Well, I sold my Britcoins a few weeks ago when it seemed that things were going slow.  Sad that Will left, but it seems that the rest of the Britcoin team left first, and that Will on his own wasn't really able to compete with SterlingCoin.  I wish the SterlingCoin ppl had contributed to Britcoin rather than making a new coin but what can you do?  ¯\(°_o)/¯

When you invest in a coin you're investing in an open-source project, not one particular dev.  I thought Britcoin was doing well until SterlingCoin came along.  And we did at least get the TOR wallet in recent weeks.  I think that Will must have been working hard with BuyBritcoins.com too — You know that that's operated manually?

I think there would have been interest in another dev or the community contributing to or even Britcoin if SterlingCoin hadn't come along, but now I don't know — Hard to convince people a project is necessary if there's already someone doing the same thing very well.  I think Britcoin has the better name though  Cheesy  and what a fantastic poster that was made for it.  A shame to let that go to waste, so I hope someone steps in Smiley  Britcoin community, how about coming up with some community bounties for what you want done?

Thanks mate, well said.  Whoever steps in (will be announced next week) will have more time and capital to put in to this project than I could, so we can look forward to Brit moving forward again. Smiley

rghmodz : You did a small portion on JS on one website which you didn't even complete successfully and I still paid you.  You have been spreading lies and making ridiculous acquisitions towards me all evening, I think you need to show some respect and stop it.

You beat me to it, was going to post here today to let everyone know.  There are 3 days remaining so it's enough time not to spook new buyers and give the community enough time to bid.  As the link mentions I'm looking for someone to take this project forward, as you guys know I haven't been able to move things along fast enough, due to no longer being able to work on this project full time and a severe lack of funds.  The reason for the auction rather than letting this become a community project (apart from the fact I don't know anyone personally who would be suitable) is because in my experience the person/people who will take BritCoin forward will need at least some capital, otherwise things will not progress.

As I mention, I will still be part of the community and will do what I can to further the cause an still think this will be a success, but I'm stepping aside and letting someone else take the lea.  I know things will be better in the long term if this happens.

I hope you all understand why this is for the best interest of Brit, the coin is going in a new direction and I honestly believe it will be better off for it. Smiley

Means the project has stalled I say it's a good thing, I hope there will be some interest.

Brit has a strong marketable name, it's what drew me to the coin in the first place.

Thanks Leigh, there has been some interest from a few people and as I've said I will still be involved with BritCoin when I can, but handing over the reigns to someone new who I'm sure will push this project forward will be beneficial for everyone. Smiley

BritCoin will progress and the best days are still ahead of us. Smiley

Well, this here is where the sublime meets the ridiculous... which is the nice way to say that you are full of crap. Sorry.

Well that's your opinion mate, people who have been involved with BritCoin will vouch that I'm not full of crap and have the best interest of this project at heart. I have put more time, effort and money in to this project than I could really afford and it's time for someone else to take the lead on this.

You seem to have an interest in Brit so I would like to know your opinion on what you think should happen, or do you just want to see Brit fade in to obscurity like so many others? Smiley

At this point it is simply too late for Brit to be saved. You, Will, have tainted it completely with your permanent bull crap, that last straw being the NEW THREAD. Truth is that no one couldn't put any trust on you, on any level and that's why it is where it is.

Now you are "auctioning" it. Auctioning what, this turd? You mean you expect somebody to actually pay anything, no matter how small, for the turd that you have created? Maybe the other way around, they will want to be PAID for trying to salvage something of this Titanic that was never afloat, but pay you? Boy are you detached from reality!

Any and all altcoins out there -even confirmed scams such as BAY-, are better investments than Brit so why would anyone at all want to try to get this one to rebound somehow? on what credentials or purpose?

Let it die a dignified death since you gave it an embarrassing life. And disappear from crypto altogether because you, my boy, are done.
Well he also dumped approximately 400k britcoins while price was at 600 sat. Plus the $500 USD someone is paying for britcoin on the auction. He made/is making a nice profit off britcoin.

Edit: He also refused to show me txids and addresses he used and wont show proof he didn't dump.

Edit2: When he was gone from ann and irc channel he came back 2 weeks later saying it was because his sister had a baby. He was talking and active in the pandacoinpnd channel. So why can you talk in 1 channel but not the channel for the coin you made?

How he can prove you that he didn't dump?

barabbas, BritCoin is only 6 months old and if you think it's finished you're a fool.  As I've mentioned I just don't have the funds or time to be leading BritCoin, so this is in the best interest of the coin.  The new owner will have a great base to start from and will be able to get things moving again, if you think that's a bad thing then you need to get your head checked.

I'm going to ignore the rest of your post since it's BS.  But to clear up one thing, just because your BritCoins may be worth less than what you bought them for doesn't mean anyone was scammed, investing in crypto is risky and if you really don't believe in the long term goals of BritCoin then you shouldn't have bought in the first place. those increase numbers don't say a thing, most of them I do, buy a little and the last sale is compared to the one 24 hours ago.
even very small amounts can give 200% higher
I think personally that 300 till 500 satoshi is normal, now it is around 30% of that, even small investing can let rise Britcoin to 500 satoshi
Whats the average price coming out for all the brit you bought?

I think you've made the right choice regarding the future of brit. Glad you'll still be involved somehow.

I'll still continue to stake my coins Smiley

So what exactly are you selling? Britcoin.io?

Thanks, glad you see this is for the best, I'll still be around and will never be too far away.  The website/s are for sale and the Github, Twitter, Facebook accounts etc.  Plus the VPS seed nodes, so they will have the full opportunity to get things moving in the right direction again with new developments and marketing campaign.
