26 - 4 in the poll in favor of Mike Tyson and I thought Jones will be the favorite because of his excellent movement in the ring and this is an exhibition match so Roy will just employ the hit and run tactics in the ring, but anyway whoever wins this match is good for the boxing world because they will be entertained.
I doubt Mike Tyson will approach this fight as a fun exhibition match and i am certain that he will be eyeing for a knockout in the first two rounds and Roy Jones Junior was a brilliant fighter who always maintains distance but the age is a factor as he will not be having those reflexes he had and he is not a one punch knockout fighter but that is not the case with Tyson as he will relay on his power rather than reflexes.

I hope it will end well for both guys since both are older anyway they have over a month of conditioning and preparation.
That is my primary concern as well because no matter how great these fighters have been in past this fight will come down to who can manage their cardio better and land more significant strikes.

I am not into boxing much but I have always heard the name of Mike in some article or the other and he looks humble in his interviews too from what I have seen, I just hope they both walk out alive and don't sustain any injury.

I would like to see a knock-out but then given their age and the popularity of this fight, I think all the rounds might be needed to decide the winner.

I voted Mike Tyson because he is a great fighter ever since on the boxing industry and it seems RJJ got zero votes at the moment.

An interesting fight of almost senior citizen fighters but still they wanted to fight, I don't know how the can manage themselves at this situation but as what Mike Tyson says, everything is alright they can manage their selves.

There are more open bets on Mike Tyson and it seems RJJ here was in the underdog situation. But let's see what will happen, it's too early to predict.
Actually mike Tyson looks stunningly in shape as you might want to check out his picture mentioned in this article - https://www.news.com.au/sport/boxing/mike-tyson-fight-announced-boxing-legend-locks-in-roy-jones-jr-date/news-story/9f17b1094400eaf4b91063b6f0818016

He looks absolutely in shape and ready to fight but maybe still he won't have the same sharpness that we used to see in his prime years. I also read that the boxing gloves will be bigger and they won't go for KO so this might be a slow paced 8-round match and while I see Mike Tyson winning but I don't think there is any reason to count Roy out given his great record and just because Tyson is most popular he is winning the poll and votes.

Updating odds for crypto bookies and as we can see Mike Tyson is now favorite in this fight:
https://bitedge.com/odds-comparisons/boxing/

I am not sure that Tyson after 15 years break from boxing can so easily beat boxer that retired 2 years ago.
My early bet on this fight would be that fight is going long distance, and I can't see any KO happening here.

Thanks for sharing mate, I can verify that the odds is available already in sportsbook, just check it with sportsbet.io already.

I screenshot the odds comparison from the site you shared, here, everyone, check this out.

note/ I'm getting 1.78 in sportsbet using a price boost.

The much awaited boxing match between Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Junior, although both of them are old but certainly entertaining.
Moreover, opening betting odds already exist, even though Jones Junior is a favorite. But I'm sure Mike Tyson will win the game.
Because Tyson is a boxing legend, so I'm sure Tyson has a good strategy to beat Jones Junior.

Mike Tyson will be the favourite here, he is the natural bigger guy between the two, although he is older, but he has posted a lot of vids lately about him trying to get back in shape. And if you guys don't remember, I'm the one you posted this: Tyson vs Holyfield Charity Fight. And I thought it will be against his rival Evander Holyfield. We don't know why the negotiations fell though.

I tried to find the possible reason, but can't find an article or news online about that, so maybe let's move on focus on this current fight which I think a good fight also. It's pretty obvious that if you ask people whom they will bet between these two fighters, it will be Tyson will be the answer.

Since this is just an exhibition fight, and they are already old, I think we might be a bit disappointed here if we are expecting a real fight like what we are seeing in a championship fights.

No, Roy Jones lost all his God given boxing talents, his speed, his reflex and everything. He doesn't have that movement that once he has. If you are going to look at this career, the last 5+ fights for him are really a disaster.

That's why I don't know why he accepted it, maybe just because this is just a charity fight. But if this is real, then Mike Tyson will destroy him. Just look at the how he talks, he already stutters, a sign that he had taken so much damage in his career.

Question. How can this be included in a sportbetting if both boxers will only play for an exhibition match? Isn't it that these matches can be subjected for manipulation since they only play just for fun?

Since it's still a boxing bout mate. Charity or exhibition, the match involves 2 of the greatest boxers in history so a betting will be open.

Some gamblers might also think of that but at the end of the match, there's a result so it now depends how good they are in picking.

Both are legends. It's not the basis for who will win.

It's now up to them how aggressive they are to snatch a win even for a exhibition match.

Rigged or not, it's still a fight. Therefore, on what any means, a bet will be up for entertainment purposes. It's now up to gamblers if they will ride the fun. Smiley

And I think they won't be playing literally just for fun even for an exhibition match. Knowing both these boxers, it's disrespectful for their legacy. They will fight seriously but with limitations since it's not a title match.

Evander Holyfield, the expected Tyson's first match out from retirement, is also putting up some efforts for his comeback. They will not just out for fun but I see it's a battle of ego.
Yeah, I think this is just for pure fun and I'm sure gamblers are going to be up with this one. Nothing is more fun that putting a good bet between the two and watch it with your friends. And I'm sure fans of both are not going to be shy to put their money on their fav boxers here.

I wouldn't, this is another opportunity for us who have not followed the journey of these two fighters in the past, though we are seeing an older version, but anything from Mike Tyson, I think it's worth allocating your time, as he is not a boring fighter.

One question, not related to the two.

I just want to ask what if Mayweather also have this kind of fight at 50+ I'm wondering if he still runs.

For people who doesnt know Mike Tyson and other boxing legends will surely not get too much interested with this  fight but for those who are aware on his greatness in  boxing career then they be surely eager to look up for this match. It might be different when hes still on its prime but he's still have that legendary punches.

About that off topic of yours then i would still have the same question in mind if he do still have the energy to run up in his 50+ age.  Grin

I'll go with the popular boxer here, I haven't followed his journey in boxing a lot, so to freshen my mind, I guess this one should be good for me.
Voting and betting for Mike Tyson to win the fight, I'm not gonna make further research here, I'll just pick according to my bias mind.

so let's crush this one out - https://www.essentiallysports.com/im-not-killing-myself-for-nobody-evander-holyfield-on-mike-tyson-blockbuster-boxing-news/

The very controversial fight where Mike bite the ear of Evander, who's not going to remember that. Mike have the very brutal killing punch but
Evander really knows how to play with him and out of frustrations Mike did this.
Moving back with his fight against Roy, he still have that power punch just the stamina
for both of them might be the winning factor.

I'll also vote for Mike Tyson. It's the name that I've been hearing since I was a kid. But with Roy Jones, he's also a great boxer with that record though I haven't followed his career. If this is just all about voting, Mike Tyson is my vote.

The same as me, I'll go with Mike on this match.
Mike is my chicken in that fight. Both of them are strong fighters, both of them have good records and both of them have knocked out a lot of boxers but Mike Tyson have the upper hand here. I saw his current training regime so basically he is in perfect shape. I'd like to see his upper cut and left hook that knocked a lot of professional boxers. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is really excited to see the fight.

There's no betting odds yet in crypto sportsbook, but we might see it available soon.

Mike Tyson is one of the legend in boxing, so it's not hard to sell the fight since they will only just sell for PPV, i'm just wondering how much is their target in millions, and this fight is not for fund raising anymore, but for their personal only, I wonder what happen to the fight for a cause thing.

We  know that boxing is a business and its just normal for boxer or promoters would really stash out some serious revenues from it but lets not always look into that particular part.

We cant really say on what their intentions but better to ignore it.As  you said this isnt a fund raising but we wouldnt know if they are really trying to raise up money for charity
on this exhibition match.

Also Mike tyson claimed that he will not pocket a penny came from on this fight. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/boxing/12213076/mike-tyson-boxing-roy-jones-jr-comeback/

That will be the disadvantage of RJJ here. But in any case, this fight is still interesting to watch. They both need training as supposedly they are already retired. Is it the money why they finally decided to have this fight?
The corona and the damages that caused pushed anyone to do the impossible and i think that is what is happening here, Mike Tyson wanted to raise money and he started training for a few months with coach Rafael Cordeiro who is the coach of many establish MMA fighters including Fabricio Werdum and then many fighter threw the hat to fight Tyson and Roy Jones got the opportunity.

Kinda late for the dream fight to happen, but yes it is still an interesting match-up.  This would be a difficult fight to asses since we don't know if the explosive punches of Mike Tyson is still there and if Roy Jones had reinforced his glass jaw.  If those two factors still remain
This is really not a dream fight but it is intriguing to see them fight, the explosiveness of Mike Tyson is there looking at the training videos but the glass jaw cannot be repaired once it is lost.

Tyson will have very huge advantage and possible early KO will be expected but this is an exhibition fight so who cares who'll win, I just hope that there will be no one get badly hurt in this fight.
The gambling house really cares about this fight as you can get huge bets for this fight and so it is a really serious business and even i hope no one gets really hurt.

Winding down.
This fight is just an exhibition fight which likely the amount of money gathered will go to charity. Fun to watch the fight, even though they won't go all out in this one. More likely there will be no knockout in this fight because the guys seem too old to knock each other out. I'm talking about these two when they are taking each other punches on the ring but if they punch us with that old hand they can still send us flying or knock us out to our deep slumber.

There was no charity mentioned in the article _ https://www.thewrap.com/mike-tyson-to-return-to-boxing-in-pay-per-view-fight-vs-roy-jones-jr/
It was only mentioned that the fight will be in PPV, so let's just expect that this fight is just like a regular fight where fighters and promoters make money, but the revenue here is only coming from PPV and probably some advertisements.

Mike's training is impressive, he looks doesn't get old. I've seen that training as well and I think if I'm the one that will spar with him, I won't even take up to a minute. I don't want to look down on Jones but this two are great boxers it is just that I've been hearing the name of Mike since I was a kid and even he's gotten old, he's still strong that's being shown on the videos of his trainings.
