I agree, they might use what I said earlier here, looking for talent for the main championship, so to speak. They test it in the state championship and put it into practice in the Brazilian Championship. It's quite fair in my opinion, revealing talent or aligning the team for a better championship would be ideal.

This is probably the best thing about the state championships, a good chance to align the team, to make some tests and to see if the team need any changes

There's another very important thing about championships
1 - Small teams play against big teams, gaining experience, attracting a large audience to their cities, so they can get a better sponsorship budget and can evolve more than just playing against small teams.
2 - a great chance to discover players with a lot of talent who could play for a big team

Exactly, in some cases it can be quite funny because a big team, with great idols, comes to a small city, in a small stadium, making the city revolve around a football match. It's really incredible. Not to mention the ways that fans like to watch the games, from buildings, on top of trees, on top of hills, etc.

You're right, it will probably be between Botafogo and Flamengo. I would bet on Botafogo, because Flamengo is in the middle of a change in coach, squad and board of directors. After all, we recently had presidential elections, and there could be many changes in all sectors. So, for the convenience of continuing a work, I believe more in Botafogo.

There really is a lot of spam, which must be why merits soucers don't like reading things here... it must take up too much time and most of the posts aren't very high quality. But if at least some of them were in the national championships tab, things would probably change, because the posts we make are good in my opinion.

And what about Paulistao?
Which team do you think will be champions?

Because maybe there could be another bet hahaha
I can bet on Flamengo winning the Carioca championship if you want to choose Botafogo
And in the Paulista I can finally believe in Corinthians, if you have another favorite team

The bets are not yet available on DuelBits, but I think I'll be able to see the odds next week to plan the first bets for 2025

In São Paulo, I also believe in Corinthians. Because of all the success they had last year, the team is a strong candidate to be champion. I think Palmeiras is reaching the end of its phase as the best team in Brazil. The difference between Palmeiras and the others is no longer that great, and it seems to me that the team and the coach are already reaching a kind of plateau. They are no longer playing that fantastic football and the tendency is to start getting worse.

One of the clubs that could be the "Paulista Champion" in (next) year is, in my opinion: Palmeiras or Corinthians, basically the elite of "paulista football". I don't think São Paulo has a chance, the team is not doing well in my opinion.

I still miss the Brasileirão championship, the points-based championship is something else, because the team that is leading has to have players and coaching staff with impeccable psychology.

The knockout championships also have a valid point, but because they last much less time than the points-based championship, they don't have the same emotional weight.

But let's enjoy what football has to offer us, because football is joy (and at the same time it's not, lol).

The Brazilian championship's straight points style is the same as that of the European championships, and it was a big change in Brazil, because in the past eight teams qualified for the knockout phase
But can I say something controversial?  Cheesy
I really liked that style hahaha, it was interesting to see the matches, because the first-placed team played against the eighth-placed team, the second-placed team played against the seventh-placed team, and so the logic went
So even eighth place had a chance of being champion  Grin

But the current method is much fairer with the most balanced team of the year and one that maintains consistency, I have no doubts and I don't want it to change

I believe Corinthians will be harder to beat in this state championship. Palmeiras is doing well, but as we all saw at the end of the Brasileirão, Corinthians was winning in a row. I hope they can find their feet and keep up the pace. If they can, Palmeiras will not have an easy time.

I hope so hahaha, Corinthians haven't won a Campeonato Paulista since 2019  Roll Eyes
And Palmeiras have won the last 3 titles in a row  Shocked

I'm really curious to know if Corinthians in 2025 will perform as well as Corinthians in 2024, if the team has really improved or if it was just a temporary distortion of reality. The same goes for Botafogo, so I'm really curious to see if they will be a title-making powerhouse in 2025.

Football can't stop, and neither can betting.

As for the merits in this gambling tab, I also don't understand why there aren't so many. After all, it's a super popular tab and one of the busiest on the forum. This incentive for merits should happen here too. Do we have sources of merits here?

The Carioca Championship should be between Flamengo or Botafogo this year
Vasco and Fluminense are unlikely to stand a chance

About the merits, I don't think there are any merit sources that frequent these boards
And unfortunately there's a lot of spam. I've seen this subject being discussed, I'll find the thread and post it here later

Regarding Botafogo, I'm sure they'll align and do well, regardless of the changes. I believe it's already become a kind of team culture, so anyone who joins will be included in that and will have the same spirit.

Same, Corinthians is one of the team that really makes me curious for next year, they are relied on and favored by some people so that it raises some public opinions that believe Corinthians can create success in several competitions outside the Brazil Serie-A.
As for Botafogo itself, it is still not so convincing but for Corinthians they have previously performed well in several competitions.

In terms of betting, I see not so many people betting on various Brazil football competitions, even for the highest caste of the Brazil League itself only few people follow it, maybe because it is not so popular and is still behind the quality of competitions in Europe.

Thanks for the merits my new Legendary friend  Wink
Let's try to change this slowly  Smiley

I completely forgot that you are a fan of Palmeiras
Your team is probably the strongest and the favorite to win again the title, let's see if Corinthians and Sao Paulo can mount a team capable of win against Palmeiras and avoid again the title
Are you optmist about Palmeiras or not?
I believe that Palmeiras will be among the finalists of this championship. I won't deny that they didn't have a very good campaign this year, because as I've said a few times, they lost in all the decisive games (like that match against Botafogo in the Brazilian Championship). I just hope i won't be disappointed next year.

If Palmeiras loses the Paulista, that's fine, the best team has to win and it has to be a team that deserves it or is lacking titles.

As for Corinthians, I'm anxious to see their performance and see if they can really keep up that winning streak.

Members, if you're reading this, consider giving merits to the other posts on this gambling board. Sometimes most members meet the goal of posting their campaigns here and so don't earn many merits, and it could be a great poster.

Football is the sport of joy, the one that doesn't have violence on the field, but it's the sport where people fight the most, hehe.

Football is both fun and fighting, but where there are people gathered and cheering together, there is a chance of fighting, especially if the fans are very fanatical and get mad because their team lost, but it has always been like that.

That is why Brazilian football is watched even abroad, it is an exciting sport.

I just want to say here that i'm not advocating any violence, whether on or off the field, i'm just telling what reality is like.

Nice thread, it deserves one merit hehe
By the way, let's distribute more merits around here guys, it's very difficult for anyone to release merits around here and there's a lot of good content that deserves it

The state championships are an excellent way to get a preview of how the teams are doing for the most important championships such as the Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and the intercontinental tournaments
It's also great for testing and making some adjustments

What's more, it's also a good way to win some bets, since almost all state championships are dominated by the same clubs
Since I'm fan of Corinthians, I always follow Paulista, but always take a look at Carioca, Mineiro and Gaucho
That's it, football can't stop and the São Paulo championship, which is what I follow because of my team, Palmeiras, is always very good.

You're right, I don't know why the merits are so scarce in the gambling tab, there are users here who are very experienced in both sports betting and gambling, experience with casinos and so on... they deserve more recognition.

I like watching the state championships because of the revelations of the teams that moved up a category or that remain and that normally don't have great opportunities. In addition, I like to watch practically all the classic games of the state championships. So, I'm happy that soon we'll have more football!

The state championships are very charming. The state classics and the rivalries are the best part for me, for example Petkovic's goal in the 2001 Rio de Janeiro state championship, a beautiful goal in the 43rd minute of the second half, Vasco was practically the champion and Pet went there to score a goal from a free kick, I watched it live and it was one of the best moments in football for me.

All the most renowned state championships have a great story to tell, but only those who live in Brazil really know it; people from other countries will probably never understand the magic of the state championship.

Petkovic free kick goal::

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD_RcvoOIP0

That was a really beautiful goal, and his celebration knowing he did his job is very moving.

Whenever I hear anything about Petkovic, I remember his Olympic goals, when he would shoot from a corner and score. I think he was one of the first to do that here in Brazil, so much so that it became a craze, everyone wanted to do it and the coaches even had to change the defense on corners because of him.

Petkovic was a very curious case, he returned to Flamengo in 2009 to pay off a debt that the club had with him since 2001, he was not even supposed to play, he was just supposed to train, fulfill his contract and say goodbye to the club, but the team had numerous absences and the only option left was Petkovic. He joined the team and never left and was one of the great protagonists of the 2009 Brazilian championship title, in that championship he even scored 2 Olympic goals, against Palmeiras and against Atlético-MG.
