Both of boxer are indeed professional and experienced, but Porter has 2 disadvantages here he need to fight with southpaw stance while his stance is orthodox and he's a underdog here. Porter should be careful of Crawford's left jab, he need to learn how to use his right hand to block Crawford's left punch and also find the moment to punch him.

I guess Porter doesn't have high chance to beat Crawford, so I'll pick Crawford for this fight.

This won't be a boring fight for sure, I can see this as a close fight where Crawford's defense will be tested.

It's like a Crawford vs Horn's fight, but a better version of Horn because Shawn Porter is a boxer and a brawler at the same time which is very durable.
I like to see the betting odds please, anyone already has an idea what's the betting odds of this fight?

I also believe that it wouldn't be a boring fight because I've seen the previous matches of these two and they have a huge potential to make a good name in the boxing industry. Crawford is quite aggressive during his previous fights so I'm looking forward to their exciting match this time.

^^ The betting odds might not reflect the fight though, Porter is a very tough fighter Obviously, we understand were the bookies are coming from, Crawford has 0 lost and the champion. But this fight is going to be very close. I'm expecting Porter to really put a lot of pressure and putting his head on Crawford's chest in this match. Will go toe to toe, but there will be a lot of hugging, but this is a strategy that Porter will used to stop Crawford's momentum and put his weight around him to get him tired.

That's his strategies against big fighters and he has success and failure doing that like his fight against Ugas and Spence, I expect him to come out smoking and bring the fight to Crawford, but Crawford is so good he has fought fighters like Porter, he is one of the best counter punchers in boxing this is going to be a close fight, Porter needs to watch Crawford's left hook, he is so good at delivering that hook.

Contrary to what people think, I believe that Shawn is going to bring hell down. He has physical strength better than Crawford who I think is overrated. Shawn is the underdog and will take Crawford down i don't know what round though. It's going to be a tough one, let's see how it goes.

Exactly, this dude is a physical specimen and thanks you his genetics he is very powerful at 147 lbs. I still vividly remember a picture with him and Pacquiao in a training camp, he used to be a sparring partner of Manny back then when he was training with Miguel Cotto. So he is big and powerful and very underrated and obviously will be the live underdog in his fight against Crawford. But I'm not sure if he can bring down Crawford, Terrence on the other hand is very smart in avoiding big punchers.

This seems to be the consensus. The record and status of Crawford makes him the favorite but Porter should not be counted out. His unorthodox style tends to give everyone problems. The biggest fights Porter has been in, against Spence and Thurman, there was only a difference of a few rounds that decided the outcome.

The Spence fight was like 2-3 rounds difference, of course there is a knock down in the fight and it was the break that needed by Spence because he was behind the judges scorecard if I'm not mistaken before the knock down. In the Thurman fight it was also a great battle, so his style will really give Crawford a lot of problems even if he switch stance because Porter are not going to stop but will keep the phase on a high level.

2 weeks after the Caleb Plant - Canelo Alvarez fight, we will see another great fight in Crawford and Porter.

So many great fights to close out the year. The Fury vs. Wilder fight is also a few weeks earlier. Unfortunately they are all paywalled through pay-per-view, which means if you want to watch them all you will have to pay over $200 for all three events.

Well, we all know already that Crawford will have be the favorite here because he is the champion and at the same time he is also undefeated but the differences between these 2 aren't that far since both of them are good players. If you are a bettor, think twice Cheesy. We've already saw the Pacquiao-Ugas fight where many are betting Pacquiao as the winner but it didn't happen. I'm not saying that this will happen here but still, there is a chance for the underdog to win. A punch can change everything. Smiley

I have the feeling that sportsbooks will slightly favor Crawford here. But the gap of odds may not be wide. I am hoping that we will really see a toe-to-toe fight here, both fighters have the same age so there's no question about being older or younger here. It is how they prepare now for this fight and their fighting technique inside the ring. Southpaw vs Orthodox, who will win?

With zero loss record, yup Crawford will be the favourite I think but not that wide though.

I agree, the odds should be close, but we don't know how sports bookies are going to open the betting line.

If the odds released by betja sportsbook, as shown by tippytoes below, turn out to be not so different from the odds of other sportsbooks, then we will not be expecting a close one. I am expecting that when the odds are released by other sportsbooks, Crawford's would not go above 1.40. So as per the odds, at the least the opening, this is more or less a lop-sided battle.

This is rather expected. Crawford is undefeated while Porter is not. Since 2017, not a single opponent of Crawford has gone the distance. They're either KOed or stopped by the corner. On the contrary, Porter's last KO win was in 2017.

The parameter that we can use on this fight is Kell Brook, Brook fought these two fighters, he lost against Crawford via technical knock out he took a serious beating in round 4 before the referee stop the fight you can watch the match here
Terence Crawford vs Kell Brook - HIGHLIGHTS

Against Porter he won via decision, Porter, as was expected, was very aggressive in this match but Brook proves to be a good counter puncher
and hurt Porter in some rounds you can watch the video here
Kell Brook vs Shaun Porter Highlights IBF world title

They say style makes the fight so this is going to be an action-packed battle but Crawford will be the favorite to win here but we know Porter he can hold his ground and if he does better he can pull out an upset.

2 weeks after the Caleb Plant - Canelo Alvarez fight, we will see another great fight in Crawford and Porter.

Right, we will see another great fight after that event,

and those who lose their bets from that fight will have a good chance to try another one and see if luck will allow them to recover
their losses, for sure many bettors will have that interest to pick their fighters and place a good amount of bets on this fight.

Well, we all know already that Crawford will have be the favorite here because he is the champion and at the same time he is also undefeated but the differences between these 2 aren't that far since both of them are good players.

By reading all the replies and checking the stats of Porter, it's easy to agree to what you are saying. It's not an easy
fight for Crawford, and since he's defending his title, Porter will be more aggressive in trying to steal that belt.

If you are a bettor, think twice Cheesy. We've already saw the Pacquiao-Ugas fight where many are betting Pacquiao as the winner but it didn't happen. I'm not saying that this will happen here but still, there is a chance for the underdog to win. A punch can change everything. Smiley

Lesson learned, best to review the both sides and not just to rely on all the hypes and how bookies place the odds.

Though his fight record is a little bit few and has not faced big names in the welterweight, I consider Terrence Crawford the ace in this division (many might disagree but it is just me thinking).

Yes, him and Errol Spence are the aces, and we also wanted to see that fight to happen.

This might be the first of many fights we see Crawford fighting popular fighters.

Hopefully, Top Rank doesn't have a good stable as far as welterweight goes. All of the best welterweight we have are under Al Haymon and PBC. If they can make this fight, then probably they can sit again and line up fighters for Crawford like Spence, Thurman, Ugas or Danny Garcia in the next 2-3 years.

If you are rooting for Shawn, the odds are very good as the bookies are favoring Crawford here. In betja sportsbook, it is x4.20 if you bet on Shawn. I thought the odds will be not this wide, but it may still change once the fight is near.

We will finally see Crawford against an elite welterweight. Porter is a rugged fighter who has had some close decisions against top fighters like Spence and Thurman. He has the ability to pull off an upset so if the odds are attractive enough it might be worth putting a bet on him.
I think he will be able to pull it off although this isn't that big of a fight given that he had a chance with Pacquiao or that Pacquiao ducked the opportunity to fight him but either way, it's not that big of a stage for him compared to Pacquaio.

Nice fight and I think it will end as soon as expected since both fighters are known for their power and knock-out record. Both are still in their prime and I think Crawford has some slight advantage due to his clean record. Although Porter is the underdog, he has a high chance to win this fight because of his power and strategy. Is this also their first fight this year? then it's was a long time for both of them. I hope they still both have their power when they step in the ring.

Handicaps will be the best options for us, to get a get odds, maybe by decision or by knock out.

But I'm not seeing any knock out here, perhaps a decision win by Crawford as I also favoured him to narrowly win against Porter.

Although Porter is pressure fighter, Crawford is good at adjusting as well and that's one thing I like about this fighter, very cerebral.

Both fighters have a good knock out percentage, and they are capable of pulling out a knock, there's a possibility of a knockout, we all know both fighters are patient and do not force a knockout, and since they both like to engage, there will be an opening or opportunity for both of them to get a knockout, I expect fireworks on these two exciting fighters.

This is going to be a tough call for most bettors. I'll have to wait and watch clips of their training and interviews before putting my money. I'm also favoring Crawford to win as of now but if the odds remain as is, I'll probably take a shot on the huge underdog or some handicaps/specials.

Although the stats are close, Crawford is a fighter that has clear advantages on records and fighters he fought, I don't belittle Porter, he is a tough fighter who deserves a title, people love to see him fight because his style is what people want to see loves to engage aggressively, I like him when he fought Spence he box likes it's his last fight, the fight could go either way but Crawford has an advantage here.

I beg to disagree on the boxers they fought, Porter seems to have the better resume fighting Spence Jr, Thurman which he lost. He then have a win against Ugas, Danny Garcia. Who on Crawford resume could even match Ugas or Danny Garcia?

But I believed that Crawford will be the favoured boxer as far as betting. But he will be facing a real welterweight with good power, and also a pressure fighter. Probably Crawford by decision 7-5 or or even 8-4 rounds advantage.
