Still a win-win for Casimero even if the purse money is little to his taste.

He just need to look at the bright side and show everyone how brandish he is, but he can back up all this trash talking by making Butler his next victim and retain his belt for WBO.

And then the obvious fight that we all have been anticipating could be setup by his team on Naoya Inoue because that is his main target.
Yes, still a win situation for him. Whether he goes first with this match, Inoue might just do nothing and wait until he's all done with the challenger. We just hope that there's no new challenger that will block his way towards Inoue. That's the main event that we want to happen but while he's waiting for it, Casimero can have some warm-up despite the little money that his match has. It's totally fine while he's going for another preparation with his match for Inoue.

Making more wins or whatever fights that had been set up and able to defend the title which makes more even interesting and might really be ending up on fighting Inoue despite of these mandatory matches
that had been set out.Dont know about the money that they could able to gain on this one but it wouldnt really just matter and we dont know on whats up into their minds when it comes to the
plans or future steps that would be made. For now they would need to settle up things before they could proceed into possible match ups again specially for Casimero.

Take that as a simple token for him to catch closer to face Inoue. Once he wins this fight, it will be covered and all those highlights will be discussed from the boxing community. It's best for him to beat Butler with a KO. It's more enticing and more challenging
appear to Inoue.

In terms of prize money, that's really small, though hypes might bring more value to his name once he accomplished this one.
He can or his camp can call for much valuable fight, like you said, just take this one as good preparation for more exciting offers
to come.

Casimero has already caught the attention of Inoue, maybe not winning in a convincing way would do good for Casimero too so Inoue would feel that Casimero is not really that strong and he will finally sign a fight with him.  Smiley

Anyway, whatever Casimero do, it's up to him, what's important is to win this fight so we will see a potential big fight in this division early next year.

While sometimes the boxing organizations can get in the way of big fights I do not think this is the case here, there were a lot of talks about Casimero vs Inoue but since there was nothing solid the WBO stepped in and forced Casimero to fight Butler, I am sure that if evidence could be shown by Casimero or Inoue that an agreement was close to happen the WBO would have withdrawn the order and would let boxing fans watch the fight we wanted.

I don't know if they can show the proof of the contract or not, if they can, that would be good but if they are unable to do that, Casimero has to fight Butler because as he is under WBO he has to do what he is commanded to do. But I think the organization is aware of what the fans want, they surely know that we want a Casimero vs Inoue match, don't know why they are not hosting one.

The reason why I think is, because of the business model, maybe they want to establish a much higher profit and for this reason is that the WBO decided that way, of course they have many things to claim that they can give the fights that way , but we all know that in boxing what predominates is the amount of money so impressive that is handled, and according to the result they want to create more emotions from a Casimero Vs Inoue after a confrontation where possibly they give Inoue more opportunity to prepare, But for sure, for me if that fight of Casimero Vs Inoue goes, and that will be the highlight to close 2021.

Ok, so here is the official documents from WBO themselves:

So $100,000 is the minimum purse bids according to by-laws:

http://www.wboboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Purse-Bid-Rule.pdf

Maybe what they expecting is that other boxing promotional companies are going to try to outbid each other. But do the this fight long been overdue, almost a year in the making, maybe they have given just a couple of days for promoters to make a bid, and so Probellum has won the bid because there's no competition.

Boxing politics? yeah, purse bid is ridiculous, as a champion of the organization, they should have increased the purse bid so that it will somewhat be fair for Casimero.
That's how they see the value of the belt Casimero is holding, and I think Casimero should not mind that, what should be in his mind is to win and wait for the right timing to fight Inoue.

He might be receiving small purse in the past, but he has proven himself, defended the belt of WBO. Hopefully though, he wont' take this as disrespect to him and will go and fight Butler no matter how big or small the purse is.
He will take the fight though, no way he will just give up the belt that he work hard to achieve it, the purse maybe small for now, but once he gets a chance to fight with Inoue, that could probably be the biggest fight of his career.

^^ I just wondering what if Casimero and his team turn down the fight because they won't get any? I mean they will have to shoulder the bills travelling to England if the fight are going to be held there and then he needs to pay his trainer and every one around him helping to prepare the fight.

At least it will be -30% more on the purse his gonna get? Unless I'm wrong here?

And then again we have the benefit of the doubt since a new promoter will be handling this fight as we all know, the Triller debacle on the Lopez vs Kambosos fight?

If Casimero refuses then he will be strip on the belt because this is mandatory defense.

Then it will be Butler vs #2 of the WBO rankings to fight for the title.

So he doesn't have any options here but to follow the mandate and then simply beat Butler and then call out Inoue or Donaire for unification, and there could be a lot of money in the table that time.

That purse bid is ridiculous, I mean Casimero after all this time must deserve more money than that amount speculated in the bid. This whole thing is design for Casimero to give up that belt I think  Smiley but I don't think he would do that as he is used to receiving small purses before. The only thing he could do now is dispose of this Butler and hope for a shot against Inoue which is like winning a lottery if he could secure that.

If I'm not mistaken, $100k is the minimum bid set by WBO for this weight class. And as the weight class goes heavier and so is the minimum bid set forth by WBO.

And Probellum submitted $105,000 and with no other bidders, they easily won it and awarded by the WBO right away so that it will be push their right away.

So I guess Casimero will take this one, just go on and fight Butler and then wait for Inoue. For sure it will be a lottery as you have said since Inoue is one of the cash cow.

Casimero has no choice but to take this fight, he wants to fight Inoue, then he must continue winning as this fight is very important for him to continue to make a name in the US. He is really longing to fight for Inoue, but he should not take his challenger for granted as Butler also is a power puncher that could KO him if his strategy is not effective in this fight.

Ok here is the update,

Casimero-Butler: Probellum Wins WBO Purse Bid, Eyes December 11 In Dubai Or Liverpool

Quote
Probellum won with a submission of $105,000, just above the minimum $100,000 bid requirement set by the WBO. The new company—represented at the purse bid by local promoter Peter Rivera—aims to present the bout as part of a December 11 event to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates or in Liverpool, England. Casimero is entitled to 75% of the winning bid ($78,750) as the defending champion, while Butler is due the remaining 25% ($26,250) as the mandatory challenger.

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-butler-probellum-wins-wbo-purse-bid-eyes-december-11-dubai-liverpool--161059

So a new boxing management/promoter has won the bid, but damn the money and the purse is not the biggest out there. Anyway, Let's hope everything runs smooth here, Casimero will need to travel again to defend his belt against Butler, in his hometown.

Casimero though is familiar with this, going on his opponent's turf and then totally destroying them.
It's still a bid and we may see an increase with the money that they've bidded. We're all in for Casimero on this match.

So he doesn't have any options here but to follow the mandate and then simply beat Butler and then call out Inoue or Donaire for unification, and there could be a lot of money in the table that time.
Yeah, and this guy doesn't move back to any opponent afaik.

Not the biggest but not bad considering that most countries are not yet allowed to large gatherings. So don't know wherever they will hold this event, the gate purse may not be optimized as they need to follow some health protocols. And if Casimero will win on this fight, he may get higher purse if in case his fight with Inoue will happen. But of course, Inoue will get the higher percentage of the purse.

Same here, if both camps have that contract, the organization would not go and ask for this mandatory fight. But there's none and since Casimero is still under them, this mandatory fight against Butler has been setup. More on money making to me and also another good drama to hype Casimiro's name.
If he does wins this fight, Arum may see good money with the fans who show an interest in this fight.

Questions does really have in mind on how the heck the organization would mandate out those fights which is totally not been on demand and instead they do go for some boxer instead.
Some had post up some links or made out some explanation about mandatory fights and yes its understandable because we cant really just presume fight according on boxers interest
or personal views and likes. There would be always a process on to whom they would fight for.
