Kavaliauskas is a high risk - low reward fight for Crawford imho. For the die hard Crawford fans, this is going to be another not worth betting match here. I see Crawford ML 1.02. Grin

Well, it says mandatory challenger, but I must say that Crawford should step up his competition. Bob Arum really knows how to protect his cash-cow.

We have been talking about a potential clash between the 2 best welterweights, Spence Jr and Crawford. However, we don't know if this can happen in the future though.

Bob Arum is still the best promoter when it comes to match making and creating superstars. But this isn't hiding Bud from the other 147 champs. Crawford himself and Bob knows that they are favorite to beat any of the other 147 champions and stars. This is the reason why Bob is always trying to negotiate with Haymon to make the Crawford-Spence fight.

On the other hand, Haymon knows he got most of the big names at 147. He knows they are all underdogs against the p4p king (Crawford). This is why Haymon won't answer any calls from Bob. Haymon is protecting his assets thus depriving us especially Crawford vs Spence.

My opinion, Crawford will smash the other 147 champions.

Additional for the boxing records.
Terrence Crawford is totally has the advantage for the records.
But this fight is exciting since these two professional boxers has both no lost. Exciting, eh? This match will be tough for both because this fight will decide for their first lost.
I'm going for Terrence Crawford. I don't really trust or impress for every challenger in boxing.

For sure Crawford will be the favorite in this match. But why does Crawford's camp pick Kavalauskas as his opponent. I mean no offense but Kavalauskas is nowhere near the level of Crawford and this match would be a tailor made for him

It will happen, we're talking about massive marketing strategy here.  They are just building enough hype to sell this fight in the future. Boxing politics and conflict of promoters are a perfect alibis to keep this fight hanging.
However, the speculations about these two fighter (Crawford and Spence Jr.) has built enough audiences already.

Kavaliauskas wasn't too convincing in his last outing which ended in a draw by majority decision. But both boxers go into this fight undefeated. Crawford would almost certainly be the favorite to win this bout. But with the strings of surprises we've had this year, he would need to take the gloves off, and prepare adequately for his opponent.
