can win this fight, he is a self defense instructor, although also his age doesn't help much for fights, honestly why don't these guys like to retire?
I am surprised no one is talking about this here yet, I guess it's probably because no one really knows who DK Yoo is(even I don't know who he is).
anyway, Manny Pacquiao is having an exhibition match against DK Yoo in a boxing match on December 10. I am not that interested in who he is fighting but I'd still watch the fight because I want to see Pacquiao in the ring again. besides, Pacquiao said that he'd give us a "real fight"(he said in one of the articles I've read) which I hope he would actually do.
also, I saw in one of the articles that Proceeds from the event will be donated to the homeless in the Philippines and families affected in Ukraine.
Fighters like Manny Pacquiao are lucky because they can still do what they love doing after their retirement in the olden days you cannot do that, once you retire, the next thing that you can do is to become a trainer or manager, but because of the power of social media and the many promotions there are now a lot of exhibitions matches involving retired boxers, and they can still make money out of these exhibitions, and they are not going to hurt themselves.
this has become the only job in the world where you retire and go back to fights and you don't even get hurt because it's just exhibition fights and you still make a lot of money, it's just unbelievable. the guys even give themselves the luxury of fighting again years later and even when they are almost old they are back in the fights, I wonder how a rookie who is working hard to get media attention feels when he sees all the attention the media will give these exhibition fights
