Maybe people are considering Crawford as favorite here because the odds from sportsbooks are clear that they are heavily favoring Crawford to win this match. Just look at the odds, 1.x vs 4.x, in favor of Crawford. So, these numbers are saying that they are rooting for Crawford to win on this match. Porter is underdog and the odds are good if you want to place a bet on him. At least, your money will increase several times if there will be an upset.

Crawford has a higher chance to win this fight since he hasn't been suffered any losses especially with a kind of opponent like Shawn Porter. Like any other boxers who haven't been lost, I think their opponent needs to give them a hard time just by the start of the rounds. Crawford is not known for his power punches but he has some deadly technique which makes him win this fight easily if Shawn doesn't have any solid strategy to give in this upcoming fight.

Shawn's strategy is to really bring the fight to Terrence. From the first round he is going to be the aggressor and then go with volume puncher. It might not hit Crawford straight in the jaw, but for sure makes him uncomfortable, just like what Shawn did to Spence, as he push him to the limit. And also the same with the Ugas fight, just going at Ugas and he won by a decision. So I think that will be his main strategy in this fight.

This fight could be close and could extend to 12 rounds and going to be back and forth fight. With no clear winner. That's how I see it, to go the judges to settle the winner.

If this fight goes to the judges' scorecards, I can see that there is already a clear winner as that means Crawford was able to take the punches of Porter and we know that Crawford base is the better boxer based on the previous matches and that is his advantage on why I believe that he will win.

IMO, it would be fun to watch if someone will be knockdown, I still have a hangover on the Wilder vs Fury fight, I like that scenario of fight to be seen in this fight.

Crawford could dominate but Porter is a different animal, he hasn't been knocking out in a fight yet and his losses were against the best fighters in the division. I would also not expect a KO, but probably if Crawford knows how to dance with Porter, he will still win by an Unanimous decision after 12 rounds.

Of the last two fights of Porter against Thurman and Spence, I see that he remains consistent with his style, his opponents just have better skills than him so he lose. Anyway, time for him to test the skills of Crawford, and let's see if he could handle the pressure of Porter.

Both Crawford and Porter do have that punch that can put them on KO. They are both in-fighter and that's their specialty. I don't consider Crawford as a favorite and dominant on that fight as Porter is also the same. This fight is unpredictable. Even Crawford seems to have an advantage, we can't just treat Porter as an underdog.

Maybe accumulation of punches, not not one punch ko that will put them to sleep. Both of them are not well know power punchers. If paper Crawford could be the favourite because he has no lost so far and the champion. But Porter as well has become a champion in the past and fought a lot of great WW.

Hard to bet on this close match at any betting options. Need a deep analysis unless choosing based on favorites.

Crawford is the favourite here, yes, he is undefeated but he himself admit that it will be going to be a hard match because he hasn't seen a fighter like Porter. So he is well prepared but so is Shawn who also talks about bringing the best version of him against Crawford.

I doubt though that he can knock out Crawford in the first couple of rounds. This will be a hard and grind fight which favours Porter. There could be very close rounds that is hard to judge or score.

Crawford is the crowd favorite here because of his undefeated record (37-0 and 28KO) and it is such an amazing record to be honest and the talent that this boxer has was unquestionable too, excellent jab, power, ring IQ and killer instinct are his main assets inside the ring but Shawn Porter was also claiming that he is already a well-experienced fighter that Terence Crawford shouldn't have to take easily. This will be an anticipated fight between the two strong fighter but this time I'll go bet on Crawford instead.

You are right, but he was well protected by Bob Arum that he hasn't face another tough opposition after getting the belt from Jeff Horn. And that's why boxing critics has been asking him to fight higher quality opponents to really show how great he is as you describe, specially his ring IQ. But it will be tough for him against an also experience Porter who has been with the best in the ring. It could be Crawford that would win this fight but I'm not expecting hi to knock out Porter

If it goes to 12 rounds, Crawford will likely win, I hope Porter knows that os he will work hard and find a way to KO Crawford early. I know it's unlikely as Crawford is undefeated, but Porter always gives a tough fight on the fighters that beat him in his boxing career.
His work ethics is like that, he works very hard every fight and sometimes you think that his style in really awkward because he is a brawler. But he manage it very well, very effective and even won against the Manny conqueror and then Danny Garcia. So expect another tough fight for Crawford. He won't back up for sure because he wanted to proved that he is the best welterweight. But he need to pass the test first against a rugged fighter in Porter.

This should be a hard match for both the players but I bet that Crawford will be able to defend his title for the 6th straight time (if I'm not mistaken). Crawford has insane statistics of winning 37 games and losing none and having 27 knockouts. That's some incredible stat out there. Unless Porter tries to finish the game early, he will barely have any chance to survive this match. Either he will knockout Crawford within the first couple of rounds or he loses, it's as easy as that.

If Crawford can't slow down Porter, then expect that he will get tired in the later rounds as Porter does not get tired, he keeps attacking like a bull to make his opponent tired. That's his style, he doesn't have a fancy style in boxing, he is easy to predict but it's hard to knock him out, the chance of Crawford here if he can't knock out Porter, is he should use his boxing skills wisely, he'll win in the judges scorecards.

If Porter will be smart and fully prepared on this fight, he will give a very good toe-to-toe fight with Crawford, who is the heavy favorite on this match.
He always give a toe to toe fight to his opponent, I did not see a fight that Porter is not the aggressor, he is always in attack mode and if his opponent gets tired, that's the time he will take advantage to it.

So Crawford should really be prepared as well as not to lose that 0 record. For sure, Porter would not come inside the ring without a plan and just let Crawford dominate the fight. He is the challenger so let us see if he will be the aggressive one on this bout.
Porter has fought champions although he loses in the fight but he was never KO.

Against Errol Spence Jr, it was a split decision and against Thurman, it's a UD. So KO will not happen here as both Thurman and Spence are great boxers but they were not able to KO Porter. Terrence will use his quickness, his advanced boxing skills, but will be careful as he might get hurt and will experience his first loss.

This fight will risk the WBO Welterweight title belongs to crawford, I think in that fight Crawford clearly has a lot of advantages over porters, apart from an unbeaten boxer, Crawford will also of course try hard to defend his WBO title so that then he has a chance to fight spencer later, while Porter will certainly use the fight as an opportunity to show his quality and experience so far, although both boxers have their respective advantages in fighting, I personally predict that Crawford will be able to knock out Porter in that fight and also defend his title.
We do have different opinions, but for me, I just wanted to see an entertaining fight. Like all the fans wanted to see, knowing what type of fighter Porter is, Crawford needs to come up with the same intensity. Hopefully, it won't be like more on defense, but with good tactics, both can fight aggressively.
You mentioned it, Porter needs this exposure again. He's been given a chance to showcase again his skills and by that for sure the whole camp is preparing some interesting strategy that will enhance their chance to win against Crawford.

I guess I am kind of neutral in this fight. Both the fighters look pretty good to me and all I hope is that they can provide a show for the fans out there.  I personally am not supporting anyone in this match, all I'm waiting for is a good aggressive and attacking game from both the fighters. I hope the fighters don't get defensive and ruin the game for the fans like Lima and Santos match previously.

That's more encouraging beating an undefeated champ, Porter is also a good fighter and same with you I see this as close fight both fighters have an equal chance to win against each other even it's not the case with the bookies they value the title holder which is Crawford. But if you will going to analyze and summarized both fighters skills, you will see that it's close to one another.
We'll see if that encouragement was enough for Porter to be able to defeat or even better knock out Crawford. I'm hoping too that it's going to be a good fight since as you've said, they're almost equal in strength.

It's really going to be close, I don't see Crawford having more experience. And on the contrary, Porter should have the advantage, he has fought prime welterweights and won against them. And Crawford? his resume is good, but he hasn't fight anyone close to Porter's style. The guy's workrate and chin is unbelievable. But I agree, whoever wins this fight could be in the judges hand and knock out chance is very slim as both have good and tough chin.

Terrence Crawford is undefeated and that can be seen in his record with a 37 wins and 0 KO which gives him a more experience that he could ever have to be able to give a good fight to watch for versus Shawn Porter. Also the odds between the two fighter with Terrance Crawford -400 betting favorite, Shawn Porter +300 underdog this without a doubt will give both fighter a tough fight against each other and finally Crawford has a big g=fight. In this case, I'll bet that this fight will go long till round 12 in favor of Crawford.

Wow! now that Manny Pacquiao is out of the boxing industry, another match that I think is surely worthwhile to watch, Shawn Porter might have 3 lost and 1 draw but it doesn't mean that he can not win against the undefeated Terence Crawford, he had fought against Yordenis Ugas and win with a split decision and has given Errol Spence Jr. a hard time even though he loses on that fight, I still think that he has given a good fight against Spence, but Terence Crawford is the favorite here in my opinion, and the caliber that he has was really remarkable, but I guess this will be a close fight but I think Crawford will still be undefeated after the fight.
I like to believe that as Shawn Porter is a decent fighter, still in his prime (I believe) but maybe not the best yet. Crawford has to be careful, he is fighting a different fighter, maybe not so accurate but his stamina is his advantage and he could be so aggressive in the entire fight if Crawford cannot hurt him.
