There's a rumor that there is an internal conflict between Casimero and his management team, the MP Promotions. If only MPP did participate on the purse bid then somehow the money that will go to Casimero would likely be bigger than this. It's just awkward that there is only one promotional company (Probellum) that participated in that bid.

Though Casimero will get a 70% share of the pie i think that's too small for setting up for training camp, pay for hotels, and airfare as words had it that he will be on his own for this fight unless things with his boss will be iron out.

I do hope that this rumour is not true. We all know how supportive MP specially on fighters like Casimero.

Yeah, as I have said before, even if he gets the lion share, still very small and there could be -30% of the paycheck or even higher. That's why I asked the question of whether he should accept the fight or not. Nevertheless he has everything to lose if he decided not to so he should go and keep on winning.

I follow his social media account  Grin to get updates from him directly bro and with that matter, he said on Facebook that he will not give up the belt and he will take this fight. The good thing is, it is campaigning time for the presidential election and I don't think Manny will turn his back on him as votes from the Casimero family will turn to waste if he does that lol.

Kidding aside, yeah Manny will help as long as Casimero is willing to sit down and throw his pride and ego aside. I'm in the process now on what really happen that causes this internal conflict.

I'm glad to hear that it came directly from his mouth that he is not going to give up the belt. After all, he really work hard for it, and eventually got it the hard way.

Sean Gibbons is Casimero's manager and probably everything Casimero might said will reach their boss Manny Pacquiao. And for sure, maybe it hurt his ego a bit seeing the amount of money he will get, but probably it has been explain to him by the team. Looking at the bigger picture, winning over Butler will give him Inoue, and that's where the money will flow on John Riel's pocket.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man

MP promotion gave him an opportunity to be popular in the US, so I don't think he will turn his back on Manny, this is just one fight and he still has more fight after this, all Casimero has to do is beat Butler and then challenge Inoue again and make that fight happen.

As a fan, our discussion should focus on who our favorite fighter will fight, the money issue should be set aside as it will only make this sport more about money instead of more about pride and be the best in boxing.

I'm okay with what you have said. Better to let this discussion be focus with this incoming fight,

The amount of money that in stake is not big, and we know that already no need to discuss further.
It's just another fight for Casimero to win,

then make more trash talks to encourage Inoue to push his camp and sign the deal between him and Inoue,
or if MP promotions choose the other side, it's also possible to call for another Pinoy boxer.

Donaire's camp shows interest. He's now willing to face Casimero. That's also a good and
interesting if Inoue's camp still not going to take the fight.

So that's the main reason why the bidding for this match isn't that much and he's fine doing it for the sake of others that he's helping and there's a little benefit for Casimero to fight this match?
What a noble man.

I don't know it's probably the smallest paycheck of Casimero under his champion status now, but you are right, he cannot say no to this fight as this is a mandatory fight as his belt is at stake here and he can't afford to lose it without a fight.

Still a win-win for Casimero even if the purse money is little to his taste.

He just need to look at the bright side and show everyone how brandish he is, but he can back up all this trash talking by making Butler his next victim and retain his belt for WBO.

And then the obvious fight that we all have been anticipating could be setup by his team on Naoya Inoue because that is his main target.
Yes, still a win situation for him. Whether he goes first with this match, Inoue might just do nothing and wait until he's all done with the challenger.

Inoue might be rooting for Butler. But the chance are high that Casimero might go through Butler and then we wait for Naoya to respond.
Inoue has already responded and he's good to have a match against Casimero. It just so happened that Casimero has to defend his title because there's a challenger. Casimero even said a specific date for their possible fight night.

We just hope that there's no new challenger that will block his way towards Inoue. That's the main event that we want to happen but while he's waiting for it, Casimero can have some warm-up despite the little money that his match has. It's totally fine while he's going for another preparation with his match for Inoue.

Hopefully, Butler won't derail future mega fights in the division. No kind of Usyk upset, Casimero better not underestimate Butler also, so that he can warm up in this fight and then prepare for Inoue next year.
Yeah, both fighters should look at the best potential that they can make by not looking down at both sides. It's all about preparation and being careful by not underestimating their opponents.

I will fight even if I don’t have the proper support! that's what Casimero posted on his Facebook account, this is really a big disappointment for Casimero, considering that he is already considered a top-level fighter, but I'm sure he will do better than his previous fights only to show that he is a worthy opponent for any big fights and deserves a much big prize rewards, I hope he wins this one people wants to see him fight Inoue or Donaire.

He knows his value and with that post he just simply getting the sympathy of those fans who still follow him after those trash talks that he throws to Inoue. There are still many hopes that the fight happen he just need to be accomplished this one and put more value to his name, mandatory fights is being called simply because of money, the organization needs to have some slice from the fighters and bringing this kind of event will probably give them dollars.

Inoue or Donaire, the man is willing to take one of these two stars. He wanted to prove that he deserves his place now and wanted to add
more to his boxing career.

Wait for little more and we will see those possible fights to happen. Casimero just need to keep winning.

There's still no exact date right?

No official date yet but they are eyeing December 11 In Dubai Or Liverpool, Casimero is ok on both venues, we all know Casimero is a journeyman who prefers to fight in his opponent's territory and always knocks out his opponent in front of his country, remembers what he did in Argentina he is a survivor of this

Quote
Johnriel Casimero and members of his team were kicked and assaulted when fans hurled chairs and stormed the ring following his 10th-round knockout of local fighter Luis Alberto Lazarte in the IBF junior flyweight championship in Mar del Plata.

Though we are really expecting for Casimero vs. Inoue anticipated fight to happen I think this time a Casimero vs. Butler fight is still worth to bet for and for sure it is a good fight to watch for.

It's a good watch. If Casimero won't pass Butler, there's no Inoue now. Boxing is a tier-level competition. Finished and defeat all boxers assigned then go into the final stage defeating the top 1. Here only in the thread we see disappointment about that match-up but Casimero himself or even people in social media are not even affected that the Inoue match will not come this year.
I don't know what social media you follow, but on the group, I'm in, people are disappointed that the Inoue vs Casimero supposed fight did not happen. Casimero did an excellent job of trash-talking Inoue and he accepted the challenge, in fact, he wants to fight Casimero this year, but then we have this year, so it's not possible this year anymore.

There's still no exact date right?
Non yet, but it's probably early next year.

^^ Good point, makes me wonder though, why MP promotions didn't bid on the purse? hmm.

Anyway, this is just a rumor, but usually though the practice is that at least the promotional company specially of the champion should bid so that the money will be all inside. A tactic used by Top Rank specially during the high of Pacquiao's career. Hopefully this won't affect Casimero's performance against Butler and should win easily.

^^ I just wondering what if Casimero and his team turn down the fight because they won't get any? I mean they will have to shoulder the bills travelling to England if the fight are going to be held there and then he needs to pay his trainer and every one around him helping to prepare the fight.

At least it will be -30% more on the purse his gonna get? Unless I'm wrong here?

And then again we have the benefit of the doubt since a new promoter will be handling this fight as we all know, the Triller debacle on the Lopez vs Kambosos fight?

If Casimero refuses then he will be strip on the belt because this is mandatory defense.

Then it will be Butler vs #2 of the WBO rankings to fight for the title.

So he doesn't have any options here but to follow the mandate and then simply beat Butler and then call out Inoue or Donaire for unification, and there could be a lot of money in the table that time.

That purse bid is ridiculous, I mean Casimero after all this time must deserve more money than that amount speculated in the bid. This whole thing is design for Casimero to give up that belt I think  Smiley but I don't think he would do that as he is used to receiving small purses before. The only thing he could do now is dispose of this Butler and hope for a shot against Inoue which is like winning a lottery if he could secure that.

Boxing politics? yeah, purse bid is ridiculous, as a champion of the organization, they should have increased the purse bid so that it will somewhat be fair for Casimero.

He might be receiving small purse in the past, but he has proven himself, defended the belt of WBO. Hopefully though, he wont' take this as disrespect to him and will go and fight Butler no matter how big or small the purse is.

Casimero has already caught the attention of Inoue, maybe not winning in a convincing way would do good for Casimero too so Inoue would feel that Casimero is not really that strong and he will finally sign a fight with him.  Smiley
I doubt that there's this feeling whether Casimero wins by unanimous decision and with a not impressive ko.

These are professionals and they always take their opponents very seriously.

Nah, I don't think it was intentional for WBO to setup their bantamweight champion and give up the belt. Maybe they were caught by surprised that Casimero coming into the picture demolished their champion an then defend it.

That's right, he need to dispose Butler with KO, and with that, Inoue can't run from him anymore. And for sure, he might get 10x of what he will get in the Butler fight.

There's no such thinking like that. There's also no such thing as Casimero caught the attention of Inoue because in the first place, it's already happened as they are supposed to face off last year but their match got suspended. Let's not focus first on Casimero vs Inoue because that was too far from happening even after the fight against Butler. Butler isn't an easy guy to deal with.
