Hi all,

In what file should I put the --min-fans setting? cgminer.conf? If not what is the correct file and path to it? The same question goes for "--fan-dangerous-temp" and "--fan-hot-temp" settings. What is the exact correct syntax usage for this?

Also, I tried to find "temp-def.h" file and did not found it.

Thanks.

Indeed when i last tried it failed to work with the T9+. If you try install it directly to nand storage, you would need to use the recovery method using the sd card for the T9+ as explained by Bitmain support (which is the same method some people use to revert S9s back to older Bitmain firmware).

But your test would be nice to do against S9s. With BraiinsOS you have to find the most efficient settings manually, and it takes some time and lots of cgminer tries. I think philipma1957 did something interesting at 475Mhz 7.9v if i recall correctly, but each hashboard behaves different, with the boards from the S9j 14.5T performing best i think.

I got down to 8.2 8.1 8.1 did 10015 gh and 815 watts maybe freq 425.

Boards vary.   I have that unit up in Clifton will bring it back home and try to run it as a space heater.

I suspect if I play with my s9 space heater idea i will find perfect numbers for a 80c  1 board miner under 44db

maybe
39db
4th
390 watts

Brains at freq 450 volts at 8.4

My heater mod fans can only do 3000 rpm

The key is to get a stable temp with fans close to 2800.

Then no ramping of fans with a flat temp of 78:or 80

I think all my s9s could do this on brains software.

Better yet I can pull my s7 ln boards and fit the s9 in there .  Which means the psu is built in.

I think you will see the braiins logo not the dragonmint logo if it is a successful flash.

Hi,

I don't really know what I did wrong but I just flashed my DragonMint T1 G19 twice (without sd card slot) trough ssh, everything was successful.
Tried to login and still I can see the DragonMint main page logo, can't access.

Flashed back for check is everything works well, it is but after flashed braiin os can't access, don't know why...

Any suggestions ?

Ill see if I can conjure a working variant that is near  10ths/1000w or close as possible.
If I can get it to work in the first place. ? .
If anyone gets it (t9+) hashing on braiins at all post your benchmarks/settings please.

Cannot get braiins to work on t9+. It will boot into OS but will not detect hashboards.
I do like the fact that braiins will bring some boards back from the dead that were toast on original firmware.

My point was I got it stable and just thinking out loud on this machine and i want to try Braiins

So with that being said its finally stable would brains be better off on this firmware ive gotten stable.
from what Ive gathered it acts different dependent on its predecessors firmware.
*I also wanted to weigh in on efficiency differences in BMFW vs Braiins since brains inst officially on T9+

I fail to see the problem or specific support request you are answering, but I do not feel like extending this disagreement. Just pointing out some hypocrisy. I am glad you're an advocate, but just be consistent in your application of opinions.

I'm not sure you should lecture about being off topic after you posted in my Bitmain firmware thread Smiley

Its not about lecturing, but his own convenience. I think a T9+ thread would fit his needs better at this point. If you link to your thread, i can check my post and tell you the reason i posted there. But if i'm to guess, its probably a solution to a problem.

Hmm from the looks of it you started talking about 3rd party firmwares and bos was mentioned, so there i expressed my view about it, and so did the others.

I don't see why not, but since you went with the official Bitmain firmware, you are offtopic in this thread Smiley

I have a t9+ how can I help on trying this out on it? whats the best firmware to flash too before trying braiins? I did the november asicboot update without backing up the stable firmware, searching for a way to bring life to it.

Update I did this firmware to regain stability.

Antminer-T9+-xilinx-201905311102-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF-sig.tar
wasnt stable at first so I put it in -2TH/S mode
As of now im holding at 9 TH/S stable @ -2THS
Anyone know what wattage this setting pulls? if its 900 or less should i deploy it full time?
I have the xilinx controller.

Yes, funny hashrate.

Due to the faulty sensors its going to turn off (restart) constantly, unless you use a ridiculous dangerous temp or override the sensors. Of course you won't be able to monitor temperatures anymore if you do that, should the fans ever fail it will melt, probably... But i think you can leave the sensors alone and just use a ridiculous dangerous temp, so at least you can monitor the thing, more or less (ignoring the occasional 160°c spike) etc, giving you a chance to act manually, especially if you have a monitoring app.
