Two very interesting games yesterday:
Corinthians beat Agua Santa
Palmeiras beat Santos

There are only three games played, but I can see that Corinthians at least have a more organized team and it seems that the training time has been good for the team.
In three days' time, the team will have a good chance to show that they've really improved, because the game will be against São Paulo in Morumbi
Difficult match to bet on

Santos played well, but conceded a late goal in estra time and lost the game

I only placed a small bet on Corinthians  Cheesy

Well, at least I was able to make some money betting on Corinthians  Smiley. An interesting fact is that the team has won 10 games in a row, which is very good because it shows that the entire squad is on a roll and it will be difficult to lose to smaller teams in the São Paulo state championship. Would Corinthians be a team to keep an eye on throughout the year? Since the good phase has been going on since last year's Brazilian championship, it seems that the political crisis has been somewhat put aside and is not influencing the team's performance... that is nice.

Some of the big Brazilian teams that are competing in the state championships are not using their main teams, making betting much more difficult... before, it was quite easy to bet on the winner of Botafogo X Maricá, for example, how crazy, right? Everything to make things difficult for bettors.

The teams are taking the issue of resting the main team very seriously. And as you said, this is making any analysis difficult. Everything is unpredictable, which is why I am adopting the strategy of waiting for the entire championship to unfold.

With Endrick gone, the Palmeiras team really missed him and didn't have the same quality of play
Maybe now, with enough time to work and with Estevão, the team will improve again.
It could be that Estevão takes Endrick's place as the player who will make the difference

I hope what you said is true and comes true. With Endrick gone, Estevão now has more room to play and develop his own skills. As time goes by, he continues to improve.

And tomorrow we have Palmeiras x Santos, two great teams for sure. It will be a good chance for Santos to show that they aren't just playing around and are worthy of a Serie A team.

What are your bets?

I saw news the other day that pointed to the sale of a Palmeiras defender for a few million. Do you know? In addition, they will earn millions more just from fan club members. Palmeiras has been working hard these last few years, huh?

I've been thinking about this, from what has been reported here, Neymar's return to Santos is with a contract of only 6 months, perhaps that is the time necessary for him to return to playing at a high level and to be able to recover definitively from his knee injury. After that (if he manages to recover) he will play for Flamengo, as he himself has said countless times that he dreams of playing for Flamengo with a packed Maracanã. Well, this is just speculation on my part, the facts may be completely different, but if you analyze it, things fit together.

I read in an article that coach Jorge Jesus spoke about Neymar, and that could answer these doubts:
1 - Al-Hilal already have the maximum number of foreigners registered in the Saudi league, and to register Neymar, some player would have to leave
2 - Neymar isn't at the same physical level as the rest of the team, after all, he's been out of action for many months.

This led the team to offer Neymar to play in the Asian Champions League and the Club World Cup in the middle of the year.
Greatly reducing the number of games the player will play

With the World Cup coming up in 2026, which could be Neymar's last chance to win a World Cup, I believe he wants to play as many games as possible in order to be called up to the Brazilian national team.
So you'd think he'd want to come and play in Brazil, where he'll be in the spotlight a LOT, it's a league where he can play well again and Santos will certainly let him do what he wants, train the way he wants, etc.

What do you think about Neymar's return to Brazilian football? I read a lot of speculation this weekend, including that he has already agreed to play for Santos for 6 months. Will Santos have the money to cover his high salary?

According to media part of those money will be covered by  Hilal  If this true, the next question arises - why such strange deal? But probably this is just speculation and no one knows the truth.

Or what is the advantage of coming to play for Santos? A team that is not competitive on the national scene these days? I imagined that he would come to Flamengo, but it seems that will not happen.

Probably his injured knee prevent him from coming to Flamengo. Who needs the limping now and then players. On the other hand, Santos is the team of his "green", thus his choice is obvious.

But it still doesn't make sense for Alhilal to pay to loan the player. They loan Neymar, pay and don't have him for at least 6 months. This is strange, as are all these rumors and news. I prefer to wait and see what will happen.

I'm only hearing rumors that he's coming, I don't know anything for sure yet. But if that's true, why would he only stay for 6 months? He should come and retire, it doesn't make sense for him to go back abroad after that period.

I also read some news but didn't go too deeply into it
If Neymar returns to Brazil, I'm sure the only possible team would be Santos
He's the kind of player that the club can't pay directly, but can easily get one or two sponsors to pay his contract
His name is very strong and considerably increases marketing, shirt sales, stadiums will be full...

I haven't yet been able to conclude how Santos are doing this year, as they've managed one win and one draw so far but the next game against Palmeiras, in two days' time, in Santos, will be a good example of whether the team is better prepared this year

That's what I said in this topic and in the other one about the Brazilian championship, it's better to wait than to lose money now. By doing this we run the risk of leaving money on the table, but most of the time when you bet at the beginning you tend to lose money. Precisely because there is no parameter for comparison.

I end up getting excited to watch the games with my bets placed hahaha  Cheesy
But I have my bankroll management that I follow perfectly, without fail
I set a value for the championship and I keep going until the end only with that value, and if it reaches zero I stop betting on that championship (it's never reached zero)

Today there are 3 matches in the Paulista

Inter de Limeira x Guarani
Noroeste x Palmeiras
Portuguesa x Novorizontino

I will not place any bets today because Palmeiras win is only paying 1.32

I'll try tomorrow, my Corinthians against Velo Clube

Hey @rdluffy, have you made any bets for the first round of the São Paulo championship? I'm going to stay out of it this time, I'd rather just follow it, I'm not following the São Paulo teams very much so it would practically be a lottery to bet, evaluating the first games I came across Agua Santa, Palmeiras' terror, who remembers? hahahah it was epic.

2 bets so far
1 - Corinthians win
2 - Mirassol win or draw against Santos

But they are very risky bets, I know, I did it with a very small amount because in the first round of the carioca championship I lost the 3 bets and I need to see the teams playing to have a better idea for the next rounds
I'm curious to see the Agua Santa team this year too, along with Mirassol
I hope the teams are playing well, and I hope they can be a big obstacle for Palmeiras hehehe

I think your approach is good, to stay out and wait to make the bets, but like I said, I like the emotion of bet and watch the match hahaha (but again, only a small amount of money in that kind of game that I'm not so confident)

Yesterday I won one bet and lost another
At least Corinthians started the year beating Bragantino  Grin
But I lost the bet believing Mirassol would win against Santos  Tongue

Haha, I won my bet with Palmeiras... Palmeiras is always attacking, not giving space for the Portugues to attack, the team has many gaps and Estevão stands out a lot, with hats and pedaladas, this kid must become at least a Gabriel Jesus of life (in his glory days at Palmeiras).

It's so good to start the year betting on your team and winning. I only watched the first half.

Palmeiras, the Brazilian star factory.

With Endrick gone, the Palmeiras team really missed him and didn't have the same quality of play

Tomorrow is the big day for Sao Paulo, the championship will start
......

Since I've lost all my bets on the Rio de Janeiro championship, I think I'll focus on Paulistao, where I have more knowledge, but don't follow my bets hahaha
Almost all the games have very even odds, I only see Palmeiras as favorites against Portuguesa

I suggest not betting now. I'd rather let a few rounds go by so I can start betting something. That way I can evaluate what each team has to show and that way we can confirm the favorites. I may be leaving money on the table, but I think this detail is important.

But what about the thrill of watching a match and having placed a bet?
Hehehe  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
At least I'll bet on Corinthians

Maybe I'll place a small bet on Mirassol winning, believing they can surprise Santos

I'm curious and I'll try to watch at least 3 matches to see how teams will play in this first round

You're right, few things in life match that excitement. While the championship is still going on, I usually bet on UFC events, because there's one every week, so that's interesting too.

But anyway, I refuse to bet on American football until a lot has happened.
