As for me, Porter is not a good choice honestly for Spence but he has no choice and I believed he didn't want to risk fighting other good boxers at prime "for now" because he has a target next year.
However, Spence Jr. wants his next upcoming fight as a ticket for chances to face Manny Pacquaio. Since Pacquaio will not fight anymore this year and will dedicate the remaining time this year at the Senate, he is expected to make a comeback around May. Overall, Spence will have at least one more fight before his possible bout with Pacquaio "if the price is right".
Well then, if Porter will upset him at their upcoming match, then say goodbye for his desire to fight with Pacquiao.
Errol Spence is going to absolutely dominate Porter—not too excited for this fight to be honest, it's not even that competitive.
Porter already lost to Kell Brook, who got knocked out by Spence Jr ages ago. He's obviously two levels below Spence AT LEAST, so it should be an obvious knockout victory for Spence.

The picture already shown us the discrepancy in regards to height(reach) and the record as well,beating Mike Garcia recently gives him respect and more popularity .

In their one on one interview, Spence accused Porter of being a dirty fighter and that's in his face and in return Porter promises he will cut Spence face, this is going to be excited I thought these two fighters are good friends, it turn out they don't like each other at all

I guess at the end of the day they can still be friends. That's how Porter fights though, he gets over his opponent by using lots of "dirty" tactics but I'm sure Spence will be ready for it. So yes, Spence is the favourite because he has all the tools, specially his height, he is too big for a welterweight that's why he dominated with his superior wing spans and it's hard to get inside of him. So it will be interesting how Porter can go inside without being punished by Spence. Garcia though is just a ballooned 147 lbs it was a total mismatch. But Porter is a natural welter, big and strong so let's see how he is going to bully Spence here.
Spence is already tipping himself to carry the day. He is talking tough on the fight and looking forward to fight manny pacquiao as the next in line; excerpts from his interview,

What an odds for Porter.I might consider to put up some bets on him but my views on whose gonna win will be on Spence.Just like what been said above when it comes to fast jabs and reach,spence do have it and i love how he humbly said this line “I’m definitely not underestimating Shawn Porter,” but i do see different or the other way around with this words.lol
After seeing Spence beat Mickey Garcia unanimously, he earns the respect of boxing world, he really is a dominant fighter just like Crawford, I like Spence to win the fight but my hunch tells me Spence is the one going to come out the winner here, this fight will be more like the Spence Garcia fight, he will use his jab and quickness to get the win and probably the knockout.
